Coming Clean (Ian and Sydney)

Ian smiled and nodded slowly. "Very wise words. I value trust more than love any day. And trust is the base of evry relationship." he said seriously then kissed her lightly. "Thank you for telling me all this, I noticed already how tense Artemis and David were around you and one of them would have told me sooner or later. I'd rather hear it from you than from them."

"I figured that much. I practically had to beg them not to tell you." She covered the spot on her neck where Artemis had knifed her.

Ian nodded and to be honest he was quite glad that his friends had planned on telling him. Even if he wanted Sydney to tell him first, he felt relieved that David and Artemis wouldn't have kept it a secret from him. "They are good friends...I truely hope you can get along with them in the future." he said calmly, but with a smile.

"Maybe with David and Mio. But I dont know about Artemis. Shes just so violent." She moved her hand and showed him the spot where Artemis had cut her. "Note to self, dont piss her off."

Ian winced as he traced the wound with the tips of his fingers. "How did that happen?" he asked. He knew quite well that Artemis had quite a bad temper and wouldn't hesitate to pull her knife or claws on you if you pissed her off, but he couldn't think of a reason why she would do that to Sydney.

"When Artemis found out about Draco and David she got mad. You know she carries weapons on her? Like at all times?" She winced slightly when Ian traced the healing wound. "We got in a fight. Things were said, punches and hits were thrown. People were cut. By people, I mean me." She sat down again and patted the spot next to her for him to sit down. "Might as well get comfy. This is a long story."

Ian shook his head and sat down next to her. "Tell me the whole story please. Why would Artemis get mad when you kissed Malfoy?" he asked, confusion colouring his words.

"Because she was his. Even though he kissed me first. And then she threatened to tell you and I got mad and threatened her. Its all really complicated. Then David came in and put me in a choke hold. Then he found out I kissed Malfoy and punched me, broke my nose may I add." Sydney took a deep breath and sighed. "Its all really complicated."

Ian sighed and pinched the rbidge of his nose. "He hit you?" he asked incredulously. He knew that David could be very impulsive, but that he actually would hit a girl was quite shocking. "I really need to talk to him about that..." he muttered under his breath. To be honest, Ian was pretty much pissed off right now and that was a rare sight. Why couldn't he just be with his girlfriend without all this shit?

"No no no no no no no no no. Please dont say anything." She actually really wanted him to say something, to be mad. But he couldnt know that. "Im fine, baby. Really." She kissed him to try and drive the point home.

Ian shook his head. "I have to, Sydney. I'll talk to my friends and tell them that we are together now and that I need them to accept that." he told her. It was important for him that his friends supported him in this.

"I dont wanna get in between you and your friends." She bit her lip and looked away. "They hate me enough already. Dont give them another reason to hate me."

Ian sighed. "It's not about hate, Sydney. I need to know their side of the story, so far I only know what you told me. And I need them to know that I have been informed of everything and still want to be together with you." He brushed some of her blond hair out of her face and kissed her cheek. "Don't worry, it will be alright."

Sydney sighed and nodded her head, "Ok. But can I be there when you tell them?" Sydney wanted to see the look on their faces when they found out Ian was still with her.

Ian shook his head confused. He truely didn't see her problem. "Of course I trust you, Sydney. I told you, I did. But my friends need to know that too. So far they think you might cheat on me behind my back." he said. "I know it's not true, but as long as my friends don't know that as well, there will always be a tension, and I really don't need that."

Sydney nodded and kissed her boyfriend, "Ok. Jade." She said teasingly. She knew his friends called him that. She smiled and took his hand, "Lets go tell them then." She was excited to see their reactions.

Ian smiled and kissed her back, but he would have to stand his ground. "I am going to talk to them myself. As you said, especially David and Artemis aren't too happy with you right now and this talk will be hard enough. I'll come back to the commonroom and tell you how it went afterwards alright?" he said.

"Ok..." She was upset that he wasnt taking her with him. "Ill see you after. I love you." She kissed him one last time before making her way back to the castle. She turned around and waved before breaking into a run

Ian smiled at her, hoping that she wasn't too angry that he would talk to his friends alond, but it was necessary. He slowly walked back to the castle to send off letters to his mates.
