Its Over (Lara) (PG-13)

Folding into him and breathing him in, Lara's heart sank and soared, if that was possible. The idea of still being his, still being able to see him, but in the eyes of everyone else, they were simply as they were before was reasonable. "I guess I have it a little easier as I can sneak away without many taking notice," she said softly to him, rubbing her cheek against his. "Maybe here can be our meeting place...." she whispered, feeling her heart begin to mend.

He closed his eyes his entire body practically covering hers as he cradled her "thats a good idea" he whispered softly "Lara if you decide to back out i'll understand...I just don't want to imagine a life where your not alive..i just..i'm willing to do anything to keep you"

"I don't want to back out, Rom. I feel like I'm supposed to be with you. Like you said in the library, I'm a light shining bright for you," she said soothingly. Lifting her head so she could look up at him, she smiled faintly, "I don't know how, but somehow I want to keep being that light."

"Your going to see me as a bad person.." he said

Lara's eyes searched his face at his words, her brow puckering slightly. "But....you're not a bad person," she said simply.

"you didnt notice me till Mom introduced us baby" he said gently "I'm not a good guy..i'm not.."

Lara looked away as she smiled to herself. "I actually did notice you, Rom. How else did I notice when you were or weren't in class?" she said lightly, almost teasing. "You aren't a bad guy. You're heart is too good. A bad guy wouldn't have done what you did for the reason you did," she added, bringing her eyes to him.

He shook his head morosely "just don't ...dont give up on me...even if you give up on us...don't give up on me.." he begged her

Putting her hand on his cheek, cupping his jaw, Lara shook her head and whispered, "Never..." before pulling him into a deep kiss.

He lost himself in her lips he felt like he deserved to be tortured for the words he said to her but in this moment it was only the two of them. His lips moved over hers as he held her tightly kissing her deeply, breaking the kiss he looked at her lovingly "Baby, would you like to come to christmas dinner at my house?"

Her eyes found his when he broke their kiss, holding her tightly, safely against him. A bright smile spread across her face as Romulus asked her if she would come to his home for Christmas dinner. "Rom.... I'd love to," she said giggling lightly. At least there, they could be as they were now without needing to worry who saw. No eyes would be on them there...

"You'll meet my new brother and i'll give you, your gift" he grinned "and when we are home we can let everyone knew we are together"

"A new brother?" Lara asked. She knew Romulus had a sister after her chats with his mother at the hospital, but didn't know he was getting a new brother. "Your family will be happy that were are together, right? It will be nice to not have to worry about such things..." she said, a touch of sadness coloring her words. This rues was going to be a challenge, but she would do it to help him, to keep him...
