"And why does that matter? Why does it matter to you? I'm alone and I like that, if you don't, piss off," he replied angrily.

She swallowed hard her hair going from brunette to blonde to pink the brunette as she became increasingly nervous "..just wanted to try to make a friend.."

Leaning down his eyes darkened as they stared into hers, "Do you have any idea...how pathetic that makes you?" he asked with a whisper.

Curling her fist she pulled her fist towards her hip forcing the rock to fly up behind him and smack him in the back of the head. "Says the boy who can get showed up by a first year"

"I at least am not going around showing everything that I can do. I at least am not fucking predictable," he spat, holding the back of his head which was now somewhat sore, he was lucky considering the rock was the size of a pearl. "Now go on, get whatever you came to get and leave me alone," with a nod of his head he pointed at the basket she had put down earlier.

"You must enjoy failure" she chuckled "it must burn you seeing a first year do something you can barely fathom"

"You must enjoy being an annoying bitch because you just don't leave," he growled at her.

"Raphael" she said "Just try what I said ok? your to clever to just give up and not take advice when given.."

"I've noted your advice I just-..." he suddenly went silent with a sigh. Of course he was gonna use her advice only a fool wouldn't, but she didn't have to know. "...Can't you just leave me alone?" he plead.

"I'll leave if you give it a try" she said with a innocent smile, she really did want to see him succeed.

He sighed once again and turned to the rock that now laid behind him. Holding out his arm he looked over his shoulder. He realized that Mariya wasn't as 'bad' as he imagined. He imagined that as a Gaunt she'd think she queen of the school, and all would have to bow down to her. But instead of leaving or trying to hurt him, she was still trying to help him. Turning back to the rock he closed his eyes, and opened up his palms. Breathing deeply, he felt the rock rocket up from the floor and come to his hand. He held it up to his eyes and then opened them, smiling at his achievement.

Mariya clapped with excitement "You did it!" she squealed hugging him her smile was bright "when i first tried that I hit myself in the eye! you caught it! imagine what else you can do now that you've crossed that bridge!"

Feeling her arms around him, he smiled brightly, and specially enjoyed hearing her words. Wrapping his own arms around her he kept looking at the rock he now he held, and chuckled into her shoulder, "T-...Thank you."

She smiled at him broadly before stepping back a bit "Hold it in your palm picture it floating as if you cast wingaurdium leviosa" she nodded encouragingly, knowing he could do it.

Raphael nodded at her instructions trying to 'make it up' to her in a sense. Taking another deep breath he tried it once, twice, thrice and failed. But no frustration this time, "Do you believe in me?" he asked looking up from the rock.

Placing her hand under his she said "I believe in you" her voice soft and soothing "say the spell in your mind make the magic see that you are not just its master but its friend"

Nodding at Mariya, the name of the levitation charm echoed in his mind, repeating itself over and over, and the stone slowly began to hover over his hand.

squealing loudly she threw her arms around his neck kissing his cheek 'you did it! see!? you are so much more powerful then you think'

The stone fell to the floor as her arms swung towards him and wrapped themselves around his neck. Raphael smiled and pulled her into a very tight embrace, "...Yeah, I am," he sang out.

Being in this clearing making magic and learning together she leaned into his embrace her face in his neck. "See listening to me isn't that bad" she smiled "there is no shame in letting someone help you"

"Don't tell anyone though," he chuckled into her neck before kissing it momentarily, "Thank you," and he couldn't thank her enough, not just for helping him, but for staying there with him, for continuing to push on even though he was trying to push her away.

She pulled his forehead so his leaned against hers "I don't share magic and tell" she winked turning she picked up her basket "so may we do this again sometime" she said "I like seeing you succeed"

He nodded instantly at her question, smiling happily, "Yeah, I like seeing it too," he laughed slightly.

"Come" she said to him taking his arm in the crook of her elbow "should my father find you here he will be less then pleased." She giggled chatting to him the entire walk back to school.
