Change of subject (Ian and Sydney)

Jace walked down the hallway with his sister by his side. She was going on and on about her boyfriend, Ian. “Sydney, I love you. But please shut up. Ian is all you ever talk about anymore. Cant we talk about something else? Like one of your stupid boy bands you like? Or quidditch?” He didn’t want to be mean, but it was getting old.

"See you later guys!" Ian called to his friends as he left the great hall after lunch. He had a free period now and wanted to head outside for a walk when he heard a familiar voice. "Oh, hey, Sydney!" he called and walked over to his girlfriend, kissing her softly on the cheek. "Hi Jace..." he then greeted her brother a bit stiffly.

Jace sighed, "Speak of the devil and he shall appear." Jace mumbled under his breath. "Sup, Mortinson." He glared at the boy as he kissed his sister.

Sydney smiled and kissed her boyfriend, "Hey babe." Sydney then punched her brothers arm, "Be nice." She turned back to Ian and grabbed his hand and smiled. "Whatcha up to?"

Ian smiled at his girlfriend, ignoring her brother's behaviour. "I was just heading outside for a walk, and you two?" he asked her.

"Being lectured by Jace about how I should shut up about..." She stopped talking. She didnt want him to know she had been talking about him alot. "Stuff.... just stuff... things."

Ian grinned and shook his head. "Stuff? ... now I'm interested." he said and poked her lightly in the side.

Sydney jumped and squealed when her boyfriend poked her, "Dont do that." She smacked his hand playfully and kissed his neck, forgetting momentarily that her brother was there. "Nothing. Just talking about the best thing in my life." She smiled and kissed him.

Ian chuckled and rolled his eyes. "I see. And that makes your brother angry?" he asked, thrwoing a glance at Jace. "Shouldn't he be happy for whatever makes you happy?"

"Yeah he should... Shouldnt he Jason?" She loved calling her brother by his real name, mainly because he hated it. "If I'm happy shouldnt you be happy for me?"
