Unexpected Events (Barty Crouch Sr.)

Barty chuckled as Dolores complimented him as well. It wasn't properly customary of Barty to actually flirt with other women, but Dolores wasn't exactly a young skank. If others saw them talking, they'd actually dismiss it as simply business. But truth the matter was, maybe Dolores could offer Barty some distraction. He drank another glass, shaking his head rather fast. "Did you have many boys after you in your Hogwarts days Dolores?" Bartemius asked, placing his elbows on the table, and holding his face with his hands.

Dolores looked at him, still smiling. It was obvious at this point that this conversation was more than simply colleagues having a drink. He was flirting with her, and she actually liked it. She didn't think anyone would have been able to guess it in a million years, but it was happening. "I had my fair share of love and heartbreak in my school days. Though I can't say that continued after I left Hogwarts," she said. "And you?" She wasn't sure why she was so curious, but she had to ask.

Bartemius couldn't help but chuckle at her question. Most Ministry workers knew he was married, but many always assumed Barty had constant affairs. A wrong assumption. Although having an affair wasn't completely impossible. Especially, since Barty had a taste for alcohol. Like at that exact time. He was starting to get intoxicated by the booze, and could only lay his eyes on Dolores. "Had my eyes on one woman since the first year. I always eye what I want carefully and closely..." he said, still not taking his eyes off Dolores.

Dolores smirked. She had forgotten the Bartemius had been married until then, and he seemed to have almost forgotten it completely. She could tell the alcohol had gotten to his head, and to hers a bit as well. She sat up on the desk and leaned her elbows on her knees, looking straight at the man. "I can tell what you have your eyes on right now," she said. She wasn't one to take advantage of an easy target, but she hadn't had any fun in her life for years and this seemed like a perfect opportunity that may never come again.

Barty slowly got up from his chair, pulling it away from his desk. Slowly taking his wand out, he walked around the desk, to the center of the room, and locked the door with a flick of said wand. He cleared the desk of all the items he had set down, and walked to it, eyeing Dolores closely. "Let us not waste time..." he said, as he let his wand hover over to a holster on one of his shelves. He let his long coat drop to the floor, before smirking at the woman in front of him...

Dolores watched carefully as the man walked around the room. He was surprisingly direct, but she didn't mind. She walked towards him, her robes falling to the floor behind her. As she closed the space between their bodies she said, "This is...unexpected." She knew that it was wrong, but it didn't feel wrong. She hadn't been in a situation like this ever before, but it wasn't something she was proud of. She couldn't turn back now.

Barty swiftly made his way to Dolores, pressing his body against her, before slowly kissing her lips. "Life is...surprising!" he said only, before going back to stamping his lips on hers. Sure, he was being driven mostly by booze, but why care about it. It was happening, and that's all that could be said about it. Bartemius simply forgot about everything else, and focused on the woman he was holding...

Dolores kissed the man passionately before saying, "Yes, yes it is," and then began kissing him again. If anyone would have guessed that this would happen, Dolores would have called them insane. So why was it happening? Dolores pushed those thoughts aside and focused more on the man in front of her. It was happening, so she might as well enjoy it.

Bartemius let his hands slide down to Dolores's thighs, and pulled her up so he could sit her back in the desk. However, his lips never stopped touching hers, as he tasted her mouth with his tongue. It was strange, yes, but Barty didn't have any other thoughts at the time. He simply wanted her, there and then...

Dolores ran her hands up the man's back to pull him closer, still kissing him. Dolores had never done anything like this before in her life, so every move she made felt odd, but right at the same time. She knew everything was motivated by the alcohol they were both drinking, but at the moment Dolores could have cared less. She just kissed him with as much passion as she had, forgetting everything around them.

Barty didn't stop kissing the woman, releasing his slacks quickly, as he laid her back in his desk. His face was void of emotion, and he simply forgot the rest of the world, as the aurors and Ministry officials passed by his door, knowing not what happened inside the door of Crouch's office.



Outside his window, the papers flew around the Ministry, as Bartemius fixed his jacket. He was much more lucid, but tried to not think of what he had just done, and simply gazed outside. Looking down at the many aurors working, while he had just done something else...something much different. He felt as if he was a terribly boss...

Dolores re-buttoned the last button on her blouse and walked over to Barty. She felt as if she were dripping with guilt. She had lost all of her judgment. "Bartemius..." she said in a low voice. "We must not speak of this to anyone." She couldn't stand the thought of anyone finding out about the events of that day. Her career would be ruined...

Barty sighed with relief, as Dolores seemingly thought the same as he did. "Indeed, it mustn't go public." He commented, before turning to her, "We were discussing the recent muggle born attacks, if anyone questions you about what we were doing..." he said once more, before rubbing his eyes. He turned back to the window, casting his gaze on the aurors once more, Oh Christa... he sighed in his thoughts, shaking his head in disappointment.

Dolores nodded. "Agreed," she said to him. She walked over to the door and just before putting her hand on the handle, she turned back to him. "Oh, and thank you, by the way. I had a nice time," she said to him. Then she exited the room and returned to her work, trying to forget everything that had just happened.
