Forbidden fruit tastes the best (Closed)

Lexa was proud of herself yet again. It was not easy to sneak out somewhere without her dad knowing every single step she made. But it was even harder to cross into a magical World. The forbidden fruit she was gifted to see yet cursed never to use. So many times she wished she could stop her family and friends hurting people like she was, that they could see all the amazing creatures and moving things in the streets of magical Czechia. But they couldn't. And even if they did, they would probably try to destroy it. And that's why she could never tell them. Even if dad loved her enough not to kill her, he would surely use her for even bigger masacre. Sneaking behind the corner, she watched the street and it's life, looking completely out of place and unaware how dangerous this place can get.

Corvinus walked through the square running some errands he went about his day. He had to gather potion ingredients and find out when his next mission from the minister-lisbeth. Would be. 

Lost in though he almost didn't notice the small frame of a girl peaking out at the square in wonder. "Excuse me...but are you lost?"

Lexa did this many times over and frankly did not expect anyone to notice her. But then again, because nobody noticed her, she was being more bold and arrogant and as she now realized, it was probably just a matter of time. Now she found herself staring at strange man, looking most likely terrified. "Oh... no... I'm just... I'm just... uhm... observing," she said finally, the most stupid thing that came to her mind.

"Observing?" he said with a grin "well i shouldnt let a pretty girl like yourself observe alone, may i show you around?"

Lexa didn't know what she expected, but it definitely wasn't this. "Oh... I don't really... I don't think that's a good idea," she said shyly, fixing her skirt before clinging onto her laptop bag. "I dont really belong here..."

Corvinus chuckled at her nerves "Well your definitly not a muggle, because you can see this place. so let me guess, your muggleborn" he grinned down at her "Relax, some people have slipped through the cracks and never went to school. but your like me, like all of us. you do belong here."

Lexa went red as she looked down as if ashamed of who she was. "I shouldn't be here," she said finally as she bit her lip. She should leave now. Just go home and pretend this never happened, probably never come back again. But this mysterious place was too tempting to leave behind. "Okay, let's go," she said finally, excitement clear in her eyes.

He chuckled and for a moment, forgot about the heavy thoughts that had been held up in his mind. Offering her his arm he said "My name is Corvinus Valkyrie, and yours?"

"Alexandra Valeska," she introduced herself, hoping nobody here knew one of the most famous hunter names. "It's nice to meet you," she added, accepting his arm while still clinging onto her laptop with the other one. "So, where are you taking me?" she asked curiously. She just let stranger to walk her around a place she did not know about. Was she mad?

Corvin nodded "Valeska, i feel like i know that name" he let out a breathy laugh "probably a common name. He led the way down to gregoravitch's and smiled at her conspiratorialy as they turned the corner towards the shop, "Gregoravitch's wand shop my dear Alexandra, every witch needs a wand"

Lexa's heartg sank a little as he mentioned the name seems familiar. "Yeah, it's quite common," she said, trying to make it sound as real as possible before her eyes widened at his statement. A wand? A witch? "But... I... I don't even know how to use it... and I have no money with me," she pointed out, mildly shocked at the idea. Having her own wand? She read about them. How every witch and wizard have their own, how they can do so much more, than random accidents or simple ball of light under the blanket. She wished for one. She just never thought she would have one.

"Every witch or wizard has a vault in gringotts our bank. When you were born your name appaeared in a book held by our government, a small account was made for you at the bank for school supplies, every student gets a stipend to get started." he grinned "your gold is in the bank"

"But I never gpt any school invitation. In fact I didn't know there is a school until about a year ago," Lexa pointed out. If they knew about her, why nobody contacted her? Why nobody helped her? She knew her dad would never agree to this, but it would be so much easier growing up, having someone to talk to, to call for help.

His expression darkened as he steered her towards the bank to collect some gold "There was a war, we lost alot of the muggle born records and the book was locked away..muggleborns in this world are rare now."

"Oh," she replied a little sad. She felt angry that she had been robbed of her chance, but in the same time, she felt childish. She was not the only one and also, people who actually were in war probably suffered much more. "I am sorry if my next question will offend you, but have you lost someone... in that war?" She asked as the curiosity got the best of her again.

He looked down at his feet his eyes darkening with grief "..yes..my fiance..Briana was killed."

"I'm sorry," Lexa replied. "I've never really had anyone that close... like a boyfriend or something... so I am probably not in position to understand... or ask... but you have it in your eyes and I... I am talking way too much and being rude right now," she pointed out mumbling as they stood in front of a huge building. "Wow! This looks... old... and huge!" she exclaimed when she got aware of her surroundings.

Her exclamations of surprise and awe pushed him out of his darkness a bit and he chuckled "come on you havent seen anything yet" he led her into the bank as letter flew overhead and goblins counted and weighed gold. The bank was alive thriving as he led her to a goblin scratching away in a ledger, "Miss Valeska would like to make a withdraw" he declared and the goblin eyed him sereptisouly. Pulling out a large book he flipped through the pages till he found the girl's name. Hnding her a key he directoed a goblin to take them below.

Lexa could say, that this was first time in her life somebody managed to actually shut her and her stupid remarks up. "Wow," she managed to say only on their way to her vault. "This is kind of creepy, isn't it?" she pointed out after a little bit as the strange little creature with pitch black, scary eyes led them towards one of the thousands doors. It clicked the key in, opening it and Lexa could see a small pile of gold there. "That's mine?" she asked in awe.

"its all yours" he accepted a small pouch from the goblin escorting them and swept a handful of gold into it then handed it to lexa. "though its worthless in the muggle world so use it only in the magic world"

"Muggle World?" she asked curiously, while examining the gold. She did not know what value it had, but somehow she was quite sure she never held that much money in her hands ever. Closing the pouch, she put it in her laptop bag, by the most precious thing she owned in the world. "You are strange people, with strange words and even stranger world," she pointed out.

He chuckled at her confusion "Muggle means non-magic people" he led her from the depths of the bank back out into the sun. "Ready to buy a wand?"

Lexa nodded, making mental notes in her head. When this day started, she certainly did not expect it to go this way. "If I said no, would you believe me?" she asked for no real reason. She needed to get herself together and start talking like a person of her actual intellect. No matter where she was right now or how unreal it seemed. Or how attractive her tour guide was for that matter. It's not like she would really know how the whole attractive thing works, right?

"Come on" he grinned leading her back towards the shop filled with wands and other magical instruments,. he led her inside and called for Mister Gregoravitch, the man appeared holding a tape measure and without speaking began to measure Lexa, taking her bag from her as he measured every inch.

Lexa felt even clumsier as they stepped in and the old man started to measure her without any kind of at least hello. "Uhm, okay," she mumbled, confused as he apparently seemed to be lost in his work. "It is rare to see muggleborns stepping into this place. I suppose it is somehow connected to you, mister Valkyrie?" the man finaly asked her companion. "You are lucky to be friend with one of the powerful ones, girl. I can hardly see just anyone bringing you in without risking their head," the old man half-whispered, causing Lexa to shoot Corvinus half curious, half terrified look. 

"Very well, let's try couple of them," the old man said, disappearing in the back, he came back with about five long boxes of different dark colors. Taking out the first one, in pitch black, he opened it. Lexa felt shivers as she touched the wand, for the first time in her life. "Well, don't just stand there, wave it!" he ordered and Lexa, not expecting him to speak so harsh, jumped slightly and did just that, causing window to break. "I'd say this one is not the one. Put it back," he said and Lexa gladly did.

Another two wands went with similar results. One made a cabinet fall, the other one practicaly set the building on fire. Lexa felt like giving up. If this was what it meant having a wand, she will be quite okay with harmless accidents without it. But then the man convinced her to open the fourth box, in dark purple color with black velvet inside. She took the want out, it was black as well, slightly curved, with flower ornaments. She loved this one instantly and after touching it, shivers went down her spine again, but this time it was the wand, calling to her. 

"Ash, 13 inches, unicorn. Very interresting combination, if I may say. Not many of my customers get a wand made of unicorn hair. You carry light in your heart. Make sure you keep it that way," the man told her, as if just to confuse her even more. "So, this is mine?" she finally asked, looking at both men in the room, confused and overhelmed.
