Hello big brother (Atticus)

Idie sat in the great hall by herself as she usually did. She pushed her white blonde hair back and looked around. So much had changed yet everything looked the exact same. She took a deep breath and searched the crowded room for her big brother and sighed when she could not find him

Everything felt weird; there was this huge gap in time, he could feel it. And all around them they were forced to act as if nothing had changed. But in fact, everything was different in this time. Atticus was only grateful to have his sister to get through these difficult times and hopefully see prosperity soon.

He emerged at the Great Hall that morning, looking like hell. He hadn't been sleeping much as of late. He searched the crowd of long faces and landed upon his sister, such recognizable hair the pair of them had. She sat at the Slytherin table and so he sat there too, even though he's a Gryffindor. "Hey, how are you?" He felt it important to ask that question... he was always asking that question to her; things were just so unsure nowadays.

Idie looked up and smiled at Atticus, "Hello big brother. Im fine. As fine as I can be. What does that word even entitle anymore? Fine? Does it mean we will survive to the net day? Does it mean we are feeling ok and like nothing is different? Or does it mean something entirely different now with ths huge time gap that life has presented us with?" She asked ranting a bit before leaning into her brother, "I am ok. I will survive." She pushed his white hair out his eyes and smiled, "You need a haircut, Atticus Benton."

Atticus grabbed a piece of toast and shoved it in his mouth as she ranted over. He truly did listen, though. And he nodded along. "We will." He simply stated, providing a concealed-lip smile seeing as he still had toast in his mouth. His eyes trailed her hand as it ran a course along his hair. He didn't even realize it was distorting his eye's view. He looked at his sister, and smiled, "Anyone but you, after last time you gave me that haircut I looked dreadful." He chuckled.

"Hey I did a great job. You looked like that muggle singer everyone loved then hated... um... Bieber Justin... Justin Bieber... whatever his name is. You looked like him." She smiled and kissed her brothers cheek before biting into her cheese and mushroom omelet

He laughed, "Justin Bieber," he corrected her. Atticus was more familiar with muggle culture, but his sister did try to get familiar with it too. He smiled when she kissed him on the cheek; and he looked at her with yearning for another. "I seem to recall no one really liking that guy, though... I like my hair like this anyway... but thank's sis." He waited until she put down her spoon to grab it and take a bit outta that nice omelet she had in front of her himself.

Idie giggled and ruffled his hair before crawling into his lap and smiling, feeling content and safe, the way she always did with Atticus. "Hey! paws off my omelet, you omelet stealer." She said laughing softly and flicking his nose before nuzzling into his neck

Atticus chuckled but then cringed his neck of all the tickling he was getting from her. He grabbed hold of the back of her head to levy her off him, with a big smile on his face. "You see this feels normal with all the shit that's happening out there... so glad you're here." And behind all that sentimentality, Atticus slithered his arm in to reach for the spoon for some more omelet...

Idie smiled at him and nipped his neck before she got moved off his lap, "Im glad I have you too, big brother." She said big brother to remind herself that he was indeed her brother, and these feelings she was having for him were wrong. So very wrong. But they felt so right. She bit her lip and took a deep breath before smacking his hand to get him to drop her spoon, "No! Bad Atticus. Dont make me punish you."

Atticus recoiled as soon as she slapped his hand out of the spoon. "Ow!" He flinched and said that out of instinct. Though it didn't really hurt. He rolled his eyes, then smirked. "Oh yeah," he started poking the sides of her belly with one finger (he knew that was a tickle point for her), "and what exactly would that punishment entail of?" He smirked.

Idie squealed with laughter and smiled as she was tickled. She pushed him away and smiled before tackling him off the bench and straddling his waist, pinning him down, trying to keep him down, "This kind of punishment." She said with a smirk of her own and bit her lip softly

Atticus was wide-eyed at first when she pushed him down the bench and pinned him down. He struggled to get off her grasp-- she was remarkably strong-- but alas he couldn't. So he settled, with a sigh, and rested his head on the hard floor. There he had a view of his sister entirely, from the bottom, her beautiful hair hanging like drapes. Softly he said, "Doesn't seem like much of a punishment to me." He softly bit his lip. Smirking, "What else you got?"

Idie noticed her brother staring at her and blushed. She pushed her hair back just to have it hanging down again 5 seconds later. "Um... I could..." She said distracted a bit. She then got up and sat back down and finished her omelet as she thought of a punishment, her hair was all messy and her blouse and skirt was askew

Atticus waited, and she didn't reply. He was staring at her, and perhaps he was too obvious. And he made it a bit weird. For she got back up, playtime over, and ate her omelet. Atticus followed suit, sat down and looked at her. "Look who's the mess now." He ran a hand through her hair as though to fix it. "Nah even like that you're damn beautiful." He bit his lip immediately after saying that.

Just then, Mitchell walked over and spoke to Idie for a brief moment about a date with him and Idie was speechless. She looked from Mitchell to Atticus, unsure of what to say. If it wasn't bad enough that he didn't like this guy off-the-bat, he just had to come back around. And ask her out on a date?! Atticus was stunned. And then she asked him what she should do.... Atticus panicked. Well he couldn't just say no... he had no right to do that... but at the same time he didn't want going out with that guy. "Um-- uh..." he stuttered, mumbling. Then he finally decided: "If you want to..." and he looked down, not wanting to show his jealousy or anything.

Atticus looked up, surprised, when Idie said no to that boy. And he lifted his head and watched that boy go off, ashamed, and Atticus happy. But he couldn't exactly show that; it would look wrong. She leaned against him, and after that trial Atticus felt a little flustered. "Well, that's done with." He fake-chuckled to let out the tension.

Atticus took her in his arm, tightly, feeling the warmth of her and the great contact he loved from her. He smirked when he nuzzled into his neck. Then he looked at her, and with a leap of his heart, he leaned in and kissed her on the lips. When he pulled back, he looked away feeling a little embarrassed.
