Animal In You (Morgan)

Marvolo waited at the edge of the forest dressed in shorts, boots and a t-shirt and hoodie she began to pace as she waited for morgan having sent her an owl in the evening the previous day to meet her here.

Morgan made her way to the forest where Marvolo had instructed her to meet the night before. She wore jeans, sneakers, and her Ravenclaw hoodie and her hair in a low pony. She didn't know what she had in mind, but she was happy to meet her. As she approached, Morgan waved in greeting. "Marvolo, what's up?" she asked reaching her and giving her a hug in greeting, her now darker eyes smiling.

"Finally" she said with a laugh "Well you want to be an animagus lets start working on it I figured"

Morgan's eyes grew wide, "You mean it, Marvolo? You will help me?" Excitement filled her! Ever since Morgan had learned Sirius and so many others were animagi, she wanted to join them, to experience what they got to experience.

"Of course I'll help you" she said with a bit of a jump she had been waiting all night to do this "we have to go deep in the woods and you cant keep up with me in my wolf form so when I shift climb on my back" with that marvolo turned into the large wolf she was and crouched down a bit to make it easier for her to get on.

Morgan nodded her understanding. When Marvolo changed into the great black wolf, Morgan climbed on her back, linking her arms gently around the wolf's neck. "Ready," she whispered into her ear, and then readied herself to head into the forest.

She bounded off into the forest, careful not to jostle the girl on her back she ran through the darkness her long legs carrying her quickly, though the sun had just risen it did not reach the darkening trees and within moments they were in pitch blackness. She ran up hill digging her paws into the dirt to keep from falling, once they leveled out she picked up speed and without warning she jumped over a cavern there bodies hitting the ground hard but still running.

Diving into a black tunnel she leaned her body down as she slid on her haunches down a rock slide that was smoother then marble, they slid down the only thing keeping morgan from crashing into things was the wolf that kept her close.

Falling out at the bottom marvolo stood up and shoot out her fur then with her teeth she picked morgan off the ground and led the way through an underground hallway that took them into a clearing, lit by natural light you could still see the stone ceiling but the sound of the waterfall was so distracting, soft green grass was under foot and warm and cool water fell fro the water fall and cascaded into a pool at the base.

"Welcome to Slytherin's grotto" she said turning into a human.

Morgan held on tightly as she and the wolf tore quickly through the trees of the forest. She hid her face as the jumped the cavern and landing hard on the other side. She watched wide-eyes as she slid down slicked down and crashed at the bottom. Morgan shook her head to clear it from the fast ride and the small crash. Then she was lifted off the ground by the wolf and lead into a clearing that was stunning to behold. The wolf let her go and she took a moment or two to dust herself off. Thanks to the wolf's quick reflexes, neither of them had been hurt. Morgan looked around, taking in the beauty of the clearing. Welcome to Slytherin's Grotto she heard Marvolo say. Morgan turned to see her again in her human form. "It's beautiful," she said smiling. "Why did we have to come here?" she asked, looking around them.

"I come here when I need to figure things out...I figured it was the best place to go to help you learn to be an animagus" she said pulling off her hoodie "besides, its nice here you don't feel the cold even in the winter"

Taking off her boots she walked over to the water, gracefully she stepped onto a stone that stood out of the water and walked over to a larger one in the center and beckoned for her to come closer.

Morgan smiled at the thought of being someplace that was so peaceful and wonderful for something such as learning to be an animagus. She assumed it was going to be challenging, but she was willing do what she needed to in order to succeed. She watched Marvolo remove her hoodie and shoes and step out onto the stones in the water. When she motioned for her to come closer, Morgan followed suite by removing her hoodie and her sneakers and socks. She also took a moment to roll the bottoms of her jeans up to just below the knee. Carefully, Morgan stepped out onto the first rock and another and another until she was on a larger rock next to the one Marvolo was on in the middle of the water.

"Close your eyes" she instructed as she did it herself "an animagus knows balance within themselves they know who they are and knowing who you are and accepting balance is the only way the animal can come to live withint you"

"Allow yourself to let go examine all the pieces of yourself even the ones you do not like, take the good and bad and sort them, calm the storm in your mind and put everything away"

Morgan took a deep breath and closed her eyes as Marvolo instructed her to do. She listened calmly as Marvolo instructed her to find peace within herself.

Finding and accepting the good was easy enough, but the bad... The bad was another story. She had to let go... Morgan touched on the memories of her family: never good enough for them, never like them, a disappointment... If only they could see me now... Morgan let it go.... Next, the mess with Sirius. Morgan felt warm tears begin to fall down her cheeks as she let him go. Let what happened between them go. Her love for him stayed as it was a a good rather than a bad, but all the hard feelings she felt for him were gone...

For some time, Morgan went through herself and came to terms with things, let things go, and accepted what needed to be accepted. When she was at total peace and calm, she opened her eyes. She let out a large breath and smiled a tired smile at Marvolo. "It is done...." she said quietly.

"Good" she responded she felt herself at peace, turning she let herself fall into the water she sunk beneath the surface and let her body float not trying to swim at all. As morgan did the same she said her voice soft and distant as not to breake the spell "lose your self in the warmth see only darkness in your mind wait until the light comes to you when it does chase it until you see what it is..do not tell me what you see"

While Morgan floated in the water, she closed her eyes and felt the warmth of the water envelope her, cover he entire body. She breathed deep as she fell into the darkness of her mind. For a long time all she saw was darkness, but then very far in the distance, Morgan saw a pin-prick of light. Just as Marvolo instructed, Morgan chased it with her mind. Closer and closer she got as the light grew brighter and brighter in her mind. Suddenly, she saw movement in the light. As it came closer and grew clearer, Morgan made out a white animal.... A snow fox...

She didn't open her eyes, she didn't want to lose what she was seeing. "I see it...." Morgan murmured.

While she was still meditating Marvolo drew her wand and levitated her out of the water so she laid on the soft grass "Your going to open your eyes now" she said as she knelt next to her "your going to take out your wand and remaining at peace you will repeat the spells I speak to you, the first half of training is all spiritual once the ritual is complete we will move on to other things, I will be placing the spells on you as well so remain calm" she instructed

Morgan felt herself being raised out of the water and placed gently on the grass. She opened her eyes which were glassy and dark. Morgan took out her white ask wand and waited for further instructions. Her mind tried to fight, but Morgan was experienced in meditation, so calming herself and staying in control was not as difficult as it might have been.

Holding her wand over her friend she gave her an encouraging smile, placing a hand on the other girl's heard she moved her wand in slow circular motions over her body.

"Ibi vivat....anima mea....animalium...intra me sinas...fieri eius animalis....salvum me fac" She began to speak the spells calmly she could feel her energy pouring from her and into the other girl. She repeated the spells over and over turning them into a sort of chant.

Morgan heard Marvolo's words and gradually began to repeat them as she did, mimicking her as she was instructed to do. Gradually, Morgan began to feel a warmth spreading across her entire body. Energy tranfser... she thought to herself, still remaining completely at peace and calm. Anyone not experienced with the power of meditation would have surely panicked at this point. Feeling energy transfer isn't something you are just used to when it happens. Morgan had felt it once or twice before, so it wasn't a total shock to her.

As the ritual came to a close she lowered her wand and wiped the sweat from her brow "Now this is more physical but still it requires a sound mind and soul you need to remain calm and visualize yourself turning int the animal you saw the way you see me turn into a wolf see the animal and see yourself change to the point where you can feel your bones crack and your skin stretch your hair grow and your whole body change but dont just think like a girl think like an animal"

Morgan lowered her wand and closed her eyes. The fox was still there in her mind's eye, and slowly Morgan began to see herself becoming the fox. The first sensation she was aware of was her bones shrinking, some felt as if they were breaking and reforming into a different shape while others just seemed to move position by twisting and bending. She could feel herself getting smaller and then her skin began to itch as her fur began to cover it. The last thing Morgan remembered was going nose to nose with the white fox, seeing it's golden yellow eyes, both of them closing their eyes, and a blinding light connecting their minds light a bridge from forehead to forehead....

On the outside, Morgan's shape began to change. She shrank and changed into what looked like a small dog. Gradually, snow white fur with a dark undercoat covered her small frame. Morgan rolled to her side, revealing two pointed ears, a black nose, and black pads on each of her four paws along with a white fluffy tail. A snow fox lay before Marvolo. Her eyes remained closed....

Marvolo held back to the urge to cheer with pride when morgan shifted the first time all the way through. reaching out a hand she stroked her fur then shifted into her wolf form and lay down allowing there noses to touch.

How do you feel? she asked using her mind, animagus can speak to some animals through there minds.

Morgan's golden eyes snapped opened as she heard Marvolo's wolf form speak to her through her mind. She felt the urge of the fox to run from the larger animal right next to it, but Morgan quickly eased the fox thinking friend to calm the animal side of her. I feel....small... Morgan thought, if she was in human form, she would be smiling. As a fox, her eyes showed her smile. I'm warm, and I smell..... her black nose twitched as she began to smell all the different smells around her. So, many smells! Her mind began to be overwhelmed, so she closed her eyes to focus her thoughts. So many smells... she thought. She tried to focus, and eventually the fox in her sorted them out and Morgan could tell all the scents she was smelling, including Marvolo. Suddenly, her one ear she wasn't laying on twitched as she heard something and her eyes opened slowly, focusing on Marvolo. I hear that fish.... In the water... Just like the smells, Morgan was hearing so many sounds around her and gradually, the fox organized the sounds so Morgan knew what she was hearing.

She didn't try to get up just yet. There were so many new sensations she needed to allow herself to get used to before trying that.

Marvolo laughed internally Your doing so well little snow fox she giggled I am so proud of you! you learnt so quickly and your adjusting better then most.

Morgan, as the fox, raised her head. As she looked around, the world looked so different from what she was used to. The colors were muted slightly, but the details were incredable. Everything is so different... she thought. She managed to get into a sitting position and looked down at her front paws. It's so strange... she thought with a laugh in her mind. A sudden feeling tickled her from behind and she looked quickly to see what it was. Ha ha ha.... It's my tail! Morgan rolled onto her back and the over onto her stomach, laying with all four feet on the ground. Was it like this for you? she asked, the question in her happy eyes as well as her mind.

Marvolo barked with laughter and nuzzled her stomach "yes it is usually surprising espeically when you realize you have a tail...though Morana she's a raven she had to be pushed off something to fly"
