Questions & Answers (Sirius)

Cian waited in the morning mist looking out over the grounds from the Viaduct Courtyard. He was waiting for Sirius, hoping he got the owl he had sent him after they had returned and rested a bit from the first task. Gently, he massaged the three nearly healed wounds at his shoulder and chest. He missed his music. Being in a sling prevented him from playing his violin, and music could really help him now. It helped him think, which he was trying to do with some success.

Cian placed his hand on a book he had brought with him that was resting on the Viaduct guard. He couldn't shake that something was up with that mark on Sirius' chest that he saw following the Gryffindor's completion of the first task. Something just wasn't right.....

Sirius ran through the courtyard. He was feeling extremely happy. He just wasn't sure what that happiness was all about. Marvolo? Being alive? In any way, he was glad the first task was over, and that everyone was alright. Deep down, he was still like that. As he passed by, he spotted Cian. His relationship with the kid wasn't the best. But it wasn't the worst either. "Cian. How are you feeling? Too hurt after the task?" He felt like asking. Being bored was never fun.

Cian looked up and over his shoulder as Sirius spoke to him. He smiled his crooked smile and said, "So glad you remembered me, this time. I'm on the mend. Guess the healers couldn't heal me back to top notch like you and Luna. But, they did their best." He shrugged and turned, leaning against the guard. "Sirius, would you mind if I asked you a few questions? I noticed something in the champion's tent after the first task, and well, I'm curious," he asked, carefully watching the Gryffindor for reactions. His brown eyes were hard, but sincere about what he was asking. Cian knew this was a risk, as Sirius and he didn't have the best track record, but sometimes risks are just what need to be taken.

Sirius smirked, at the sound of Cian's words. He had decided to be a bit nice to the kid, at least until the end of the tournament. But he was still making him pay, "Yeah, they did a good job on me. Then again, I'm sure Marvolo would've killed them if they didn't." He joked, but turned serious once Cian spoke again. "Oh? What sparked your curiousness then, little Cian," he questioned, acting less violent towards the younger boy. He wasn't stupid. Cian had seen how Luna cared for him. He'd surely understand they'd help each other and seek out Kestrel. Sirius couldn't let them get any advantage.

Cian made a motion to his chest, his brown eyes hard, "Your chest. You're marked. How did that happen?" He let Sirius call him what he did as names didn't bother him. He wasn't always the small, gentleman he was generally seen as. But he preferred to be seen that way. Gave him a slight advantage in some things. However, this wasn't about gaining advantages. This was simply clarification for what he figured he already knew...

Sirius chuckled, as Cian questioned him. Of course Sirius was waiting for that to happen, "It's a tattoo. Have you never heard of it? It's quite popular these days." Sirius joked, and threw the little lie into the air. Surprisingly they were alone. No one else was there. Most were going to lunch. Or simply do something else. Sirius took of his shirt, as his mark moved slightly. "It's an interactive tattoo." He grinned.

Cian raised and eyebrow at Sirius' answer to his question, and was glad when he didn't need to call him on his little cover-up. He knew that there was more to it than what Sirius was letting on, and his thoughts were confirmed when his removed his shirt to show Cian the mark. Cian's face hardened when he saw it, and drew a slow deep breath. He raised his brown eyes to Sirius', "And what interactions does your mark allow for?"

Sirius chuckled, but then refrained to a simple grin, before answering Cian's question, "Funny little Cian." Sirius's eyes turned into his brighter, and at the same time darker, padfoot eyes. "It allows me to do a lot." His mark slowly moved, as Sirius's smirk widened. That mark was his symbol. If he pressed it with his wand, Lucius and Regulus would feel their mark burn. Sirius needed something, and they knew where to find him. It was perfect for him. He unsheathed his wand, and pressed it against the mark. The marks arms slithered quickly, as Sirius's muscles pumped. He quickly took his wand of the mark, and sheathed it. His eyes turned blue as his smirk vanished. "See that?"

Cian watched, brown eyes hard and slightly darker, as Sirius touched his mark and it moved slightly. He closed his eyes and mooved his head slightly to the left, like a shake that he stopped in mid-movement. When he opened them again, they were downcast. "I saw it," Cian said quietly. He worded what he said next very carefully, "And, who marked you and your followers, Sirius?" Cian had read about marks such as these. They, more often than not, were used for a group, not just one. He also knew about marks such as these.... From personal experience....

Sirius picked up his shirt, as he heard Cian. As the shirt went down his torso, he smiled, as such question was only be given a simple answer. "Who? The leader...of The Divided." Sirius said, encrypting the message. In a way, he did say he was the one that marked himself, Regulus, Lucius and Kronos. But Cian would surely not understand.

"The Divided.... Not heard of that Dark group," Cian said. He reched across his chest and slung arm, picking up his Dark Arts book from the guard wall. As he looked at the cover her asked, "Are you sure you know what you're doing?" He kept his face low, and raised his darkened, hard, cold eyes to Sirius. "Magic such as this shouldn't be messed with or taken lightly," he added. Cian wasn't looking for a confrontation. He was simply trying to look out for someone who he didn't see as a truely Dark Wizard, just one who has lost his way. Someone who had others who cared for and about him, and who he cared for and about in return. Cian didn't want to see Sirius get swallowed up by the darkness.

Sirius chuckled, as Cian mentioned he had no idea who The Divided were. "The Divided are a group of dark wizards. They are lead by a man...named padfoot." He continued his little puzzling messages. "Little Cian, I'm no normal wizard. Magic such as THIS..." He moved his head down, pointing at his chest, "...is childs play!" Sirius shrugged, with his arms extended. That mark had a darker color than its original incarnation. It simple symbolized the black dog that Sirius really was.

It was worse than Cian suspected. There was already talk of a Dark Wizard on the rise, and here was the beginning of another dark group. This time, when Sirius referred to him as 'Little Cian,' he finally had enough. "Please, don't call me that. I know you're older, but still... And your mark, the magic that made it... It might seem like child's play, but it's not to be taken lightly. Believe me, Sirius. I know, I've been there," Cian said not taking his eyes off him. When he looked away, he added, "No two wizards or witches are the same, and non are ordinary. Are you sure this is what you want? Think of those you care about, who care about you. Is this the path they would pick for you, too?" Cian knew Sirius was with Marvolo, a fellow dark magic user, but he had also seen the love Sirius had for Morgan. Surely some of that was still there, inside him somewhere...

"What I want? What I care about, and care for me back?" Sirius chuckled, as he looked back. Still no one around. "It almost seems as you care about me little Cian." He used the name. "I want to do what I feel like doing. And those who do love me are by my side. My family. Marvolo. The Divided. They are all by my side. Anyone that has guts can be at my side." Sirius said, one last time. He was letting Cian know, his door was open if Cian ever wanted to become one with darkness. "It's been a fun talk. I trust I'll see you at the ball." Sirius said. And with that, he soon departed.

Cian sighed at hearing Sirius' explanation of everything. So, he doesn't feel for Morgan anymore. Pity... Cian couldn't believe that Sirius' feelings for that wonderful girl were really gone. He had hope that one day, he would find his way back to her. He heard the cryptic offer Sirius gave him to join him. Sirius is the leader of The Divided... "Yeah, see you at the ball..." he said. As he watched Sirius walk away, Cian slammed his Dark Arts book on the guard wall, "I'm already there, Sirius. I'm already marked as you are..." he murmured to himself. If Sirius heard him, then he heard him. At this point, he didn't really care.
