The trip to nexus could freeze the blood of lesser beings, but Marvolo walked across the snow tops her mind remembering the time she once came here to bind herself in contract with a family she respected the most in her hour of need. Entering Nexus as she did every year, Dragon would usually escort her but on this eve a solider appeared to walk with her, the moon ran cycles and the seasons changed but each year around Halloween she returned to Nexus to walk with her friend Averbane to train with Kronos and to feel peace for a brief moment.

Ignoring the younger gaurds who still did not know her muttering there hate she wore Kronos' sigil around her neck a sign of there bond and devotion to each others as warriors.

She missed Kronos so much it hurt, she yearned to see her brother but life took them in opposite directions, entering the throne room she smiled at Averbane's familar face, striding down the way she saluted him fist over her heart and a curt bow. "Averbane, you seem well my friend"

Glancing to averbane's side she realized they were not alone "Excuse me i did not see you had company...who is this?" she asked taking in the figures appearence.

Ares glared at her yet reminded silent, he turned back to the map and continued moving pieces "Kronos remove this Narvin vermin before I do." He continued to move pieces and write notes as Kronos approached.

Kronos stopped and saw Marvolo and he smiled he hugged her and grinned "Sister. How are you?" He asked with a wide smile. He heard a snarl and a blur of movement, the next thing he knew his head was rammed into the black steel wall with a sickening thud as the metal dented.

Ares had moved faster than anybody could register, he held Kronos with enough force to bend metal, Kronos's armour buckled under his grips sheer might. "I gave you an order. What was it!" He said in a slow deep tone, his anger irradiated off of him and infested inside others and seemed to file Ares "Remove her...sir...." Kronos managed. "Good, the insolent boy remembers. Now do it before I rip out your none existent spine and eat it." He threw Kronos towards Marvolo.

He stumbled and took her by the arm and steered her "Thats Ares. The General and best soldier ever." He said with shaky hands and wide eyes. "He won't ask again....I'm sorry it's a bad time" he began to take Marvolo away when Averbane bellowed "MARVOLO MY FRIEND! How can I help you?"

Yanking her arm from her brothers grasp she approached the throne her eyes turning colder then stone "I came to see you dear Averbane though your general has the manners of a muggle" she said

Ares grinned. "The bitch speaks, father why do you put up with such incompetense? She led the armies. She lost the war, she is a disgrace, let me kill her, I'll hang her from the battlements, guts and all. She's scum. She has no place here." he said with fire in his eyes.

Averbane looked at Ares, raised an eyebrow, then turned back to Marvolo. "Ignore him. He's my best man but he holds no love for anyone, just rage, anger, hate and vengence. I always enjoy your vists, please what is it you desire?" Averbane clicked and over 300 bows and 100 wands aimed at Ares along with 200 man strong wall of steel around him, but this army was seemingly small compared to the size of the room. Ares chuckled and glanced at Marvolo "Another time. Another day will come for your death."

Kronos came over to Averbane and stood guard along with another familiar soldier, a tall, dark, muscular man. "Hello Miss Gaunt. Miss me?" a familar voice said to her. The man held his Duel ended sword staff so well, it could only be one persons. The Dragons that ran the length of the Blade gave him away.

"Father?" she said with a breathy laugh "So this is Ares Grimm. My my i've heard so little of you my dear. Though you are as insufferable as I may have gleaned from the footmen. It takes a good general to win a war, and a great one to lose and save time for greater victory"

Her eyes falling on the dark man who stepped towards her she smiled broadly "Dragon!" she heard a sharp intake of breath from one of the guards as she stepped around Dragon's staff as if he hold nothing but a harmless stick and hugged him "its so good to see you, all of you gods be good who would have thought you two boys would make me so fond of you" she said with a smirk at Kronos "though living with you for a decade may have done that on its own dear Kronos"

Ares smiled "You don't deserve to hear of me, that is why you don't. Why would somebody tell you something important. You only deserve death. Which I will deliver."

Dragon growled "Try it Ares."

"Oh, don't tempt me Dragon, if you want, I'll feed you her body before sending you to join your wife. You foul blood"

"I will murder you! You swine!"

"Dragon. I am the deadliest man in this room. If I wished. You'd all be dead. Do not test me you stupid man." he rose to his feet and everybody in the room took a step back, including Dragon and Averbane. Kronos stood in front of Marvolo and held his sword.

Averbane sighed. "What would you request of me Marvolo?" he asked, changing the subject.

Marvolo touched Kronos on the shoulder gently her fingers grazing his neck "I'm not a little girl anymore brother" she said to him as she stepped forward. Brushing the blade aside she looked at Ares "How can a man so arrogant command an army? Do you rule by fear Ares?" she said with genuine curiosity "Ah but we all deserve death we all each of us in this room have blood on our hands and for that blood begets blood, so one day perhaps you will be the one to kill me but until then I remain a friend of your father's and the one who will do what you are incapable of. And that is conquer this pitiful world"

"Marvolo Eris Gaunt Carrow" he said darkly "You should be careful what you say to me. I break my enemies. I kill the child first, I skin them and hang it to dry then I pull the organs out and hide them round the house, but not the major ones, I keep the kid alive before slow roasting him and carving through his ribs with a blunt spoon. Then is the husband. I fight them. Lay them in thier bed, so when you come in and role him you will see his insides missing." he smiled. "I do not wish to conquer the world, I simply kill my enemies. I do not rule with fear but respect. I am the last patroned of my kind. I am the last Imperial. My blade skill is unmatched. My Battle tactics un beaten. My combat style unstopable."

"And where do you reside? In a cage. You are not respected merely feared your men will not die for you they will die because of you. When your time comes you will remain nothing more then a shadow on this great clan's name. A burden, a problem child." she walked closer to the man, where he stood by the throne she stood below the steps her expression that of amusement but otherwise plane, she was not the same person who stood here before the war she was a warrior and a queen in her own right. Win or lose she had changed.

"Do you know what I fear Ares Grimm?" She asked she could see his hands tense and relax and the way his blood flowed beneath the surface of his skin "I fear nothing, not the destruction of my family, my husband my children or even my own. So go ahead my dear Ares, paint your pictures they amuse me. Torture me and enjoy the sound of my laughter because pain is nothing to me. I am Marvolo Eris Gaunt I have spent a hundred years living in hell itself and do you know what I did when i had conquered heaven's armies a thousand demons at my command? Do you know what i did when I had won them all and became bored? I walked out of hell."

"You may be the best there is in this clan but this clan is not the world and this world is not the only one. You are a mere speck on the earth. A man who is trying so hard to make his mark, Dear ares I am not your enemy." she laughed softly "I am you."

Ares's laughed "GRIMMS! WHO DO YOU FOLLOW!" Immediately everyone other than, Kronos, Averbane and Dragon bellowed "Hail Ares!" they pounded thier shields four times then bellowed "To Deaths Abyss we follow. Hail Ares."

"Miss Gaunt, I do not lead by fear. I am the very best at what I do. Every Grimm's title name defines him. I am Ares, my name is greek. The god of War. War is my proffession. His name is Kronos, greek also, he is the Titan." he smiled at Kronos cruely then turned to another "His name is Felax" he said pointing to an lone spearman inside the ring of steel "It means Hells Spear in Grimm." he turned back to Marvolo "Every battle I led. I won, every Warrior I commanded. We one. I am Ultimum Praetor. I am the Grimm's mightiest warrior and they fear me because of it." he stepped towards her "You know nothing of hell girl. You may have died, but enter my prison. You know nothing." he gripped the hilt of his blade. "You are a Narvin. I am Imperial. The last of my blood line. I am your enemy Marvolo. You will die at my hands. You think your stories of your hell scares me? You know nothing. You walked out of hell and you had power but you lost it when your rage was quelled by Kronos and Luna Grimm, when they nearly died for you. You have no power compared to me. Marvolo Gaunt. You think you can laugh off this. Words of mine are not meant to inspire fear..." he moved his hand and before anyone reacted he'd cut down 37 men and his blade was at her throat. In the space of two seconds. "But what I am capable of is." he spun and caught Kronos's blade in his hand and slung him down the stairs before catching Dragons sword staff and breaking it. He lifted him and slammed him face down before sending him to join Kronos. He then looked back his blade not moving an inch. "Do. Not. Test. Me." he said as he loomed over her, his shadow ingulfing her. He growled, his crimson eyes glowing darky. He glared at her and in his eyes you could see the buring fires and souls of innocents. "Your death is unpermitted, but Kronos, Dragon, Luna, Morana, Felix Grimm, Emerys, Thane and Malphas I can kill. Do, not test me."

"Kronos, dragon please stay back" she said

She looked at him unflinching the cold steel resting on her neck her heart beat steady as it did not hitch. His threats were empty in her owns because she knew he would not harm her children and if he did try they were stronger then they appeared.

"Kronos' blood runs through my veins" she said quietly unperturbed by his looming figure. "You may be able to kill but i am able to conquer." she smiled at him darkly "go on, kill me where I stand. My death is not permitted but since when have you ever followed the rules? When was the last time someone stood before you unflinching? see if you can teach me to fear you."

Averbane shouted "Stop it." But Ares wasn't listing, he pulled Marvolo's eye lids down as he gripped the blade, bringing it back he then swung it towards Marvolo's neck bringing it to a stop as the blade pressed to her neck, drawing blood, he kissed her her cheek as he dropped the blade, and wiped his hand on her neck scooping up her blood. "Marvolo. Your time will come. The Reaper will claim you when your center is broken, when you fail to save who you hold closest when you bury your blood. I don't want to miss that my sweet." He said as he sucked the blood from his fingers. He grinned and walked away laughing as he returned to the map picking up his knife "The General Queen fights and fights charging hard with her knights, the Titan and soldier to battle till last breath, and one ventures through the doors of Death. One will die one will live, a oath to honour with final breath."

As he walked away she watched him with interest "if that will be my end" she said "it will be an honor to die at your hand" taking his words and saving them for a later worry she smiled. He was a intriguing man, though she did have a love for proving people wrong. "It was a pleasure to meet you dear Ares" the cut on her neck didnt bother her though she could feel it driping slowly down her chest. "Kronos, shall we walk?"

Ares looked at her and smiled. "An oath to remember in final breath."

Kronos smiled "Yes. Yes, lets" he smiled and saluted Averbane. Then left with her. "...he knows something..."

As they left the hall she smiled a bit "Doesn't he always brother?" she looked at him "are you alright? he tossed you quite a bit"
