Care Of Magical Creatures Lesson 1

Emrys walked quietly down the path her hair in a bun she smiled "Afternoon Professor Carrow" she said softly though not to disturb her uncle as she sat down on a bench a small smile on her lips.

Malphas entered the clearing, walking into it like it was a normal routine, and to him, it was really that. He spent a lot of time with his dad in the clearing, be it training or bonding. As he took long steps, he noticed Emrys was there and blew her a silent kiss. He looked at his dad and shook his head, and instead of sitting away from him, he sat in the pedestal his dad was standing in, "The others'll arrive soon, dad," Mal hummed and then began to whistle.

Artemis and Ember walked at their pace to the clearing. Ember had a bright smile whilst Artemis had a small one, they entered it and Artemis went straight off towards Emrys, practically tackling the poor girl in a tight hug. Ember slowly joined and waved at Bruce. ''Afternoon professor.'' She said gently, looking around. Artemis waved at Malphas, her small smile getting bigger growing more comfortable as people she knew were there. Her wavy hair framed her face as she looked around, curious.

Rowan headed towards the clearing for Care of Magical Creatures and was immediately taken by the scene before her. Not another housemate in sight. But, she did recognize Embrys, Malphas, and Ember. Tucking her dark hair behind her ear she nodded to all of them and spoke softly, "Afternoon, Professor," before taking her seat on an empty bench, and waited for class to begin.

Adrastos strolled in, like a boss, with muggle sunglasses on. They had been left behind by his mother before she disappeared and he used them as a tribute. Of course Aelia was more of a mother than his real mom, but still, he liked to respect the memory of his mom. He waved at Professor Carrow as he arrived, and then yawned and sat down.

Kain came in after Adrastos, and frowned at the gryffindor, before keeping on moving. He passed by Emrys, his cousin once removed, and her sister, and simply waved at them, before sitting down a few feet away from them, next to a small boulder.

Atticus sent his grapple towards a tree, and the spell did its job, and pushed them into the air, where he flipped and twirled until he began to free fall into the clearing. Using the spell placed on his 3D gear to his advantage, he pushed himself down, and then sent his grapple to the closest tree, pulling himself to the ground. Letting the handle go, the hook let the tree go, and Atticus landed on his feet. Walking around, first he waved at Kain, then walked to the girls. He tipped his head at Ember and Emrys, and then kissed Artemis' forehead, "Hey," he murmured, before tilting his head to the professor. He lifted up his arm, and waved.

Ricky arrived with his arm around Chase, as he looked around. Ever since those older boys had attacked her, he didn't leave her side until she got to her dorm. Then, he figured Ember would have to be enough protection. Looking around, he tipped his head at Emrys, then at Mal and Bruce respectively. He then turned to Adrastos and walked to him, brofisting him, but never letting Chase be off sight.

Harry walked into the clearing with Ron in toe, being only about five centimeters away from his best friend. The forbidden forest was much less startling at day though, that was something he had to admit. As they entered the clearing, Harry looked around, but as he seemingly knew no one but the gryffindors, he walked to them. Before, he did wave at Ember and the professor but quickly sat down next to Ricky and Adrastos, as Ron joined them.

Artemis watched as other people came into the clearing and she turned around just to see Atticus enter. A grin formed on her face as she remembered him helping her sleep and talking to her practically all night. She felt safer when he was around. Smiling as he came closer, she leaned into him as he kissed her forehead. Taking his free hand, she laced her fingers with his, feeling more comfortable. ''Hey..'' She whispered softly.

Ember waved at everyone but smiled at Kain; her cousin once removed, as they entered, her eyes lit up seeing Chase and Ricky so she quickly stood up and sat beside them. Taking Chase's hand, she kissed her cheek and then kissed Ricky's. Seeing Harry and Ron, she waved happily before looking back at the Professor.

Mio hurried down the path towards the clearing where his next lesson was about to start. Care of magical creatures did indeed sound very interesting.
When he arrived, he noticed that most of the other students were already present and he quickly nodded at everyone in greeting before walking over to his housemates. "Hey guys." he whisped in a hushed voice, hoping that he still had arrived on time

Neville blushed slightly when he stuttered a greeting to his professor and he moved towards the other Gryffindors. At least some people he already knew. Nervously, he looked around at the other students and swallowed. There were many Slytherins and his grandmother had told him that they could be quite nasty, so he better stayed away from them. Neville really didn't want to get in trouble with anyone.

Misha arrived with slow steps, three books in her hands, her eyes lost in daydreaming. She nodded at professor and joined Rowan, her only present housemate. She also managed to give a wink to Malphas as a small smile crossed her lips. She was glad she finally found herself some friends. Mal was amazing, he knew her secrets, didn't judge her and respected her. And she could trust him. And there was also Rowan, who would most likely ran and never talk to Misha again if she knew these secrets, but they had a lot in common and Misha felt good around the girl.

Neville shrank back slightly at his teacher's loud voice and quickly shook his head. No, he definitely did not have any questions. Except...could they die in this lesson? But he wouldn't ask that. The Professor looked scary enough, so Neville tried to make himself invisible behind the other Gryffindor boys.

Seeing the gryffindor boy that looked like the shyest of them all, Harry quickly disappeared from the front, leaving Ron, Mio and Adrastos there. Stepping behind Ricky, the tallest gryffindor there, Harry nudged Neville slowly and carefully, "Everything alright? You're Neville aren't you? The one who lost his frog on the train?" Harry asked with a whisper.

Neville looked up at the voice and smiled shyly at Harry. "Erm... yes, I'm Neville, that's right...I was looking for my toad, Trevor." he stuttered awkwardly, shooting a glance to his professor. It wouldn't be good to be caught talking when the lesson had started. "You're Harry Potter..." he whispered back, slightly awed.

"Hope you've found him," Harry answered kindly, as his eyes kept changing from Neville to the professor, as a way to keep track of him, to see whether or not they'd get caught talking after the lesson had began. As Neville seemed slightly surprised Harry was in fact, the Harry Potter, the boy simply nodded, "Yes," he said, and then held up his bangs, showing his scar, "I am..."

"Yes!" Neville nodded eagerly, remembering how happy he was to find his little pet. It was the closest thing he had to a friend so far and very important to him.
He leaned forward slightly to gaze at the scar on the other boy's head. There is was, the famous lightning bolt. "Wow...". Noticing that he was staring, Neville quickly averted his eyes. "Sorry, I just heard so much about you." he said softly.

"I know..." he replied strangely softly, "Even I've heard a lot about me," he added, slowly, as he looked at the floor. It was strange hearing that so many people knew who he was, knew what he went through, knew more about him than himself. It was sorta infuriating, and while others perhaps would enjoy it, Harry didn't. "Glad you found your toad though," he then sang, a bit more happily. He was truly glad for the boy.

Neville smiled slightly. At first he had feared that the famous Harry Potter might not want anything to do with someone as boring as himself, but so far the other boy seemed to be really nice and friendly. "Thank you Harry, for talking to me, I mean. I feel much better now." he said honestly.
"Although, I still think this professor looks quite intimidating." Neville whispered the last bit, so said teacher would not hear it.

With a bounce in her step, Niraeya made it to class just as the professor spoke. She had been looking forward to the class since she woke up that morning. She recognised a few people like Artemis, Ember and Rowan and waved to them happily before taking a seat on a bench in the back so as not to block anyone with her height.

Catching sight of Harry talking to a rather nervous looking Gryffindor, Rowan smiled and gave a little wave at the boys, more to the one that Harry was talking to. Maybe he would be less nervous if he knew there were others that were kind, he wouldn't be so nervous. Her brown eyes saw Niraeya wave to her and she nodded with a smile and offered a small wave in return. Returning her attention back to Professor Carrow, she shook her head in answer to his question to all of them to show she didn't have any questions, herself. She was, however, excited for this class to begin.

Professor Carrow looked around, and decided to ignore, this once, the talking students. This was their first CoMC class, and although he knew he was intimidating most of them just by standing, he didn't want them to fear him just yet. "Very good, then we can begin," he said and then cracked his back, "Alright, who can tell me, what is a Magical creature?"
