Thought you'd be different (Axel)

Her tear hitting his skin almost showed him what had happened before she came to meet him and her words only made the situation much clearer. Wrapping his arms around her despite the pain he cupped her chin so she looked up at him... "You are more than good enough..." he told her his blood boiling as the thoughts of how he could be kissing her filled his mind but he tried to push them back.

Lethia's eyes locked onto his and more tears sprung in her eyes. His words made her feel warm and fluttery but the pain grew. Leaning into his chest, avoiding where the pain was, she sighed. ''How do you know?'' She asked, letting her eyes close.

If it was possible at that moment his heart would have beaten at a supersonic speed, as his eyes widened when he understood that finally, he had his chance of making things right for him, right for her, right for them. "I know because... I love you Lethia..." he whispered and his heart beat returned to normal, perhaps even slower than normal as he waited for a response that would bring back the happiness he had when they first met.

Lethia's eyes snapped open at his words and her hand felt his heart beat slow down. She didn't know what to say...She began thinking of their past, thinking of him and her only. Then she began thinking of Axel and how her heart was no longer quickening at the thought of him, no more butterflies. It was as if she just shut him out of love but still felt the pain of his rejection. Slowly looking into Archard's eyes, she then began to smile. Despite how soon it was after Axel, it wasn't him she truly loved..It was her best friend..

Taking a small breath, Lethia leaned forward and brushed her lips against his. Feeling her own heart quicken, her smile grew and she pulled away from the kiss breathlessly. ''Archard...'' She whispered. ''I'm so sorry...I thought I loved Axel but the person...i truly, truly loved was..you. You all this time..'' She finished, more tears falling from her cheeks at the fact she never realized before hand.

He kissed her back his heart exploding with happiness, as he felt it pump blood into his veins at lightning like speed. His trembling hands touched her skin almost afraid of doing so but he crushed her lips with his harshly, his blood singing for that woman...

Lethia's heart raced happily, wanting to laugh at his trembling hands that seemed so unsure of where to touch. Leaning into his hands, she cupped his cheek and let her other hand rest on his heart again. Wrapping her legs around him, she straddled his lap making sure she avoided his sore spots. She let his hands rest on her thighs to indicate he can touch all he wants.
