Transfiguration Lesson One, 1994 Empty Transfiguration Lesson One, 1994

Post by Ivy Stevenson Fri Sep 05, 2014 2:38 pm

Ivy couldn’t figure out if she was nervous or excited as she began to prepare for her very first lesson. It wasn’t that she was planning on showing either to her students, but since leaving Wolfclaw she had allowed herself to feel somewhat normally again. Her short dark hair was tied at the back of her head to keep if from her face as she instructed her students, and she wore simply robes.

The room was cool, just the way she liked it, as she began to set up the area for her class. It only took twenty minutes of some well placed charms in order to have the room ready for the lesson.

With the classroom set up in a way that made it possible for everyone to see, she sat behind her desk at the front of the room and awaited the arrival of her students.

[Note: I will post here once per day, or after every five posts, which ever comes first (or I’m online for, and is fitting). If you post late, don’t worry: just post as though they’ve been there the whole time!]

Rachel rushed into the classroom, chewing on her last piece of buttered toast. She was a bit late with going to breakfast so she had to eat on her way to her first Transfiguration lesson. Rachel saw her professor sitting behind her desk and was also very surprised that she was the first one in the classroom. Rachel slowed down as it was not nice to talk with her mouth full of bread. As she was at her table, she could properly say good morning to her new Professor Stevenson.

"Good morning, professor. I thought i was late but i guess i was mistaken. I'm Rachel Snape." Rachel introduced herself while she grabbed her books and she sits down, waiting for other students to come in.

Violet dragged on her friend's hand to get him to hurry up. She really did not want to leave a bad impression on her first day and pushed Sithon through the door as one of the first students. Only her sister was present so far, so Violet flashed her a smile and sat down next to her. "Good morning, Professor." she greeted politely before turning to her sister. "Excited?" she asked in a lowered voice.

Tatsu pushed through the door, Nyx right behind her and they took their seats in the back of the class, completely ignoring their teacher and classmates. They were not very interested in Transfiguration, but as they had to take the subject, they would just try not to be picked during the lesson and kept to the back of the room.

Ian, Neville and Junis entered the room together and walked to the front of the class, easily chatting with each other. "Morning, Ma'am." the two boys smiled warmly at their new Professor while the Ravenclaw girl just nodded politely. "I am very excited to what you will be teaching us this year, Professor." she said, trying to stifle her eagerness to learn. Ian rolled his eyes and pushed her towards and empty desk. "Ravenclaw..." he muttered jokingly and fell into the seat next to Rachel's and Violet's desk. "Hey girls!" he greeted and winked at them while Neville sat down next to him and Junis in the row behind them.

Rachel turned her head when she heard noise at the door, she saw her sister enter with her friend. When Violet sat down next to her, she was cheering inside. Being from other houses, Rachel was a bit anxious about Violet and her. Maybe not about the band between the two of them but more about what other Slytherins would say about her house or about the houses in general. As Violet asked Rachel was excited, Rachel nodded, smiling at Violet.

"I have been looking out for this lesson the whole week. What about you?" Rachel whispered back and nodded at Mio's friend Ian who greeted them.

After shooting her brother's Hufflepuff friend a smile, Violet turned to her sister and shrugged. "I was more exited to go and explore the castle a bit." she said, quietly enough so their teacher would not hear her words. Violet did not care much for Transfiguration, having a greater interest in charms and defense, but maybe their young teacher would be able to get her hooked on the subject as well. Leaning closer to her sister, a mischievous expression appeared on Violet's face, her dark eyes sparkling darkly. "Have you seen all the cool people from the other schools? They look so mysterious! We really need to get to know them a bit better, don't you think?" she whispered to Rachel.

Rachel listened to Violet and nodded. She looked away for a couple of minutes but turned back when her looked at her. Rachel had to hold in her giggle as Violet spoke about the people of the other schools.

"They do look mysterious but how are you going to do that? I mean i heard the Wolfclaw students are pretty damn dangerous. They do look more mysterious than the other two schools." The expression on Violet's face was one Rachel knew out of thousands, she always had the expression when we were planning something great but forbidden by our parents when we were home. Rachel smiled. "Whatever you're going to do, i'm in but we have to keep ourselves safe. Dad cannot find out about your plan." Rachel said in a whisper.

Transfiguration Lesson One, 1994 Empty Re: Transfiguration Lesson One, 1994

Post by David Shuter Mon Sep 08, 2014 9:59 pm

David entered the room, and grinned when he saw the two Snape girls were there, with Neville and Junis and Ian. He snuck up behind them and put a hand on each of their shoulders leaning forward to say "Morning ladies. How are you enjoy Hogwarts?" he flashed each of them a wink, before sitting beside Ian, smiling at the professor.

Jack entered just as he saw Shuter leaning over the girls. His hand twitched towards his wand, but he knew the professor could easily overpower him, so he just growled and sat next to Syr. Giving her a wick kiss on the cheek "Hello there" He murmured.

Zack Smith strolled in, spoke to no one, and sat by himself. Transfiguration bored him, but he took it anyways, like all 4th years. No one in the room was particularity his friend, so he kept his mouth shut.

Robert smiled as he entered the classroom and smiled at the Professor "Good morning professor." He then took a seat beside Zack, just because he seemed lonley.

George came in and ruffled David and Ian's hair. "I hear you two have already gotten into a little trouble with the Wolfclaw students. Good on you chaps. But a word of advice.. don;t take em head on.. pull a few pranks.. I am sure that is right up your ally." he winked at them, before taking a seat by himself, waiting for Fred to join him.

Violet cheered silently when her sister told her that she would go along with her plan, eager to spend more time with her twin. It was already enough that they were separated by different houses, so she would try to stick close to Rachel when she had the time. "Great! And don't worry, I already met someone from my house who is related to one of the Wolfclaw boys, so maybe we can meet them later." she whisperedly told her sister.

Turning to her boyfriend, Syrinx rolled her eyes and leaned against his chest. "Just ignore him for now, we can still kill him later, love." she told him under her breath and flashed a leer at the Gryffindor boy who probably had heard what she just said.

Ian snorted at the Weasley's words and turned to grin at him. "Well we had to improvise because you and your dear brother were to scared to go along with us." he gave back provocatively.

Transfiguration Lesson One, 1994 Empty Re: Transfiguration Lesson One, 1994

Post by Cinnia Valkyrie Tue Sep 09, 2014 12:04 pm

Bill sighed as he walked into Transfiguration. This was his seventh and final year at Hogwarts, and he planned to make the most of every minute. But the classes didn’t plan on stopping to allow that, so instead of being annoyed with lessons, he intended to even enjoy them. Misha was apparently missing from the class so far, he noted as he glanced around the room, so he found himself a seat near the back, next to an empty one for her to sit with him.

Alana’s arm wrapped around her school things as she made her way through the door to Transfiguration. Hogwarts had become a reasonably simple place to figure out, and classes had yet to challenge her, and she wondered if this one would be any different. It was not that she was incredibly talented with school work, it was simply that she had been able to focus even more on it since her school had arrived in the UK castle. Her eyes darted around the room, trying to make out anybody that she already knew, but upon finding nobody of interest, she figured it would be easier to just find somewhere to sit alone. The girl wondered briefly if the rooms were usually this large, or if they had been expanded magically to accommodate the three extra sets of students that were now attending. A seat in the back of the class was free, so she quickly took it without a second thought and began the wait for the so far silent teacher to begin the lesson.

Carmen frowned at Theresa’s not so subtle comment about how the new Transfiguration teacher was in fact an alumni of Wolfclaw. The Ravenclaw prefect had yet to encounter any issues with their foreign visitors, but she somewhat wondered if the new professor would show any favouritism. Quickly, she decided that there was nothing to worry about on that front, and she playfully pushed Theresa when her blonde housemate grinned. Obviously she’d been trying to make the brunette think even harder than she already had been. Taking a seat on opposite sides of the room, the two Ravenclaws pulled their books from their bags, awaiting the lesson to begin.

Lavender flicked her hair over her shoulder and she and Pavarti Patil walked into the room. With her friend present, the ash blonde found herself more confident and admittedly a little more arrogant than usual. Her eyes softened as they landed on the familiar head of her boyfriend, David, but as she noted the way he was draped over two of the younger students, they narrowed significantly. Her original plan had been to sit near him, but instead she purposefully walked past David and his group of friends, tossing her hair as she did so, and found a seat on the opposite side of the room. Even though he had moved away from the girls, she still didn’t want him to think that he could get one over her, even if it was all in her own head.

Amber’s red hair was pulled back in a way that was rare for her, and her cheeks were flushed pale pink. Anybody who knew much about her heritage would know she’d just consumed her fill of human blood, but something about the knowledge that nobody in this naive school would have any idea made her feel rather smug. She didn’t see any of her friends in the classroom, so she found herself a seat alone on the opposite side of the room to the window. There was no reason to give herself a major sunburn, no matter how good she felt. She brushed a sheet of hair over her shoulder as she rearranged the things in her book bag.

Nelle pushed a Gryffindor boy out of her path as she tried to get through the classroom door. Siv glared down at the raven haired Hufflepuff and pushed her back, a little more roughly than he had intended. But without an apology, he entered the room and dropped into a seat near the door. Nelle winced as her shoulder hit the door jam, and she brought her opposite hand to rub the area that she was certain would bruise. Her fingertips twitched over her wand, but she quickly pulled herself back into line, as she placed an upset frown on her face. If he hadn’t been blocking the doorway, there’d have been no problem, she thought, as her gaze became glassy with tears. They were not real, they were an act that she had perfected over time, and the throbbing that now emanated from her shoulder definitely helped them along.

Cinnia groaned as Astoria continued her story about her summer as they walked together into the room. Letting out a short laugh, the red head shook her head at the obvious idiocy of Astoria’s older sister, Daphne. Choosing their seats quickly, the Slytherin girls continued their chatting, Cinnia missing the small smile that Astoria gave Ian over her housemante’s shoulder.

Transfiguration Lesson One, 1994 Empty Re: Transfiguration Lesson One, 1994

Charlie and Mio walked into the room together, still deeply involved in their discussion about the latest Quidditch world cup, so they almost ran into a group of Wolfclaw students that immediately drew their wands on them. "The little kitten wants to play again..." Lezar drawled, but a head shake from Amatus made him put away his wand again. The two Gryffindors watched the other students head to their desks before splitting up to go to their own. "Hey guys." Mio fell into the seat next to David.

Thanatos slid into a room, smirking nastily at a little Hufflepuff whom he tripped on his way in. A dark shadow looming over him quickly made him hurry to his place next to some other Slytherins and Azrael just shook his head at the childishness of the boy. He walked to his girlfriend and sat down next to her, nodding curtly at Mio and his friends.

Sergej stood in the doorway for a few minutes, pondering on which seat to take and finally sat down next to the Slytherin girl he had seen hang out with his schoolmate a few days earlier. A young Gryffindor skipped past him and sat down next to Violet, nuzzling her cheek in greeting. "Hello Hana." he whispered into her ear before grinning up at the others around them.

Rachel smiled at her twin's excitement and nodded. "Okay, sure! In our free period today or after our lessons are done?" Rachel asked Violet. Rachel smiled at David who just came up and said hi, she then quickly returned to her books, opening them and getting ready for the lesson. She had noticed that her sister was right and that she had fallen for David but there was no way in hell she could have a relationship with him so Rachel decided to get over him and just keeping in mind that he is her brother's best friend and that would never work. Rachel bit her lip thinking about if she should tell Violet, even though she already knew.

Violet chuckled and ruffled her friend's hair when he finally turned up. She didn't see him all that often because he had been sorted into another house, so she enjoyed every minute they had together. "Hey Sithon, have you already met the Wolfclaw people?" she asked him excitedly before smirking at her sister. "You got it!"
Violet looked up when David came and shot him a grin. "Hey old man. It's quite nice, but I haven't seen much of the adventures Mio keeps talking about." she gave back cheekily.

Tatsu leaned forward from the row behind them to smirk at Rachel. "So you two are interested in the Wolfclaw guys? Want a boyfriend or what?" she asked amused and winked at them. "I can introduce you later, my cousin goes there." Tatsu nodded towards Amatus who had just entered with his friends. When the Durmstrang student sat down next to her, she glared at him. "Did I give you permission to sit here? I think after last time, you should stay away." she growled at him.

Ian and Neville looked up when Mio joined them and the Hufflepuff clapped his shoulder lightly. "Don't let them bother you, Claw. They're not worth it." he told his friend and tried not to glare at the Wolfclaw students. He could still remember their attack a few days ago.

David simply smirked at Ian and George's words "I think we can handle ourselves.. we're big boys and a big girl now" when Mio walked in, he clapped his best mate on the shoulder. He noticed how Lavender had walked right past him, and wondered if his interaction with the Snape sisters had anything to do with it. He took Violets statement to make a point, so he said loud enough for Lav to hear "that is because you are Mio's younger sisters, he isn;t about to take you out on awesome adventures.. especially in your first year!" however when a wolfclaw student started bothering Violet and Rachel, he turned around in his seat and growled "leave them alone, they obviously have enough taste to stear clear of wolfclaw."

When Syrnix leaned into his chest and muttered that they could kill Shuter later, he had to smile devilishly and murmur "but whats the fun in waiting?"

David proceeded to ignore anything a wolfclaw student said, even though he knew Lambert and Rowle were plotting his demise.

Ivy watched passively as students filtered into the classroom, nodding a greeting to the ones who spoke to her but otherwise remaining silent. Glancing at her silver wrist watch, she let out a breath and stood from her chair. Pacing, she examined each new face before stopping then the center and facing the class.

"Hello everyone, and welcome to the first lesson of Transfiguration for the year. I assure you that this will be the most boring of out times together, but we do need to attend to some theory," Ivy said, her voice not showing a hint of the nerves she'd felt earlier on. "I am Professor Stevenson, and I want three rules or restrictions on Transfiguration. Only one per student, please, and be sure to raise your hands. There will be no speaking out in my classroom."

Rachel listened to the professor. She looked at the side to her twin sister before she turned her face to the professor. One of the rules.. Rachel thought about it and then she raised her hand slowly not sure it would be a good rule but she had to try.

Violet turned her head to the front when her professor started to speak and listened calmly to her introduction. The woman seemed to be quite nice and she was relieved to hear that they wouldn't focus too much on theory this year, as she always preferred the practical tasks. Still, she had promised her parents to at least make an effort when it came to her lessons and she also wanted to leave a good impression on her professors, so as soon as the question was asked, Violet's hand snapped up, a confident expression on her face.
