Scared (Sirius)

Marvolo dipped her toes in the icy lake, her dull eyes lifeless and far away, she looked out onto the water not noticing she was only in a t-shirt just a hand on her belly as she sung a old lullaby softly to herself.

Sirius slowly walked past the boulder in his way. He held the ring he had given to Marvolo on his right hand. A gripped it powerfully, nearly cracking it. Why did she reject his feelings? She was always so sure he loved another girl. Sirius was so sure he loved her he actually proposed. She just couldn't see that. He was happy to have actually found her. But he didn't approach. Not silently. She'd probably get scared. He couldn't do that. He looked at the floor, seeing a small branch. He cracked it on purpose, so Marvolo could hear him.

She sang to herself some more softly, as the stick cracked she jumped violently wrenching the wound, with a whimper she turned her head and saw him "Sirius" she said her voice was husky from crying.

Sirius tilted his head to his side, and rubbed his temple. He showed her the ring, and sighed. But went to her as soon as his body allowed him to do so. "Why..." He asked, with a silent tone, looking down. He was worried about her whimper. She could've gotten hurt. But first, he needed to know why she gave the ring to Morgan.

"She deserves you" she said dully "She should be the one"

Sirius put the ring on his pocket again, and rubbed his face. He turned his back on Marvolo, and narrowed his eyes. "Do you love me?" He asked.

"With all my heart and soul..I love you" she said

Sirius turned back to her, and gently put his hands on her arms. "Why do you keep pushing me away? It looks like you want me to be with Morgan. While my true wish is to be with you. Understand that I love you as well. More than what you think!" He said, not moving. Leaving Marvolo uncomfortable was something he wanted to dread.

She listened to his words, they were so honest, closing her eyes for a moment she steadied herself, opening them she said "i..i guess i always assumed you wanted her in the end...."

Sirius shook his head, not in disappointment, but in tiredness. Marvolo was too friendly to a girl who could still hold feelings for Sirius. She couldn't do that. Especially in the way she did it. Handing him over. It saddened him. It looked like she simply didn't want him at all. "Woman, I want to marry you. I want you to be the mother of my kids. Be yours forever. Yes we fight. And I do stupid things. But you're more exciting than Morgan. You and I have chemistry. We've gone through so much already, and you're still with me. And I'm still with you." He said, caressing her face, with his thumb.

Light started to return to her eyes as he spoke "I want to be yours forever, I've never wanted anything more"

Sirius's eyes twinkled with happiness. "Why didn't you tell me so? I've wanted to be with you for such a long time. When I was with Morgan, I still thought of you. When I saw you, I remembered your lips, and I wanted to kiss them," Sirius leaned closer to Marvolo and gave her a small peck on the lips, "just like that." He said with a smile.

"Because morgan is my friend and I loved you even then...I wanted you both happy..thats all I wanted" she said "my happiness is inconsequential"

Sirius put his hands on Marvolo's cheeks slowly, and put her forehead against his. He looked into her eyes, making sure she could only look at him. "It is not. Not for me anyway. Others might not care about it, but I do. I just want you to be happy as well. If it was without me, so be it. But now that I have you, I can't let you go."

She smiled at him happily...sadly "then never let me go"

"Promise. I'll never let you go!" Sirius kissed her slowly, and pulled her to him. She was hurt, so gripping her tightly was still not in the picture. His kiss was soft, and simple. Hopefully, nothing would come over Sirius now that the two of them were alone. He was actually afraid that Marvolo was scared of being alone with him.

She kissed him happily before touching her stomach "I wanted it..the baby.."

Sirius put his hand on top of Marvolo's. He could only remember how he didn't even think twice. And he enjoyed seeing someone bow down. With a bla- "I'm...sorry..." he apologized again, interrupting his thoughts. "I didn't want to do that...I wanted a child with you too..." He said, slowly letting her go. "I still want a child with you. But I can't do it Mar...not now. What If I hurt you again?" He asked, with a worried tone.

She smiled at him faint sadness in her eyes "I will heal and when we figure out whats wrong we will fix you and get revenge....im a big girl sirius i can take care of myself"

Sirius sighed, and rubbed his arm, slowly taking the ring of his pocket. "What if we're not expecting it? How can you even get used to being alone around me? You never know when I suddenly get the need to hurt you. I love you, but..." He went quiet, and extended his arm. "Do you still want this?" He asked, putting up a small smile.

She took the ring and slipped it onto her finger "I do want it" she said "and I want you even though its dangerous"

Sirius pulled Marvolo into an embrace, and kissed her neck softly. "We can have another baby. Don't worry. You're fantastic to be able to forgive me." He said, looking into her eyes, and kissing her lips.

"You did nothing wrong" she said hugging him in return

Sirius decided to leave the conversation there. If they started talking about it, they'd end up fighting again. He hugged her, and just shrugged of the feeling of wanting to talk about it. "I should go back in...Before the classes start over again, I'm gonna be away for a bit. So, I better make sure I have everything in place." He said, turning to leave.

"Sirius" she said as he walked away "Thank you..for making me yours"
