What has gotten into you? (Sirius)

James stormed into the great hall. No professors were around. And only some people were still lunching. Others had probably left already. But the person James wanted to talk to was still there. And now, unsurprisingly, in the company of Slytherins. James approached Sirius, and placed his hand on his shoulder, extremely hard. "What has gotten into you?"

Sirius was having a late lunch with some slytherins who had asked him about certain spells. Mostly the unforgivable curses. Sirius had learned about all of them, and was slowly teaching the kids about what each of them meant. But he had to get interrupted. A certain dumbass had to get in the way. Sirius looked back at his former best friend with a rather annoyed look in his face. "What the fuck do you want? Go fuck Lily or something..." Sirius said, turning back to the Slytherins.

James placed his hand on his head, covering his eyes. Who was this guy? And what had he done to the person he considered his brother. "Look Sirius, I'm not here to play games, or be childish. What has happened to you? Why are you like this?" James got no response, so he pulled Sirius by his shoulder, out of his seat.

Sirius heard James loud and clear, but he didn't care to answer. He simply remained on his seat, looking at the slytherins. That was until James pulled him out of his comfort. Here we go. As Sirius turned around, his fist came flying up to James's face. As he saw his supposed best friend hit the wall, he couldn't help but yell. "DON'T TOUCHE ME!!! I'LL KILL YOU!" The Slytherins backed off. Something was about to happen.

Morgan was passing by the Great Hall in her Ravenclaw robe, heading for the library. She had skipped lunch, as she hadn't had much of an appitite since that day. The scrapes on her arm were healing, as was the bruise on her cheek. However, thanks to her robe, only the darkening across her cheekbone was visable. As she walked passed the main doors, she heard to familiar voices raised inside. She went in and froze in shock at what she saw: Sirius and James going at each other. She spotted the fight just as Sirius landed a punch on his best friend and shouted those hateful words at him. Morgan hugged her books tight to her chest, tears brimming in her eyes. She wanted to turn and leave, but she couldn't move. Here grey-blue eyes locked on the unfolding scene before her. What has happened to him? Where is the Sirius I know and love?

James felt something hit him right in his forehead. He hit the back of his head on the wall, and became a bit dazed. Once he was normal, he could hear the hateful words Sirius said towards him. Looking over at Morgan, he knew she was thinking the same as him. But James couldn't let Sirius get away with that. As the Slytherins ran to their sides, James punched Sirius into the table. He saw Sirius climbing the table, and signaling for him to join up. James climbed up, and quickly speared Sirius down. Laying on the table, James couldn't help but at least land a punch on his best friend's face.

Luna walks in with fresher cuts and bruises on her face. Her mark glowing, she pulls up her hood and sees Morgan nearly crying. She looks around and hears people mutter about Sirius starting it so she shakes her at him and walks to Morgan pulling her into her arms. She looks into her eyes not saying anything as her eyes said it all. She hugs her tightly and looks at the fight not caring that her mark burned and darkened her eyes. She couldn't protect him. It was wrong to protect the one who started it all. She knew of the consequences but she didn't care. Her friend needed her.

Sirius had gotten a pretty nice shot, but James was usually more keen when it came to fist fights. He'd usually help Sirius, but now, Sirius was fighting him. A big mess. As he toke another punch, James finally missed one, and hit the table. Sirius took the opportunity and kicked him off of him. Once James was pushed off, Sirius tackled him, out of the table, into the ground. James took the most damage, as Sirius got up and took his wand off. He casted depulso at several tables, so he and James could duel with enough space. "Get Up Asshole. Now I'm gonna kill you for real..."

Morgan felt arms encircle her, she pried her eyes away and looked into the crystal blue eyes of Luna. There were no words for what she was feeling. All the pain and sorrow Morgan was feeling shown brightly in her eyes. She closed them briefly and rested her head against Luna. She turned her head and opened her eyes. Morgan couldn't help but watch as James and Sirius fought.

James fell definitely hard on the ground. At least, he didn't hit his head. He got up as Sirius yelled for him to do so. Taking out his wand, James quickly pointed it at Sirius. "You're insane. I gotta knock some sense into you. Furnunculus!" James moved his wand, as the curse was thrown at Sirius.

Sirius rotated his wand rather quickly. "Protego!" The shield appeared in front of him, and turned James's spell into thin air. "You? Knock some sense into me? You make me laugh..." Sirius said, in a less on guard position. "Stupefy." Sirius said, with a rather twisted grin stamped on his face.

James was hit by the small attack, and thrown against the wall, far behind him, As he slowly got up, he looked around. Morgan and Luna were next to him. He knew Morgan well, and for her to have stopped dating Sirius, something really bad happened. And James could imagine what. He got up, and looked at Sirius. "You depraved Sociopath. I can bet you're already doing that Gaunt bitch. Expulso!"

Sirius held out again a protego. It was mostly working, but this Expulso was more enraged than James's other spells. The protective shield broke and Sirius fell flat on the floor. While there, he clenched his fists, and grabbed his wand, after letting it fall. He got up, with his padfoot eyes burning with anger. "NEVER CALL MY GIRL THAT!!! CRUCIO!" Sirius had never used an unforgivable curse before. But with these dark times arriving, and this dark new Sirius here, he had to get used to it. No matter how repugnant it sounded.

Morgan's grey-blue eyes widened when she heard Sirius' comments about the only Gaunt girl he could be talking about: Marvolo. As if she couldn't break anymore. The last of what remained of her heart shatters. She clenched her jaw as hot, angry tears ran down her cheeks, and she began to tremble in Luna's arms. "Stop it!" she yelled as Sirius let the torture curse fly towards his friends. She broke free from Luna's arms and took a step towards them, but not further. This wasn't her fight... "Sirius! Sirius, stop it!" she cried at the boy who was no longer hers.

James awed as Sirius did the unthinkable. He was too surprised to even try to put up a fight. The curse hit him, and it truly hurt. He had been told that the cruciatos curse only hurt, when the caster truly wanted it too. That meant Sirius wanted to hurt James. And badly. James hovered above the ground, and fell in front of Morgan. "I...Wa-..." James couldn't talk, and simply rested his head on the ground, as his wand fell next to his arm.

Sirius huffed a bit. He had just done what he had thought he'd never do. But then again, he had most likely won. His friend was grounded. Close to the person he wished was at his side. Sirius was cheered by many Slytherins, as he put the tables back in place. "Hey Luna! Come...NOW!!!" Sirius yelled. He knew what kind of loyalty she had for him, and she wasn't fulfilling her duty. Plus, now Luna knew half of what Sirius was capable off. She'd better comply.

Luna watched and sighs as Sirius tells her to come to him. She looks at James and Morgan. "I'm sorry...I have to go to him. If I do not, I will get beaten again." As she says this, her face shows and the black and blue bruises stand out. She hides her face again and rushes to Sirius looking at the floor. "Hello Mister Black." She mutters looking up at his angered face with her bruised one.

Sirius smirked as Luna did what he wished. Mr. Black? She seems to know when to call me these things. He pulled Luna close, and showed her to the Slytherins. "None of you hurt this one until I say so!!! Understood?" Several Slytherins nodded and others simply gulped. Sirius was starting to grow stronger in influence. Why did he even left his home. Now that he was slightly understanding Walburga.

Moran closed her eyes, restraining herself from saying what her broken heart was crying to say. Luna went to him, and she understood why. When she opened them again, she saw James on the ground, almost at her feet. She knelt beside him and rested her hand on his forehead. "How could you?" she said angrily to Sirius, looking up at him with icey eyes. "How could you, Sirius...." she repeated. Morgan took out a handkerchief from her pocket and dabbed the sweat off of James' face. Then her white ash wand, adorned with a vine carving, and cast a healing spell over her friend. She noticed her tears were falling on James' chest and she wiped them from her cheeks, quickly.

Sirius ignored Morgan mostly. He didn't want to be confronted. He'd actually end up hurting someone else, and he just couldn't do that. "Black. Black. Black." He heard the Slytherins yell. "Be glad I didn't kill him...princess!" He talked loudly at Morgan.

James wasn't truly hurt. But his back had taken quite a beating. He was glad Morgan helped him. It took a while, and his back cracked, but he was able to feel normal, although very sore. He lifted his hand, so Morgan would listen to his words. "Don't cry...not for that bastard. He doesn't deserve your tears." James tried to get up, but quickly fell back down. "Help me up please Morgan. So we can leave, since the atmosphere isn't the best."

Luna feels herself get pulled close to him and buries herself in his chest almost crying. She didn't expect him to hold her but it still comforted her. She felt scared and it didn't help when she heard what he said to the Slytherins. She hears Morgan and her heart breaks a little. She wanted to comfort her best friend but couldn't as she was sworn to protect, obey and be loyal to the Black Family.

Morgan just gared at Sirius, daggers in her eyes. When James spoke to her, she tried to smile, but only managed a small twitch that could have turned into a smile. She nodded both to his statement to not cry for Sirius and to help him up. Morgan looped James' arm around her neck and helped him up. "How could he do this?" she said to no one, looking over her shoulder at Sirius and Luna. Then she looked up at James, "Where should we go?" she asked quietly.

James slowly got up, with Morgan's assistance. He wasn't too sure of what to do, but did have a little idea. "We should go to the hospital wing. We never know if the spell did everything right." James commented, looking back at the same time Morgan did. "It's not him anymore..." He said, looking in front again. He started to walk slowly, to give Morgan time to be able to help.

Morgan did her best to support James. She tried to take in what James said about Sirius, but she couldn't. She just couldn't... As they exited the Great Hall, Morgan helped James to the Hospital Wing.
