Beneath a Broken Sword

Magnus walked quietly beside his brother as they walked down the streets og the small town. It was snowing but that was no surprise it was winter, Magnus smiled at the thought of winter to him it was like summer. Magnus loved the cold and dressed lightly in it even tho his mum would kill him if she ever knew. Turning to Malphas he gave a twisted little smile, "I am bored big brother." He said as he looked on.

Walking with his brother in stride Malphas inhaled deeply, as his boots left marks in the snow. Twirling his wand with his fingers, he smirked at his brother, "So am I. I think we need to 'feed'," he said in parseltongue and then cackled.

Magnus nodded at his brother with a twisted smile, "indeed," he said and then cocked his head to the side. "But who," he asked Malphas as they walked. That was the question wasn't it who would be there prey for the night.

"That is easy baby brother," he grinned then pointed at all the other people at the village, "Pick one," he told him with a malicious tone.

Light flooded onto the padded matt in the village square, competitors stood to the side as fights rang out all around. Wooden swords sounded like breaking bones and onlookers kept watch cheering for there favorite. Decibel knelt his eyes shut as he focused on the fight at hand, he wore black pants without shoes and a sleeveless shirt the winter air barely touching his skin. On his wrist was a braided rope misha had given him for good luck. Smiling at the bracelet he resumed his focus, "FINAL BOUT, WITH STEEL BLADES, CHARLES ANWORTH VERSUS LAST YEARS CHAMPION, DECIBEL ALLEN" decibel smirked as his name was called and stood, his blade in hand he walked onto the mat to face his oppenent. As they bowed to one and other the sweet sound of blades rang through the air, the games had begun.

Magnus looked around his eyes like a hawk searching for its next meal, "that one," the boy said as he raised his finger pointing at a boy about Malphases age walk onto the mat sword in hand. "He looks like a bit of fun," he told his brother as a grim smirk crossed his face and he pulled out his wand and dagger. "Care to do the honors brother," Magnus asked Malphas with the shadow of a smile.

The two competetitors fight didnt go long, once again Decibel defeated the other boy and stepped off the stage. Putting his boots on and a hoodie he sheathed his sword and slid the sheath onto his back. Walking from the center square he headed off towards the roads that lead to the homes.

"Oh that one," he hissed as he began to follow Decibel. Taking out his dagger and his wand, he offered his brother a twisted dark grin. A gust of wind came from Decibel's front, not strong enough to knock him off his feet however strong enough to make him stop walking. Aiming the dagger at his calf he hurled it with extreme precision.

Decibel stopped as the wind gusted towards him unnaturally strong, turning slightly he felt a sting as his leg was cut, looking down he realized he had been attacked but his movement had saved him from behind impaled. Turning all the way he raised his wand shooting a ball of light into the lamps along the dark road, a growl in his throat as he saw his attackers he drew his sword "Ooh Gaunt is teaching baby brother how to fight like a coward, love it" he sneered.

Magnus laughed and howled in the wind at the boys comment, "hardly I just wanted to have some fun." He said before sending his dagger flying through the air at the boy followed close by a quick secession of spells.

"Fight like a coward? Says the one who attacked a first year. I at least fought three of them. And won," he grinned as his brother began to attack the boy. Summoning his dagger back, he put up a shield in front of him and his brother so Decibel couldn't target any of them. He'd allow Magnus to have fun first, then himself. His baby brother needed this just as much or maybe more than Mal did.

"I'm not the one fucking said first year" deflecting the daggers with his blade he shielded himself. "Do you share your ickle princess with lil brother?" He said smirking. He sent a volley of spells at the boys.

"Nah, Emrys is mine. However, me and Magnus have been having fun with a ravenclaw. What's her name? Misha?" he cackled. Magnus' own set of spells hit most of those Decibel sent their way so Mal's shield was still up and about, "C'mon baby brother do your best," he smirked at his sibling.

Magnus smiled and coolly sidestepped the last of the boys spells, a wicked smile at the boy. "Your sword is no match for me and my brother, you are nothing compared to our might we are the sons for the Carrow house. What danger do you offer us." Magnus said as he launched another flurry of spells, as he worked his way to the boy. Magnus may have only been a first year but that doesn't mean a damn thing to him, he had been taught by some of the most feared wizards in the world.
