Transfiguration Lesson 1 (1992) - Page 2 Empty Re: Transfiguration Lesson 1 (1992)

Post by Junis Prince Tue Apr 29, 2014 1:08 pm

Ian and Neville looked at each other with a small grin. They had already read up on that spell a few days ago and had practiced together, so hopefully they would be able to transfigure their animals without a problem.
Tapping the small bird three times, Ian said "Vera Verto!" and watched it slowly change into a small golden goblet. He looked over to Neville who was doing the same, unfortuntely his goblet was still as green as the frog had been and when Ian reached out to touch it, it was even a bit slimey. "Well... " he shot a grin at the Gryffindor. Neville blushed slightly. "I guess I should have practiced a bit more." he said sheepishly.

Junis smiled slightly at the green goblet of the Gryffindor boy in front of her and turned to her raven. "I'll try to make it smooth" she promised softly and lightly tapped the birs's head three times with her wand before incanting the spell which turned the raven into a crystal goblet.

David grinned back at his friend. "Neat indeed.. tell you what. when we learn how to turn humans into animals, you do that on Di'Angelo, and I will turn her into a goblet, deal?" He smirked slightly, but was still worried about his owl. He trusted the professor, but still felt like his owl was in danger.

Mio bit his lip hard to keep from bursting out with laughter at his friend's comment. "I'd love to see that, though I think we should turn her into something different, a toilet for example.." he gave back, grinning evily, his eyes looking over to the Hufflepuff girl.

Moving right along the tables, Vixen stopped and watched as the three Slytherin girls changed their animals into goblets all of different colors. "Excellent work girls. 10 points a piece to Slytherin," she said proudly before moving to the next table.

As, the blonde turned her animal into a goblet flawlessly, she nodding in approval. "Well done, Miss Grimm. Nicely done. 10 points to Slytherin," Vixen said happily. Her house was cleaning up today, that was for sure.

Next, came a Ravenclaw who also performed the spell perfectly. Grinning as the girl helped one of her fellow classmates, Vixen praised her, "Great job, Miss Valkyrie. Might want to listen to her, lad. Sounds like she knows what she's doing. 10 points to Ravenclaw."

When Vixen stopped in front of Ian and Neville's table, she crossed her arms as they worked. Both achieving success, in some form, she nodded. "Excellent, Mr. Mortinson. 10 points to Hufflepuff," she said and picked up Neville's goblet that was still rather frog-like. "Mr. Longbottom, a valient effort. You've been practicing? Next time, don't be so timid. Cast with certainty," Vixen said, replacing the goblet. "10 points to Gryffindor," she said with a wink before heading to the next table.

Transfiguration Lesson 1 (1992) - Page 2 Empty Re: Transfiguration Lesson 1 (1992)

Hearing the instruction to go, Rowan gave the rabbit on her table a final stroke before tapping it softly tree times and saying the incantation as instructed, "Vera Verto..." The once white rabbit shifted into a crystal clear goblet which made Rowan smile. Glancing at her brother, she waited to see how his attempt at this spell would go.

---

Lara had read up on this spell and was happy to get the chance to give it a try. Holding her hand up, the yellow bird hopped onto it, and she put it back on its little stand. "See you soon, little one," she said softly, before tapping it three times and saying the incantation. The little bird vanished and was replaced with a lovely yellow crystal goblet with a twisted handle. Smiling, Lara rested her head in her hands as she simply admired what she had made.

---

Luna and Gus stopped their converstation just in time to hear Professor Yaxley instruct them on this new spell. Glancing at one another both began working to change the animals they just took notice of into goblets. Gus performed the spell just as instructed and his hedgehog turned into a blue and clear striped goblet. Sitting smuggly, he looked at Luna as she worked to turn her bluejay into a silver and gold goblet. "Beat you," he said. "Wasn't racing," she retorted with a happy smile.

---

Serena had opted to sit with William after they entered to help him feel better about class. When they were allowed to, both began casting the spell they were taught. Serena watched as William cast it perfectly, turning his green lizards into a green and gold goblet. Winking at the blonde next to him, he nodded for her go ahead and try. Serena tried once, but her hamster remained a hamster. The same thing happened on her second try. "Sit up straight," William offered gently. Nodding, Serena pushed her sleeves up and sat up straighter than she had been before. Tapping the tan ball of fur three times, she said softly, "Vera Verto." With a smile, she watched as the hamster changed into a deep red goblet with a double twisted handle. "Thanks," she said happily.

---

Ron was nervous to be trying this spell on Scabbers, and even more so that his wand was only held together by his magical tape. Looking at Harry, the doom he felt was all over his face. He hadn't had the nerve to tell his parents that he needed a new wand. Not after the Howler he got from her earlier about the car... With a sigh, he gave it his best shot. Tapping Scabber three times and muttering the incantation, Ron watched as the rat turned into a goblet, but was covered with fur, had a tail, and was squeeking angrily.... Picking it up to give it a look, Ron set the cup back down and put his head in on his arm on the table. "Mum is going to kill me...." he grumbled as he knew that if he didn't tell her about his wand, Professor Lestrange just might.

Adrastos looked down at the dark grey owl in front of him, petting it softly, before smirking, Alright then, he mused before waving his wand over his head. Then, he tapped the owl's head thrice, "Vera Verto!" The owl suddenly began to twitch at a rapid pace, and suddenly shifted into a dark brown shinning copper like goblet. Adrastos whistled, and leaned back in his chair, staring up at the ceiling, grinning.
---

Atticus sighed and a growl echoed in his chest. He was finding the classes more and more annoying, and his patience was running out. However, Celeste was there, and she kept him cool, calm and collected. "Vera Verto," he cringed tapping the head of the swallow in front of him three times. Looking at it morph into a crystal like goblet, he shook his head, atrocities, he thought.

---

Ares tilted his head towards his sister, raising a brow, giving her a fake smile. Why can't they teach us something we'll actually fucking use, he growled and rubbed his temples. He could only imagine doing to this professor what he did to Lockhart. Taking out his wand he tapped the damned bird in front of him, "Vera Verto!" he exclaimed and watched the bird turn into a yellowish crystal goblet.
---

Malphas nearly felt the need to clap at the fact they were 'learning' this spell. How pathetic, he had done this spell over a thousand times already and it was the most simplest of shits. Growling, he set his wand on top of Kina, his still growing python, and uttered, "Vera Verto," and watched his dear snake disappear, and turn into a scaly lime green goblet. Now that is beautiful...

---

Kain looked down at the slimy dark green frog crouching down on his desk. Breathing deeply he took out his wand and waved it around before its tip landed softly on the frog's 'forehead'. Tipping it three times in a row, he pronounced, "Vera Verto," with a small smile he watched the frog turn into a nearly transparent light green goblet.

---

Ricardo nodded at Adrastos after seeing his friend execute the spell flawlessly. Clearing his throat in the lowest tone as possible, he sighed. "I hate seeing animals shifting," he muttered under his breath and felt his chest clench around his heart. It was Lon speaking, apologizing even if he didn't need to. "Vera Verto," Ricardo uttered after patting the bird's head with his wand, and he watched it change to a beautiful bright goblet.

---

Raphael let out a small cackle and instantly covered his mouth with his palms, nudging Malphas, "You're a bad influence," he told him before arching his back until his joints cracked. Cracking his neck afterwards he focused on the bird in front of him and tapped its head thrice, "Vera Verto," he then grinned as the bird quickly changed and did as he ordered, leaving a simple white goblet behind.

---

Harry watched Ron try to perform the spell and shook his head whilst he looked towards the floor, pitying the fact his friend's wand broke when they landed in hogwarts earlier that year. "Cheer up Ron, we can always ask Dumbledore to fix it," he shrugged then turned to hedwig. Patting her head, he uttered "Vera Verto," and suddenly hedwig turned into a shinning silver like goblet. Perfect, he mused but then shot a kind look at Ron.

David nodded at Mio. "A toilet would work well for her, since she is always full of shit." Despite the fact it had been almost a year since the scandal with her, David still despised her, probably because she was still trying to mess with his mates head.

Mio snorted at David's comment, but he did not disagree. He normally wasn't someone who wished for bad things to happen to anyone, but sometimes he just couldn't help himself. Especially if you messed with one of his friends, then Mio could turn positively evil. “Don’t give me ideas David, I might actually start researching…” he muttered under his breath.

Transfiguration Lesson 1 (1992) - Page 2 Empty Re: Transfiguration Lesson 1 (1992)

Stopping at the Avery table, Vixen watched as first Rowan and then Ares transfigured their animals. "Excellent, both of you. 10 points to Ravenclaw and 10 to Slytherin," she said picking up both goblets to take a closer look. Nodding in approval, she set them down and headed to the next table.

"Well done, Miss Crawley! Really fantatic work. 10 points to Hufflepuff," she said before looking towards Gus and Luna as they seemed to race to get their animals changed. With a chuckle at when they were finished, she looked at both their pieces. "Great work, race or not. 10 points a piece to Ravenclaw," she remarked shaking her head as the two continued to banter back and forth. Moving her focus to the table where her son sat, Vixen nodded for him and Serena to show their work. She couldn't stop the small smirk of pride at seeing William transfigure his animal flawlessly. "Excellent, Mr. Black. 10 Points to Ravenclaw," she said with a wink. As she observed him help Serena with her failed attempts, she Vixen nodded in approval. "Good eye. Remember, Miss Black, posture is just as important as the other parts of this spell. 10 points to Gryffindor," she replied, and moved on.

Pausing at Ron and Harry's table, she crossed her arms to await their work. When Ron's rat turned into a very rat-like goblet, Vixen took a closer look at his wand before shaking her head slightly. "A good attempt, Mr. Weasley, but in order to perform this and any other magic properly, you will need to either get your wand repaired or obtain a new one," she informed him. When Harry tranfigured his owl flawlessly, Vixen nodded and smiled, "Fantastic, Mr. Potter. 10 points for you both for Gryffindor."

Next up was Adrastos and Richardo. Vixen watched both boys closely, knowing that this lesson might be rather difficult for the young Lupin due to his recent life-changing experience. However, she believed in his skills and knew he would do just fine. As both boths executed the spell as instructed, she nodded in approval, "Well, done, both of you. 10 points a piece to Gryffindor."

Moving to Atticus, she wasn't at all surprised by the skills he showed as he completed the spell. Looking at him, he noticed the slight similarities between him and William that she hadn't seen before. "Well done, Mr. Black. 10 points to Slytherin," she told him and shifted her attention to the table with Kain. "And, to you, too, Mr. Shadow. 10 points to Slytherin," she said proudly as the students of her own house did wonderful work.

After circling the entire room, Vixen came to the final table. As Raphael and Malphas both executed this spell without any troubles, she picked up both goblets for a closer look. "Excellent, both of you. 10 points to Ravenclaw and 10 to Slytherin," Vixen said before heading back to the front of the class.

"While simple, this spell is cridical to you all learning to master your skills in transfiguration. You all did very well! See you next class where we will look at something a little more challenging," Vixen told them all before clapping her hands causing all the goblets to return to their original state. "Class dismissed!" she exclaimed and, with a wave of her hand, the classroom door opened to allow them all to leave.

As the lesson was completed, Rowan packed her things and went to head out, but then remembered that Ares had asked her to wait for him after class. Settling back down, she offered a small smile to her brother. "Where you off to next, Ares?" she asked as she set her bag back on the table to wait as he requested.

Neville and Ian packed up their things and turned to David and Mio. "Hurry up guys. You don't want to spend the whole break here do you?" Ian teased the other two boys with a cheeky grin. Neville held a hand in front of his mouth to hid his smile, not wanting to make the boy angry with him.

Throwing his bag over his shoulder Ares ponuced off his seat, cracking his back. Hearing his sister, a dark smirk took over his features as he looked over his free shoulder. "Somewhere, it doesn't matter, just tag along," he told her moving away from the table they were sitting at.

Rowan shrugged and slipped her bag over her shoulder. Getting up from her seat, she fell into step next to him as they walked out. His smirk made her feel slightly uncomfortable, but he was her brother. She didn't ask where they were heading again, as following him would take her there. In the back of Rowan's mind, she felt a small prickle of warning, but pushed it away. Why would she need to be worried with her brother, even if he was...different?
