Black Snow (Morgan)

Marvolo stood on the lake's shore rubbing the scar over her heart that said sirius she wanted to go find him but she felt it wasn't time. A sword was sheathed at her hip and she wore only a leather vest and skinny jeans with her heavy steal toed boots.

She was a new woman..she was aged...for them a month had passed...for her..it was ten years in hell.

Morgan was walking around the Black Lake. She had been walking there a lot as of late, mostly due to her dreams and her sudden inability to shift into her snow fox form. She couldn't figure out why she couldn't. Maybe it had something to do with her missing Marvolo. Afterall, Marvolo had been the one to teach her...

As she rounded a corner, she spotted an unfamiliar woman standing on the shoreline. "Excuse me, can I help you?" Morgan asked, mentally checking for her wand and feeling better when she felt it in her back pocket of her jeans.

Marvolo heard her voice, a smirk on her lips she slowly turned "Hey Snow"

As the figure turned and spoke Hey Snow Morgan gasped, her hands flying to her mouth. "Marvolo?" she whispered, bringing her hands down slowly. She was different, aged and scared. "Is it really you?" she asked.

"Of course its mean" she said with a wicked grin "...but you forgot about me. When you were fucking my soulmate" she drew her wand and leveled it at the girl "Did you really think you could do that, that you could betray me?"

Morgan help up her hands and lowered her gaze from the now much different Marvolo. "It just happened, Marvolo. I would never forget you. Not ever!" she said. "I think about you all the time. I even come talk to you here," she raised her bright grey-blue eyes to her, filled with sincerity. "Did you hear me when I spoke to you?" she asked.

"LIAR!" she roared tears were in her eyes she could handle betrayal but morgan!? "After all i did for you! I raised you from despair! I gave you the gift of your fox!" her voice rang out as she raged at her, with a violent gesture she threw morgan against a tree "My body wasn't even cold when you decided to fuck him was it!?" she spat her face inches from her own "You forgot he killed my child you stood there and watched as he tried to kill me and then when I was gone you didn't even mourn"

Morgan held Marvolo's arms as she got slammed into a tree. She cried out at the pain that shot through her. At all of Marvolo's words, Morgan began to cry. "I mourned for you, I still do! I cried for you! I owe you so much!" she said to her. As she looked away, tears fell onto Marvolo's hands that held her captive. "I'm sorry that I froze when Sirius hurt you, killed your baby. Everything just happened so fast..... I'm sorry. I'm sorry!" she began to sob. "I can't.....I can't change into my fox..... It's gone....." she said, raising her wet, bright eyes to Marvolo, the eyes that were from before she fell into darkness. They were pleading for her to understand.

"Your a traitor Morgan Prince" she hissed her pure black eyes grinding into her "You don't deserve happiness you don't deserve the fox it left you because you are not worthy"

Morgan's body trembled as she sobbed silently. "I wanted you to be happy! That's why I gave Sirius your ring back when you gave it to me! That's all I ever wanted! You were my friend! My sister! I could never forget you," she cried, shouting to try to get through to Marvolo. She took a few horse breaths and then looked away. "You can call me what you wish, but it doesn't change how I still feel about you..." she said in quieter tones.

Her heart began to break at morgan's words she bit her lip fighting tears "then why" she croaked "why did you sleep with the man I love you could have waited a year at least six months.....why do that to me.."

Morgan didn't look up when she spoke. "I don't know.... It was foolish...." she said quietly. When she looked up, her eyes were shining with her inner light. "I loved him, too. Still do.... Just not the same way.... But he still loves you, Marvolo. Merlin, does he love you," she said calmly. Morgan gently gave Marvolo's arms a squeeze, "As do I."

She saw her..she really saw her..."Morgan" she said her name softly her tears came forth how could she hurt morgan!? "Morgan" she said again pulling her in for a tight hug "my morgan..my sister.."

Morgan's eyes grew wide and her jaw went slightly slack at hearing the change in Marvolo's voice. As she was pulled into a hug, Morgan was stunned. Marvolo's hug made her wince when the pressure hit what she was sure was going to be a fresh bruise on her back from being slammed into the the tree. My Morgan..my sister.. Fresh tears welled in her eyes as she heard the old Marvolo, the Marvolo she loved. Morgan slowly, gently wrapped her arms around her, finally returning her hug. She smiled as she closed her eyes letting the tears fall from them. "I've missed you, sister...." Morgan whispered to her.

"I've missed you too" she chocked "i've been gone so long"

Morgan pulled away and looked at her friend. Sure she had aged, but how much she wasn't sure. "Marvolo, you've only been gone a month..." she said, her eyes confused.

Marvolo shook her head "I've been gone for ten years..time moves differently...in hell..."

Morgan's jaw dropped. Her knees buckled and gave out. She tried to hold herself up, but could feel herself slipping, putting more weight onto Marvolo's arms. "No.... No, not there......" she whispered, her eyes clenched closed. Sure Marvolo was a dark person, but there was some light inside her. Morgan had seen it, felt it... She couldn't believe that there wasn't enough light to save her from that fate.

Marvolo took morgan and helped her sit down, she took her hand and guided her through the scars on her face and chest the burns and tattoos, "each tattoo tells another horrifying tale of what happened to me" she said lowering her eyes "each injury i brought back into this world...was the worst"

Morgan sat trying to understand what she was hearing. Her free hand covered her mouth as she watched Marvolo trace her other hand through all the marks that now covered her body. She couldn't believe that she had been to hell and was now back. When she had touched the final mark, Morgan raised her eyes, full of hope and light, as the tears slid down her pale cheeks. She reached out and touched her cheek lovingly, a small smile touching her lips. "Welcome back," she said.

Marvolo smiled at her "I'm sorry I hurt you Morgan" she touched her gently "your engraved on my heart"

"I forgive you. I'm sorry, too," she said, wiping her tears away. "You have a place forever in my heart, too," she added with a smile. Morgan took Marvolo's hands in hers and raised them to her lips, kissing the back of each. "I wish I could run with you as Smoke and Snow once again. But, like I said," she dropped her eyes, "I can't. It's gone."

She brushed her hair behind her ears "I'm sure you can shift...I didn't take it away.."

Morgan shook her head and looked up, "I've tried. Nothing happens. I can feel it a little and then nothing."

"We'll work on it" she said with a smile she looked up at the castle "I can't go back yet, but its getting dark and you need rest"
