Defense Against The Dark Arts Lesson One

"Yeah!" Ian cheered for Rowan and shot a smile at her. That was a very impressive spell, he thought grinning and picked up a Pixie to put it into the cage. "I wonder if the next lesson will be as chaotic as this one." he wondered out loud and Neville visibly blanched at that. "I hope not..." he muttered under his breath, still shaken from the whole situation.

Harry smiled as everyone began placing the pixies inside the cage, "I figured you would Neville, as I hope not as well," he groaned slightly at the fact Lockhart was such an incompetent buffoon.

David smiled "good job guys." he patted Neville on the back, then said "I bet you Lockhart is not going to try this sort of thing again. odds are we'll be reading his books the rest of the year." He then came up with an idea, pointing his wand at Lockhart's door and saying "Incendio!" The door caught on fire. "Okay, lets get out of here before I get detention.." He said as he hurriedly gathered up his books and made a beeline for the exit.

Rowan smiled as she received praise from her fellow students at finally stopping the pixies that were making a mess of things. "Thanks, guys. It was nothing, really," she said, a blush coloring her cheeks. Picking up several on her way to the cage, William put a hand on her shoulder, and said, "Well, done. Too bad Lockhart wasn't here to see it. I bet you would have gotten a ton of points for that." Chucking they placed the pixies they picked up in the cage. Gus and Luna nodded in agreement as they loaded their pixies into the cage.

Serena walked over to Neville, picking up pixies as she went. She had seen the whole thing and wanted to check on her fellow housemate. "Neville, you alright?" she asked with a soft smile. Ron, glancing at the young blonde, looked back at Neville and said lightly, "Man, we gotta get you a lucky rabbit's foot or something. The classes are out to get you." He smiled to show he was simply giving Neville a hard time as a fellow Gryffindor.

Lara smiled and nodded her thanks to the Ravenclaw for bringing a stop to the madness. Picking up several pixies, she put them in their cage. Seeing David set the professor's door on fire, she rolled her eyes at him. "Real mature...." she said coldly, narrowing her eyes at the Gryffindor. She didn't care if he thought she was ruining his fun or not, so she cause Aquamenti with enough focus to put out the flames that licked Professor Lockhart's door. "Hope for your sake he doesn't take points from your house, too...." she scoffed as she brushed past in and out of the classroom. Sure she wasn't happy with the professor for his actions or what happened in his class, but that didn't mean that he deserved to be treated as the Gryffindor and Slytherin had.

Mio shook his head when his friend set Lockhart's door on fire. Not that he cared much for their screwball of a teacher, but he also didn't want them to get in trouble for something. Mio was about to stop the fire with a well aimed aquamenti when girl did it for him. "Let's just go..." he said and walked over to Neville and Ian to see if they were alright.

Neville smiled at Harry, glad that he was not the only one who thought that way. Another lesson like that and he might actually end up in the hospital wing. Something not even Snape with his potions had managed so far.

"David!" Ian exclaimed when his friend set the door on fire. "Are you mad?" He facepalmed and shook his head. Sometimes David really acted like a typical Gryffindor. Ian still had to grin slightly and nodded at Mio when he suggested to leave. "Yeah let's go." he agreed and walked out of the classroom which still looked like a mess.

Sydneys eyes widened as David set the door on fire, "Are you insane?" She asked at the same time as Ian. She ran out of the roo, completely forgetting her books. She was terrified of fire. Ever since she was a little girl and their house caught fire. She ran smack into Ian and stumbled backwards. "Sorry, Green eyes." She looked back toward the flaming door and whimpered.

Mio followed Neville and Ian out of the room, they had wasted too much time here already anyway and he was starving. They had just left the classoom when someone ran into his friend and Mio glared slightly annoyed at the Hufflepuff girl. "Are you blind, Di Angelo?" he asked her, stepping between Ian and his ex-girlfriend. He knew his friend and when someone looked as upset as the girl in front of him, he always had the urge to comfort them, but Mio would not stand for it. The girl probably just wanted to get close to their friend again.

"Sorry Mio. I'm just..... Im terrified of fire." She whimpered as the flames grew bigger. She hugged her brother who was beside her. "Jace..." She looked up at her brother who looked down at her with dissapointment, "What? You dont still blame me for that do you?" She was referring to the fire at her house when she was little.

Mio rolled his eyes. "That's too sad." he drawled and started pulling Ian away from her before his friend decided to start talking to the girl again. He normally didn't act that way, but something about the girl just rubbed him the wrong way.
