Running away

Lily didn't really care where she was going now. All she wanted was to be as far from Sev as possible. How could he? He was supposed to be her best friend! They spent so much time together, she was there for him every time he needed her. But from two people who came to help him, it was her who he insulted the worst way. Precious princess Gaunt always does the good thing. How much Lily hated her. It was all her fault! She was sure of it. Her, her sister and their precious Death Eater group! She fell on the ground, crying.

"LILY!" Remus ran to her and slid to the ground beside her pulling her into his arms in seconds "Lily i've got you" he said his breath coming in short bursts.

"It was Sev-Snape. I just wanted to help him, I just..." she said as she was still sobbing. Her chest hurt and all she wanted was to forget about all of this.

He rubbed her back and shook his head "I bet the ass didn't mean it Lily"

"I don't care," Lily sobbed. "He said it. How could he say such a thing, even if he was mad," she said.

He hugged her tightly and shook his head "I dont know" he said softly "I don't know what would drive a man to say something so hateful"

"Help from a friend maybe?" said Lily with sarcasm and weak smile, but tears were still there

He reached up a hand to brush away her tears "What do you mean?" he said softly, he truly hated to see her so sad.

"Nothing. Just a stupid joke to cheer myself up," she said. "I should have expect that. Sooner or later," she added.

He pushed her hair behind her ear "Talk to me Lil, what do you mean by expect?"

"Come on, Remus. We all know how much time Snape spent following those death eater kids from his house. They took him in, it was only matter of time, when he pushes me away," said Lily bitterly.

"he wont lily flower" he said using the nickname he'd given her in first year when she reached out to him when no one else would "No matter how odd anyone else thinks it you two are best friends and that is that"

"He just did Remus. It was him all those years ago, who told me about this world. It was him who told me that blood means nothing," she said, her voice sort of empty.

"But he's a man and i know for a fact we men are fools he will apologize and you two will get over it one day at a time" he said with a smile
