Tired (Closed)

Astoria has taken a detour down the third floor corridor, and it was hardly because it was faster that way. She just wanted to get out of the noise that was almost overwhelming in the massive corridor. After a few moments of walking, she paused and sat down on a stone bench against the wall, leaning back just to give her the chance to be calm before class.

Lilith had a very bad day. She was annoyed by her own games, tired of being looked at as useless little girl, she no longer was. She was looking for trouble. She wanted to prove herself that she is still the perfect assassin she so hard trained to be. And as if by destiny, she just met the perfect target. "Trying to escape loud passageways?" she asked almost kindly, when she reached Astoria.

Hannibal knew she was close, he had been terrorizing the younger greengrass for weeks and it was one of his favorite past times. After not seeing her in the main passages he searched two of the three usual detours slytherin's use and smirked when from a distance he spotted the girl in question. 

"Trying to escape loud hallways?" he heard and couldn't help but chuckle "Hardly" he said his thick voice filling the small space, "more like she is trying to escape me."

Astoria turned to face the girl, someone that she recognised. She remembered playing with Lilith before they had even started Hogwarts, and they had been dorm mates ever since. She forced herself to smile softly, but before she could say anything, another voice joined them. This one was not something that she wanted to hear and she quickly stood. "What is your problem, honestly?" she asked, glaring at the boy.

"No problem" he shrugged stalking towards her "I just enjoy toying with you. your a marvelous toy" he winked his wand slid into his hand from his sleeve and he flicked his wrist to throw her against the wall.

Lilith watched the exchange with cold amusement. She hid her true face from Astoria for a long time, but today it just needed to be over. "Oh come on, that was very cruel of you, Hannibal," she said finally, knowing Hannibal would hear the mocking way she spoke.

Astoria glared at the boy, about to present her own curse when he beat her to it. She winced as her back hit the wall hard, but it was hardly the worst she'd gotten. Smirking at him, she said, "if you felt like being rough, all you had to do was ask." She flicked out her wand toward him, a flash of bright red, followed by one of bright blue. Her spells faltered however, when she heard Lilith speak. She could hear it in the other girl's tone, the mocking, and there was a flash of hurt in her eyes before it was gone.

As Lilith noticed Astoria's reaction, her mockery only continued. "Oh poor little you. You really believed I am still the same girl, didnt you?" she asked her. "You honestly thought that my disappearance was just simple cover up homeschooling. Oh well... it was. Sort of anyway,"she said, devilish grin across her face.

Hannibal lashed put his fingers wrapping around Astoria's neck. He shoved her against the wall using his large frame to pin her down. "Not so strongg now are you little flower?" He cooed mockingly "you could be strong you know but your too afraid, a true witch..a dark witch could fight me off." He grazed hos teeth along her neck as he spoke nibbling teasingly.

Astoria kept her eyes on Lilith as the girl spoke, despite her wand being pointed toward Hannibal. “I guess we’ve all changed,” the brunette said, glaring at the girl who she’d thought was her friend- one of the few in Slytherin house who had still talked to her. She was about to say that she didn’t care, when a hand wrapped around her neck as she was pinned back to the wall. “I never claimed to be strong,” Astoria muttered, “I’d rather be good than strong.” Bringing her hands up, she pressed her wand against the side of his head and cast a silent Stupefy.

Lilith watched her friend to toy with the little traitor but she noticed her curse too late. Moving fast behing Astoria, she let her nails turn into long, sharp metal blades, grabbing Astoria from behind, the blades tight on her throat making a little bloody marks. "I would drop it, if I were you," she growled into her ear.

He felt the curse take hold and he crumpled to the floor, his limbs going limp. He heard a quick counter curse being uttered by his friend and he rose slowly his limbs popping and his eyes turning feral..more animalistic. "Oh little flower, you are going to wish you were never born" shoving his wand into her stomach he cast dolohov's curse his lip curled into a manic smile.

Astoria froze as she felt cool, sharp steel against her throat. She considered dropping the wand, trying to talk her way out of it, but Hannibal was already waking up and it was two against one. Taking a breath, she figured that it was two against one anyway. What was the point in giving them any more of an advantage. She felt the spell that had been cast on her, and within a moment she recognised it. Her aunt had been dealing with the aftermath of that curse for some time after the battle, and so she tried to focus. Remembering what she had to say, she waved her wand at herself. It wouldn’t stop it but it would delay it from killing her. It would only help, though, if she was able to get out of the situation early enough. “Wish I was never born?” she asked, chuckling as she spat out some of the blood that had already begun to well in her mouth, “no. I just wish I was born far away from people like you.”

Lilith smirked. "Good little girl is trying to play bad, huh?" she teased her as she used her other hand to put small pressure at her lower spine. "With healer in the family, let's have a little quiz. If I snap your spine right here, will it kill you, or just paralize you?" she whispered. "And don't even for a second think I am not strong enough to do that," she added. Of course the woman she learnt the trick from was hundred times stronger vampire, but Lilith could still cause a damage if she wanted. "Drop your wand and you may walk out alive. Or fight, but in that case you will be his dinner tonight. And nobody wants to be his dinner. He likes to enjoy his meal still alive," she threatened.

Astoria snorted, stopping herself from shaking her head when there were blades against her throat, and she said, “I would never even try to be ‘bad’.” Although, at that moment she wished she was. Because she knew that even if she needed to, she wouldn’t want to try and fight with Lilith. Even though the other girl had made it clear where she stood, Astoria still thought of Lilith as the girl she shared a dormitory with and who she had spent time with before Hogwarts. “It depends how you break it,” Astoria answered, not allowing the inkling of fear that she felt show on her face. With Lilith behind her, Astoria kept her gaze on Hannibal, her lip curling slightly in disgust as the other girl spoke. Letting out a breath, she threw her wand down the corridor, away from where the three of them were. “Happy?” she asked stonily.

"OverJoyed" Hannibal sneered as he sauntered back to her. "Too bad your a disappointment to your family name" he gave a tragic sigh a look of mock shame across his features. His hand shot out and gripped her wand arm in a tight fist. He brought up his wand and silently he cast "bombarda"

Lilith managed to get away in the very last possible moment, but the blast still made her stumble back, doing sort of clumsy emergency flip. She was absolutely certain it looked cooler, than it was. "As much as I admire your taste for fun, this was uncalled for," she hissed at Hannibal as she got up and made sure her clothes was untouched. After that, she looked at her classmate. They used to be friends once. Lilith still remembered. But Astoria simply decided to follow the wrong path. She needed to be reminded of that. "Do you think she's dead?" Lilith finally asked, seeing Astoria lying on the floor from the distance.

Astoria smirked, a satirical response to Hannibal’s words. “Oh, that’s right! You know all about being a disappointment to your daddy, don’t you?” she said, glaring back at him as he neared her again. Astoria had been at school when Hannibal was a small child, and she wondered if Bill Weasley knew what the boy he’d once called his had turned out like. She tried to pull her hand out of his grip, but he was stronger than she was. Her eyes flicked between the boy’s face and her hand, before she winced away from the spell that he cast. Her arm hurt for only a moment during which she cried out, before it turned icy cold. Or at least part of it did. With the girl behind her gone, and Hannibal no longer gripping her arm, she crumpled to the ground as she took in what had happened to her arm. Looking down the hallway to where Lilith had moved to, she let out a dry laugh.

“Not quite so easy,” she called out, opening her other hand in the opposite direction. The only wandless magic she knew called her wand back into her hand, but she knew that she couldn’t defend herself quite so well with her weaker hand. Pointing it up at Hannibal, she started a string of hexes, and occasionally a curse, not even caring if they actually hit him. Eventually, she stopped, placing the wand in her pocket and leaning her head back against the wall. The spell she’d cast over herself to stop the internal bleeding was fading, and she wiped the blood from her lip, knowing that the blood leaving her through the wound in her arm was not the worst thing that she had to worry about.

Hannibal laughed coldly as he defended himself easily against the spells the girl sent at him. In a flash he was was on one kneee before her and grabbed her shirt, then standing upright he threw her down the hall leaving a trail of blood in her wake.

The jab about his father stung but he hid the pain behind his wicked grin as he devised his next trick.

"No killing," Lilith whispered to Hannibal. "Aunts wouldn't be happy about the outcome," she reminded him, that every fun had to end.

Astoria's vision was blurred, and she was hardly even able to make out the boy as he took hold of her and lifted her up. She was thrown, that much as could tell, but as her head collided with the ground again she slipped out of consciousness.

"I'll take care of this. You can wait for her by hospital wing door in a few weeks," Lilith smirked, picking the girl up. She was not heavy. At least not as much as Lilith would expect, but the blood was making mess. She dragged Astoria's helpless body to the hospital wing, lying about how she found her, she left her former friend in hands of the nurse.
