Another Day, Another Lie [Ron, Hermione, Dellen, Lisbeth] (R)

Slipping his invisibility cloak over his small frame Harry followed the passage the Marauder's Map told him to use and was once again at Hogsmeade like last time. It was a real pain in his arse knowing that he couldn't walk freely out of the castle because of his darn muggle relatives whom were in charge of his life. It more than irritated him. Stealing a lollipop from a boy who had just bought one he walked out of the candy shop and stopped walking leaning against the wood, looking at the chorus sing those traditional christmas tunes.

Hermione looked out over the snow at the shrieking shake her heart beat steady in her chest. It felt good to be out of the castle though her mind wandered to harry. "I wish he was here" she mumbled to Ron glancing at him "Harry needs a break, to much keeps happening to him.."

Watching the crowd move about their business as usual, in the corner of his eye, the gryffindor spotted the deputy headmistress and the Minister enter a dimly lit bar, and followed them in, wondering just what they were doing at Hogsmeade. He didn't really wonder about Dellen, but Dellen AND Lisbeth? He had to see what was going on. Strangely enough, part of him was asking why did he have to get into such messes but his curiosity got the best of him. As the door closed Harry passed into the room and followed them up to the room above the three broomsticks, where he hid away.

Dellen smiled warmly as Lisbeth approached "Madam Minister" she greeted her, shaking her hand they embraced briefly and the two women made there way into the bar. Dellen held the door open as the owner of three broomsticks picked up the post from the post box "Hello Travers" she said to him holding the door "Lady Lestrange! such a pleasure!" the older man tittered. Chuckling she looked over her shoulder as a odd smell entered her senses. Someone was close by...she could feel it. Turning she followed Travers and Lisbeth towards the stair case, unaware as the presence followed them into the pub.

Walking up the stairs to the private room Travers was loaning them for there meeting he bowed awkwardly as he let the door open to the little parlor room that also was his office. "Is Mister Potter okay?" he asked his brow furrowed as the door closed. Dellen looked around in suspicion as the presence felt close but dismissed it as the door locked behind them and silencio was cast.

"Something wrong Lady Lestrange?" Bartimous Crouch Senior asked as he stood to shake hands with the Minister. Dellen frowned to herself and shook her head "No I don't think so no, Hello Bartimous its good to see you" she shook his hand and turned to the red haired man "Arthur good to see you are well" "Lady lestrange" he nodded.

Lisbeth smiled at Arthur broadly having a high opinion of the man ever since the final battle "Weasley" she grinned clapping him on the shoulder she gave him a friendly half hug before running a hand through her mop of black hair "Dellen what insight can you offer on this situation? I'm at a loss as to where Black could be."

Dellen slid her cloak off her shoulders looking at the assembled people in the room "its all very curious, James Potter, and Sirius Black were two of my very favored students back in there school days. They were over exciteable and trouble makers but good hearted boys. The two of them were always with Remus Lupin, who is now a professor at my school"

"And an Auror" Lisbeth nodded.

"And peter Pettigrew, whom we know as deceased by Sirius' hand" She crossed her arms over her narrow frame accepting the cup of warm blood from Travers "But how do you know Sirius killed him Lady lestrange?"

"We don't" Lisbeth interjected the eyes of the room on the minister now "Sirius was found at the scene of the crime with a dozen muggles dead and nothing left of pettigrew but his finger." silence settled over the group as Lisbeth shook her head "We took him in and he was laughing hysterically like he heard the best joke of his life."

"It doesn't add up" Bartimous grumbled "No it doesn't" Dellen agreed "Sirius was best friends with the Potters he lived with them for quite some time, he stood up at there wedding! Too betray Lily and james..the Sirius I knew at Hogwarts would have rather died gruesomely then aid Voldemort"

"But wasn't he dating that Gaunt woman for some time?" Travers interjected "I used to see them together here at three broomsticks so in love they were. Wasn't she niece of he who must not be named?"

"Yes he did but still even Marvolo wouldn't harm James and Lily there was bad blood there but-Sirius changed her" Dellen began to say when Lisbeth's frown interrupted her "Or She changed him"

Arthur's eyes narrowed and Travers even choked on his tea at the minister's words "Who knows, she has worked as a good employee for the last fourteen years never once got in trouble. She's even put death eaters in prison with the things she learns in the department of mysteries"

Travers lowered his eyes the old innkeeper deep in thought "Is it possible Sirius turned to the dark side?"
Dellen sighed heavily "We don't know, he never seemed capable of harming James, and being godfather to his son.."

Lisbeth stood up straighter her eyes wide "What!?"

"Thats right minister...Sirius Black is Harry Potter's Godfather"

Harry remained immobile whilst everyone engaged in conversation, his eyes falling on the deputy headmistress most of the time but also on Arthur looking at his best friend's father with tender eyes as he adored the man that cared for him so much even though Harry wasn't even related to him. Not that Harry knew of at least, but he was told that all wizards were related to a certain degree, something that confused him greatly.

His eyes barely fell on the Minister, Crouch and the other man, as Harry focused simply on not moving and not letting Dellen understand he was there. He didn't catch much of the conversation, only that Sirius Black had dated Marvolo Gaunt, and that...


Nearly kicking the door open, Harry ran off from the Inn, his presence vanishing from the room.

The door flew open making everyone in the room jump accept Dellen, travers got to his feet and mumbling about spirits he closed the door again. Dellen's eyes followed the air as the door shut "thats no spirit.." she thought to herself mournfully.

"Well, well," Kain uttered as he came from behind the snow filled trees, as he looked at Hermione and Ron "A mudblood and a blood traitor, how delightful," he cackled loudly, wand in hand.

Hermione spun as the voice from her nightmares appeared behind them, her rosie cheeks turned pale and she bit her lip hard. "Ah a incorrigible asshole" she said with what she hoped was a confident tone as she tried to swallow her fear.

Amara left the girls behind, running a hand through her dark hair the slytherin spotted her favorite male housemate and watched as he walked up the hill. Following him she chuckled softly at his words and draped a arm across his broad shoulders leaning her head on his she nipped at his ear suggestively and purred "What toys have you found my sweet shadow?"

Looking out over the snow and leaning lightly on the makeshift fence that blocked off the shrieking shack from the rest of Hogsmeade, Ron nodded in agreement. "Me, too. He's been though a lot lately and getting out would do him good," he said, looking at her and offering her a small smile. Ron knew that Harry's guardians hadn't signed his paper to allow him to come, but surely there could have been some way around that.

Turning as Hermione did at a familiar voice behind them, Ron's jaw flexed as Kain came into view. "What the hell do you want, Shadow? We aren't bothering anyone, especially you," Ron said curtly as one of Kain's housemates joined him. Two against two isn't so bad. But these two are bad news. I bet if Harry was here, the odds would be much better...

Kain was about to retort when he was seemingly punched by the air, and as Amara moved ever so slightly, she was tripped and two knifes sunk into her shoulders, before a fist connected with her cheek bone. Kain, already bloodied from the punch from before began getting up only to be speared from behind, and stabbed in the back. The knifes all had Bruce Carrow's emblem which was only use by three people: Bruce, Malphas...and Harry.

Pushing Ron aside slowly Harry walked past the fence that dictated the separation between Hogsmeade and the shrieking shack.

Hermione's hands flew to her mouth in shock as the two would be attackers were beaten and stabbed. Casting a charm to aid them in healing she grabbed Ron's arm "Come ON Ronald!" she said dragging him behind her as she chased the bloody footsteps.

As they came to a place where they stopped she slowed her pace and relinquished her hold on Ron. Walking up to the place where the footsteps stopped she knelt down and reached out her hand knocking the invisibility cloak from Harry's head. "Harry" she whispered reaching for him her arms encircling him.

Ron stood flabbergasted by the sight of both Kain and Amara being beaten by....no one. But, the blades that were stuck in them as a result could only belong to the one person that was able to be invisible. Before he could think on the matter further, he felt himself getting pulled firmly by Hermione.

Following close behind her, he didn't say a word and simply kept his focus on the footprints they were following should they lose them when the blood washed away. Coming to a stop, Ron glanced at Hermione as she let him go and moved to the end of the footprints. As the cloak slipped from Harry, Ron felt a tug on his heart at seeing his friend, his brother, in such distress. Moving to them both, Ron slipped his arms around not just Harry, but Hermione as well. "Mate, what happened?" he asked after several quiet moments, the only sound being Harry's sobs until then.

Sobbing quietly on top of a small boulder Harry's mind raced over the fragments of the conversation he had heard earlier, his eyes looked down at his hands that had been bathed in Amara and Kain's blood, and he strangely enjoyed it when he imagined doing the same to Sirius Black.

When the cloak was taken from him, he didn't stop his cries as Hermione and Ron hugged. He hugged them back allowing his tears to fall into their clothing, "He was their friend.... and he betrayed them..." he sobbed, "He was their friend!" he shouted.

"I hope he finds me... cause when he does, I'm gonna be ready... when he does, I'm gonna kill him!" he growled loudly, his hands clenching around his best friends' shoulders.

Hermione held onto harry for all she was worth, looking at Ron she only held him tighter "We'll be with you every step of the way" she promised "no matter what you decide to do...you fight I fight" she whispered raising the sleeve of her sweater to his tears. "Right ron?"

As if things couldn't get more twisted. First Malphas finds out that Sirius Black is his actual father. now Harry finds out that the same Sirius Black was a friend to his parents, turning them over to be slaughtered. Holding onto both of his friends tightly, Ron let Harry cry on his shoulder without a care. Looking at Hermione following her question, he nodded. "Of course. We are in this together. Whatever you decide, you have us both with you," he said softly, giving Harry's shoulder a slight squeeze.

Pulling him back he looked them dead in the eyes, they were the closest thing he had to real family, more than his muggle relatives ever were. Closing his eyes shut to not allow any more tears to flow down, he opened them wide, "Sirius Black is my godfather," he said bluntly.

Hermione's eyes widened in disbeleif "he..he's your god father.." she stammered softly "godric...Oh harry..harry i'm so sorry"

Ron was stunned, as he went slack jawed at hearing what Harry said. "Bloody hell...." he murmured. "Harry, where did you hear that?" he asked. How could Harry's parents make someone his godfather and then that person turns them over to be killed? It didn't make any sense at all!

Harry growled under his breath as Dellen's words resounded in his mind, clenching his fists he threw his head back, and stared at the dark sky... "I saw Deputy Headmistress Lestrange and the Minister enter the three broomsticks... so I followed them in," he explained leaning down and pulling the cloak onto his lap, "Your father was there, Ron, and so was a Bartemius Crouch... they spoke about him...and that's when I heard," he whispered.

Hermione rubbed circles into his back frowning a bit "So that is why you want to...well..h.hhurt him" she stammered slightly. Glancing at Ron she shook her head at a loss for words.

If the Minister and the Deputy Headmistress had a meeting, it was no surprise that his father and Mister Crouch were also in on the meeting. But, it still boggled his mind that his mass murder was his godfather. Harry's rage made sense, and Ron could understand him wanting to kill Sirius Black. Giving a grave look to Hermione, he took a seat next to his brother and sighed. "You know, Harry, I know you want to take his life, like he did your parents, but now that he is on the run, as soon as they catch him, the Dementors will do their dirty work. No more waiting for him. Keeps your hands clean," he said gently with a small shrug. He was pretty sure that Harry wasn't going to listen to his reasoning now, but it was worth planting the seed at least. Maybe later he would see it that way.

"Catch him?" he looked at Ron raising his eyebrows as if to ask if his brother really believed someone who had escaped Azkaban would be captured that easily. "Before he's captured again, if that even happens, I know he'll come to me... when that happens what do you want me to do? Yell for the dementors?" he asked growling slightly not at Ron but at him.

Ron sighed, knowing that Harry was right. As much as he didn't want his brother to be a murder so young, he couldn't deny that should something happen to bring them face-to-face, Harry couldn't just call the Dementors for help, as he said. "Well, whatever happens, we are with you all the way. Right, Hermione? Where you go, we go. Where you fight, we fight, too," he said, nodding to them both, and adding a classic Ron grin to the end. They hadn't let Harry down yet, and they weren't going to start now.

Harry sighed heavily not knowing what to do with the situation at hand, he wasn't sure whether he'd search for Sirius or not, or if he'd just let the murderer come meet him at his doorstep. "You were there before... I know you'll be there now," he answered knowing full well his friends wouldn't abandon him, at least not Hermione and Ron.
