Took A Long While

Passing by the courtyard, James spotted Lily. She seemed to be alone. It was convenient. Since James, was also alone. He slowly approached her. "Hey Lily...you okay?" After the whole thing with Severus, Lily must've been devastated.

Lily was enjoying being alone, when she heard James. She turned to him and tried to smile a bit. "I felt better," she said weakly.

"That's good Lily. Very good." James got a little closer to Lily. "I think Snape didn't mean to call you a....you know what. Personally, I think it's fair you don't talk to him. He doesn't call you that on propose, but he does it on the other Muggle Borns."

"Could you please do me a favour? Don't talk about him. I am trying no to think about it," she asked sadly.

"Sorry." James placed his hand on Lily's shoulder. "Have you been doing something? Studying? Or Just standing there?" Asked James, laughing a bit.

"Not really. I was just trying to forget past few days, that's all. But I wasnt really successful," she said and smiled at him.

James placed his hand on the wall. "I'm really sorry for not being here sooner. Like that you wouldn't be alone." Said James, smiling back at Lily.
