Post by Medusa Savage Tue Sep 09, 2014 3:16 pm

Medusa circled the pitch on her firebolt, diving and ditching in between the goal posts before steering her broom back to the ground where some students were already standing. Jumping off, she ran a hand through her long hair and waited for the rest of her class to show up. Teaching them would be quite a new experience, but she would make the best of it and enjoy her time here.

Rachel walked to the quiditch pitch for her first flying lesson, she was a bit nervous about this lesson. Rachel looked on how the other Ravenclaw students busy chatting about the flying lesson. Rachel stood with a couple of Ravenclaw students waiting for other students of other houses. "Good afternoon, professor Savage." Rachel said politely.

First Flying Lesson Empty Re: First Flying Lesson

Post by David Shuter Tue Sep 09, 2014 4:05 pm

David was so pumped for flying lessons.. to be up in the air again and all. It had been far too long since he had flown, and was almost shaking with anticipation. His new firebolt was in his hand.. thanks to his fathers mass wealth, he was able to buy one with just putting small to medium size dent in his money. He had bought it hoping to make the team this year, yet with the Triwiz, he would have to wait until next year. He walked up with his friends, mocving his firebolt till it was rested on his shoulder. "Morning Professor"

Zack did not need flying lessons, but figured it was a perfect opportunity to show off his skills, and get loads of points for Hufflepuff. he was not going to let those lions get the house cup again this year. It was time Hufflepuff had some glory. Zack had his nimbus 2001 slung over his shoulder as he strolled over to the class. he eyed Shuter's Firebolt with a sense of distaste. He did not need a fast broom to win matches, he had his skills.

George took the flying lessons for one reason.. points. He knew he could fly well without lessons, having been on the Gryffindor Quidditch team for years. He saw The amass of Firebolts and Nimbus's and sighed, looking down at his Cleensweep in his hands.. he really hated being poor.

Jack had the newest broom in his hand as he stalked towards flying lessons. He had flown a few times before, yet was never really good at it. He would take this class just to get better. Dread filled him though when he saw Shuter there.. he did not want to appear weak in front of the Gryffindor, but he would do what he had to do..

First Flying Lesson Empty Re: First Flying Lesson

Post by Violet Snape Tue Sep 09, 2014 4:33 pm

Violet shouldered her broom and quickly followed Tatsu and Nyx to the Quidditch Pitch, all three girls were quite excited for their first flying lesson. They stopped next to the other Slytherins, though Violet waved towards her sister. "Hello Professor!" they greeted with a smile.

Elena and Sryinx were already waiting at the side of the pitch, watching their professor fly. They did not care much for any of the Hogwarts teachers, but they knew that Medusa Savage had been a Wolfclaw student herself, so they would respect her like their own teachers.

Ian and Neville joined the other students, a beautiful blond witch in their middle. Fleur had taken a liking to the two boys as they did not seem to always fall over themselves when she was around. "Bonjour, Professor." Fleur greeted politely.

An older Ravenclaw witch arrived a little after the others and joined her housemates to wait for the start of the lesson. She stood next to Mio's younger sister and smiled down at her. "Excited?" she asked her in her soft calm voice.

Mio had arrived with David and his other friends and barely was able to contain his excitement. He was only using a Nimbus2000, but it would be good enough for him to do well in this lesson. "Morning Professor!" he greeted and grinned up at the woman. Sithon was leaning on his broom with a bored expression on his face, though he brightened considerably when he spied Violet arriving with her friends. Ignoring the other Gryffindors, he skipped over to her and wrapped his arms around the girl. "Hello sweet maiden." he greeted with a sick grin and licked her face.

Azrael was standing next to Junis and the other Ravenclaws, though he did not really notice anything that went on around him for the voices in his head were talking even more rushed than usual. Amatus, Lezar and Jarlath were standing around him to keep other people from bothering the Ravenclaw student. Since they had found out that the boy was Elena's older brother, they had included him in their group as well and now looked out for him like for one of their own.

Rachel waved at her sister but stayed at the group of Ravenclaws. A Ravenclaw girl stood next to her and asked if she was excited. Rachel looked at her and bit her lip, a habit she had recently when she wasn't sure about something. "More worried than excited." Rachel admitted. She looked back at the teacher and she saw David and Mio coming up. She was so not happy to have lessons with the two of them and she would not jump on a broom on the first lesson.

First Flying Lesson Empty Re: First Flying Lesson

Post by Cinnia Valkyrie Wed Sep 10, 2014 3:08 am

Bill’s hand gripped his broom, which was unsurprisingly a cheap hand-me-down from his father. But the Gryffindor didn’t care in the slightest as he approached the area where students had appeared to gather. He had no interest in having the best stuff, so long as he still managed to do okay on the pitch.

Carmen threw Bill a playful wink as she adjusted her grip on her new broom, walking past the older student. Theresa nudged her in the side, a warning look being thrown to her housemate. Carmen had received a new broom every year since she had begun Hogwarts, as her parents liked to flaunt their daughter’s talent in the air. Honestly, though, Carmen would have flown whether she had a sophisticated broom or not, being the only thing other than sex and reading that the brunette actually cared about. Theresa on the other hand held a broom that Carmen had lent her so that she could try flying this year, unlike the past two years.

Alana couldn’t help but laugh as she made her way onto the pitch. She had honestly spent very little time on a broom in her life, but she had managed to talk herself into giving the lessons a try. At least that way, she would be learning the right way, she’d figured. A borrowed broom in her hand, she stood alone and swayed from foot to foot as she awaited instruction.

Lavender hated flying. She hated it with every fiber of her being, and she knew that she should have kept that fact to herself. Now, she had been forced into taking the lessons on it so that she could fly if she truly had to. “Stupid parents and their stupid overprotectiveness,” she muttered as her shoes kicked at the ground and her fingers gripped the broom in her hand even tighter.

There was no concern at all for Amber as she moved through the large gateway onto the Quidditch Pitch. She wasn’t a flyer, per say, but it had been a long time since she had genuinely feared anything. And thankfully that wasn’t the case with flying. There was only so far that she could fall, really, and it was a good skill to have. She didn’t really know anybody who was waiting, but she figured that this time she might as well start a conversation. Moving to stand next to someone she didn’t recognize, she smiled and asked, “are you looking forward to this lesson?

Nelle smirked as she muttered to her new tag-along, Charlotte, about how she would need to act afraid of heights as she flew. Everyone who had ever seen the girl attempt to fly before knew that she was terrified of it. Thankfully, during their first year Nelle hadn’t chosen to be too much of an afraid Hufflepuff, and so she had managed to enjoy flying as much as she pleased. Not that she enjoyed it all too much, though..

Siverion stood a short way from the group, without a want to talk to anyone. Honestly, his girlfriend had managed to avoid him, and wasn’t even showing up for classes. He hadn’t heard from her, and nor had anyone he’d asked, and he couldn’t figure out whether to be concerned or annoyed. Hopefully a good fly around would help with the furiously winding cogs in his brain.

Astoria chewed on her lip when she looked in the mirror. Her usually long, loose and wavy hair was pulled into a high pony tail, and she had sports robes on. She wasn’t sure if she liked it already, and even as she looked over at the shiny new broom that leaned against the wall, she swallowed the lump in her throat. She didn’t hate flying, she had simply never touched a broom apart from the single lesson she had participated in in her first year.

A few minutes later, she grabbed the broom and made her way through the grounds to the pitch, where there was already a collection of students gathering. Her eyes swept the area and she smiled when they landed on Ian. He had been the one that unknowingly persuaded her to attempt overcoming her fears, and she planned to make him be the one to help her do it. “This is all your fault...” she whispered as she came to a stop next to him, a pout on her lips with her gaze fixed straight ahead.

Cinnia followed her fellow Slytherin and raised an eyebrow when she noted the other girl speaking to a Hufflepuff. Instead of joining her, as she usually did during classes, she moved to the side of the group and sat on the ground, reaching her fingertips to her toes and began to stretch her muscles as she awaited the lesson’s start.

As she waited a few moments for her students to gather around her, Medusa was pleased to see so many of them excited for her lesson and a smirk graced her pale face when she nodded in return to some of their greetings. Finally when they all quietened down a bit, she clapped her hands to draw their attention to herself.

"Alright, guys, I don't know what you have been taught so far, by your parents or former teachers, but it doesn't really matter to me. I don't grade talent or the skill you show, so if you think just because you're a good Quidditch player you can slack off here, I have no problem failing you, got it?" Medusa calmly leaned on her broom, as her dark eyes surveyed the students in front of her. "If you do your best though, even someone without the natural talent can earn good grades in my class. For now, I want all of you that think of themseleves as advanced to gather by the post over there and wait for further instructions. Don't cause trouble, you won't like the outcome." With a wave of her hand, she dismissed those students, so she could focus on the beginners for now.

Ian turned to his Slytherin friend with a warm smile on his face and he laughed softly at her words and the little pout on her face. "You know I live to annoy you, Astoria." he told her in a whispered voice just before their teacher started to speak. He was a bit disappointed that he would not be able to practice with his friend, but maybe he could teach her some more later. Leaning closer, he whispered to her. "See you later and keep the cute pout." Ian winked at her before walking over to the post with Junis, Violet, Tatsu, Elena and Syrinx.

Neville walked over to Astoria and gave her a shy smile. He was quite nervous to be flying after the disaster in his first year. Subconsciously, he rubbed his arm which he had broken back then and sighed. "I can't believe that I'm actually doing this..." Nyx who stood with the others beginners muttered.

Mio glanced at David and Ian next to him when their teacher told the class to split up in beginners and advanced students. He shrugged and shouldered his broom, following Ian to the posts with Charlie and Sithon right next to him. "I hope this means we get to fly today." he said excitedly and leaned his chin on the Hufflepuff's shoulder, looking back at where Neville had to wait with some girls.

When the girls started to walk to the goal posts, Amatus quickly clapped Azrael on the shoulder to pull him out of his thoughts. The Ravenclaw seemed to have completely missed what their teacher just told them, so he up-dated him while they walked to join the others. Lezar and Jarlath trailed along, as always looking rather bored with everything.

David chuckled as he walked with Mio "Considering we're 'advanced' I seriously hope so." George walked along with them, with Zack following at a distance. David looked behind himself at George and said "No showing off mr Beater, for we all know you are the best flier here." George smirked while Zack grumbled and said "Excuse me, it takes much more skill to be a Chaser than a Beater" George's eyebrow raised as he turned around and said "If you mean by being a pompous buffoon, then you are right." David laughed as they reached the pole, Zack went silent for as he had no smart retort to that.

Jack watched Shuter and his little band of heroes leave with distaste, and then he felt a pang in his chest when Syr left as well. Was he really so unexperienced on a broom?

Rachel watched the group of advanced flyers as she had no experience at all with flying, she stayed on her spot but she was willing to try and do her best. She smiled at the thought of her being a better flyer than her brother. He would be stunned by surprise. Rachel stood a bit at the back in the group and looked at the other group of advanced flyers. That was a lot of people that already knew how to fly, Rachel thought.
