Spencer was not looking forward to her intended trip into the creepy alley that adjoined Diagon. It's not that she was afraid, it was simply the fact that the place put her on edge. She had to go, though. She had promised her friend a book for his birthday, and with the party happening that night she knew that she could not delay any longer.

The woman entered the street and began to walk toward the book shop that she was certain would hold a copy of the book. She was not a fan of dark magic, but since it was what her friend wanted she would not disappoint. Her hand was in the pocket of her jacket, her fingers wrapped around the handle of her wand. Spencer could not see anybody, but she knew that someone could appear from nowhere, and she wanted to be ready for it just in case.

Bruce and Malphas walked through Knockturn Alley, with really just one purpose, getting Malphas a kill. The boy talked a lot, however, he hadn't killed yet, not with a wand anyway, and that enraged Bruce. Malphas had to be at least an adept at using wands, even though barely did Bruce know his son was also very enlightened when it came to spells. Only normal of course, he was the son of a Carrow and a Gaunt, and the heir of Slytherin. He had to be talented. As they strolled further down the alley, Bruce spotted no one but a woman, alone, in the darkness. "Well, there it is, prey," he grinned and his son looked on, eager to find out what his plaything would be. Bruce and Malphas kept on her tracks first wanting to know just where the woman was headed.

Spencer kept her gaze low as she entered the book shop. Surely it wouldn't take long to find it so that she could get the hell out of there! Within a ten minutes, she spotting the book amongst all of the others and smiled. Picking it up from it's place, she went to the counter and paid for it, not saying anymore than a quiet 'Thank you' to the man. Quickly, she walked out of the stop and began walking back in the direction that she had originally came from. She felt the strange feeling that somebody was watching her, but she was too focused on getting out of the dark street to care. It always felt like someone what watching her when she was in Kockturn, so she figured that it was probably nothing. She noticed a small movement from the corner of her eye and turned around quickly, her wand drawn from her jacket pocket. "Hello? Is anybody there?"

At the sound of her question, Malphas' cackle echoed through the alley. A shadow passed right in front of the woman. Bruce then suddenly, silently, apparated behind the woman and took out his wand.

He whispered into her ear, and then sent a gigantic water wave towards her. That day the alley was mostly empty, making it all that more frightening and dangerous. Literally.

Spencer jumped at the whisper, and turned around quickly. There was a.. large man in front of her, his wand drawn. She took a few steps backward, training her wand on him. "Incendio," she said quietly, waving her wand so that flames poured out. The intention was to evaporate as much of the water as possible. By the time the wave reached her, it simply wet the bottom of her jeans. "These were my good shoes!" She said, flicking her wand and saying, "Confringo."

Bruce waved his wand and the blasting curse turned into nothing but air as he grinned, he sent a combination of reductos and stupefys, each taking one side before blasting the floor with a sphere of fire. He wasn't using deadly spells because her life was to be taken by Malphas only. At that moment the boy came out from behind a barrel and sent a dagger towards her back.

The woman fended off majority of the man's attack, although one of the Reductos managed to clip her on her side. Her left hand went to her side as she sidestepped another spell, at which point she noticed a dagger fly past her, just missing her body. Spencer glanced over her shoulder before stepping backward until her back hit a stone wall. This way she could see both of her attackers. "Weren't you ever told that stabbing someone in the back is a coward's move?" She threw a well aimed Stupify at the young boy, hoping that it would leave him there so that she could focus on the older man. In the few moments that had passed since the dagger had missed its target, Spencer had managed to stifle the blood that was coming from her ribs. "And that men shouldn't attack innocent ladies in the street?" She added as she refocused her wand on the man trying to fight off the dizziness that was already coming with the blood loss, "Incarcerous."

As Spencer 'fell' out of the way of the dagger, it went towards Bruce. The man just extended his arm and grabbed the hilt before it came closer to his body. Malphas, as he looked at Spencer, grinned and simply cast a protective shield. The stupefy hit it and it made him shake a tad bit, however, the shield did it's job well. As he and his father heard her speak, Malphas could swear they both started laughing at the same time. As a tick rope exited her wand, Bruce didn't move, as the rope was simply close to grazing his ear, "Seems your aim is not that good anymore, miss," he mocked her, non verbally casting Crucio on her, while his son used expelliarmus on her.

Spencer knew that the man was right. The blood wasn't slowing down anymore, and she was pretty sure that a couple of her ribs were broken, and that was why her hand was only able to hold the blood for so long. Her eyes were closing, but they snapped open again when she felt excruciating pain throughout her entire body, and her wand slip from her fingertips. The woman closed her eyes tightly, and didn't even have the energy anymore to even cry out. I'm going to die by a fucking Reducto! she thought bitterly as she slid slowly down the wall, and she fought the unconsciousness the best that she could.

As Spencer seemingly gave up fighting them, either because she didn't want to or because she couldn't, Bruce clapped, "Alright son do your worst," he teased Malphas whom frowned "I love you too dad," he walked closer to the witch, and turned to look at her wand. He sent it towards his father whom destroyed it with another reducto. Turning to her, he knelt, and pointed his wand at her neck, "Best way to do this?" he asked his father, "Slit her throat," Bruce answered nearly instantly, and Malphas nodded. "Diffindo," he whispered slashing the air right in front of the woman's throat.

Spencer could hear them talking, but she couldn't even move her fingers, let alone an arm in defence. She wanted to call out for help, or at least say something snarky before they killed her, but her mouth wouldn't form any words. She allowed herself to relax, since she couldn't do anything productive. It would be easier that way, she was sure. In the split second between the boy muttering the word Diffindo, her last thought was, Better than dying from a broken rib..

Malphas put his wand away, and then looked up at his dad, whom looked back at him with approval in his eyes, "There we go, your first wand kill, that wasn't so bad was it," Bruce teased his son whom growled, "What about the body?" Malphas asked as he furrowed a brow, "This is knockturn alley, seeing a dead woman lying on the floor is extremely normal," Bruce grinned not caring if it brought any consequences on them and then apparated him and his son away.
