I've Got Your Back (Chase)

Romulus turned the corner to the third floor when he saw a familer gryffindor ahead "Chase!" he called out jogging down the hall he caught up to her "Chase you didnt come for christmas" he said accusation in his tone. The smaller girl looked up at him and shrugged "Chase you were supposed to come, just because my brother's an asshole doesnt mean my family doesnt care about you" he chastised her earning himself a scowl "Rom you wouldn't get it" she grumbled "Yeah I do, you and ricky need to seriously stop the shit before i lock you two up together till you kiss and make up" he crossed his arms as she sat down on a bench in the darkened hall.

Shaking her head she said "not that easy mate" Rom narrowed his eyes then sat down next to her hugging her "Hey can i tell you something..and you cant tell anyone else" "Your back with Lara?" she said her eyes showing a sign of happiness "Ho..what!" Rom said incredously "woman how did you know!?" "I lost my hand not my eyes dicksplash" she said with a laugh. "Besides Chandra and i knew you would get back together"

Shaking his head he fussed with a strand of hair and said "listen...Malphas swore to me he'd kill her if he found out we are together.." at the mention of mal's name Chase looked up at her friend. She understood mal a bit now but hearing the threat her jaw hardened and her blood ran cold. "Can you help me keep an eye on her? and keep my secret?"

Nodding hard she said "Yes Romulus i'll help you protect that sweet girl.." she said "Does Lara understand what she's gotten herself into?" "Yes..she's stubborn as a bull wont leave me for all the gold in gringotts" he said "..And i cant keep leaving her behind i love her so so much Chase i just.." he trailed off holding his head in his hands "I just want this to be over...he said he'd hurt everyone...even mom and dad hell he'd even hurt you.."

Chase released a shrewd laugh at that "Hurt me!? he cant do worse then he already fucking has!" Rom looked up as she shook her head and his eyes widened "Gods be good...he didnt.." his eyes locked on her fake hand he froze. Following his gaze she flexed the metal fist "yeah..he did" she confirmed his fear as he slammed his fist down onto the bench with rage "FUCK! why does this have to happen!?Mal actually used to be a good guy!"

"He still is Rom..somewhere" she said shaking her head "He shows it rarely now" Romulus looked at her his eyes looking ten years older in the space of only a few moments. "Chase I'm so sorry..."

"Don't be sorry bro, i'll help you protect Lara bastard wont lay a finger on her not while i'm around. I'll do whatever it takes to keep that girl breathing" she said Romulus stood and wrapped her in a tight hug "Thank you so much...." he kissed the top of her head and she shrugged after returning his hug "What can i say? were family."
