What Things May Come (Bruce)

Slipping out of her empty dorm marvolo walked down to the official Care of magical creatures classroom, not that it was ever used since the professor preferred being out doors.

She slipped into the office and into the hidden room in the back where she knew Bruce's quarters to be.

She walked into the cold chambers and lit a fire with her wand. Since her sister left for a short honeymoon she didn't feel like sleeping alone. Removing the charm that hid her swelling belly she smiled, she was growing bigger by the day.

Slipping into one of his shirts she started a pot of hot cider and elected to wait for him.

Bruce drove a stake through the acromantula, pouncing over a boulder. Usual nights at the forest, and he had gotten quite used to it already. Hogwarts was never truly going to be a home, but temporarily, Bruce could handle it.

Whipping some sweat of his forehead, Bruce walked back to the castle, seeing no one in the corridors. As he entered his classroom, he felt a familiar smell. The painting that allowed people to get into his room was open, and only Marvolo knew the password other than Bruce and Dumbledore. He stepped in, saying the password once more as it closed behind him.

He entered his room, and smirked as he saw Marvolo's belly. It had been 5 months already. Time was flying by. He came up behind his woman, passing a hand by her stomach over her clothes. He kissed her neck, smirking. "Hey beautiful!"

The second he touched her skin she instinctively tilted her head to the side allowing him access to her neck "Evening handsome" she could smell the sweat on his body as she made some dinner "Hungry?" she asked turning in his arms to kiss him softly on the lips. "I worry when your out there alone hunting salazar knows what"

Bruce grinned, as his woman laid her lips on his! "Not even werewolves can harm me out there!" he answered as she pulled back. Other than his sweat, he could smell Marvolo's food in the air, and his stomach growled. "And actually, yes, anything you cook makes me hungry!" he stated softly, before stepping back, and grabbing a small towel. He cleansed his body of all the sweat, watching Marvolo cook. "Our baby's growing..." he said proudly.

As she watched him clean up she shook her head "your not invincible love..." laying out some food for them, beef and vegetable stew, a bottle of fire whiskey for him and a pumpkin jucie for herself.


Sitting down at the table she smiled at him shyly "The healers said...we are having a boy..."

Bruce pulled a bench for himself, not bothering to put on a shirt. He was on his own room for crying out loud, why should he wear too much clothes, "Thats not what the acromantulas say!" he joked, digging in on the beef. He was at least gonna try to eat slowly. But still, he was a beast. He wouldn't be able to eat slowly... "A boy?" He asked with a smile. It could go either way in Bruce's mind. "That's wonderful. Does Tom know?" he asked casually, using his lords first name. While not in his presence, Bruce would call him whatever he wished.

Marvolo shook her head she'd become accustomed to how Bruce acted and spoke of her uncle. "No i've not seen him yet to speak to him I figured the father of my son had the right to know first" she winked at him with a smile " when i do tell him, would you accompany me? I can't risk his outbursts at this stage." she laid a hand on her stomach as she ate.

Bruce shook his head with a smirk, but then, the smirk faded. "Of course. I'm not gonna let him even try to touch you," he said, his eyes narrowing. Then, he put on a kinder smirk, as his thoughts ran. "What do you want to name him?" he asked, with a few ideas in his head.

She blushed a bit, she couldn't believe this man loved her and wanted to protect her "Malphas Corvinus" she said softly

"Mal...that sounds hispanic." he joked, with a smirk. "You want his last name to be Gaunt, don't you?" Bruce asked. It wasn't exactly a problem. Bruce did want some kind of descendent with his last name. But, why bother. Amycus, Alecto and Karaline could still pass on the Carrow name. Bruce didn't necessarily have to do it...

"just for Malphas" she said frowning a bit "Uncle said the first born sons of us both, Morana and I must carry the gaunt name because we are women..if you plan to stay with me and perhaps have another child some day he or she will carry your name" she smiled at her bold statement smirking into her pumpkin juice.

"If I plan to stay with you..." he said, picking his glass up. "There's no if in that love." he said with a smile, drinking the firewhiskey. "I'll stay with you forever...I was actually thinking about something you know....after Morana's wedding...since our Malphas is coming and everything." he said with a grin.

Her heart raced at his words, he was perfect and he knew it. "What was that?"

With a clap, a box laid in Bruce's hand. It was a dark green box, with fake fur covering it. Bruce opened it, smiling at his woman. A RING came out, as Bruce clenched his hand around it. "Marvolo..." he said softly, pulling her hand slightly. "After watching your sister settle down...and that half blood Lupin ask his woman's hand, I can't help but ask this, will you...be mine forever?"

Marvolo gazed at the man she loved in utter shock, her heart felt as if it would beat out of her chest and she could feel her son shifting inside of her as if he could sense her excitement. She got up and walked over to him, not once there hands parting she said "yes..yes I will" she said softly as she gazed into his dark eyes are bright ones full of love she kissed him "god yes of course bruce i'll always be yours"

Bruce passed his thumb by his lover's hand, sliding the ring down her ring finger. "This won't end like your prior engagement!" he said, reciprocating the kiss. "You will be my wife." he said at her ear, smiling.

"I wont let you go" she said softly "your the best thing thats happened to me"

"No..." he said softly, "Morana is. I'm just another love," he smirked, winking.

"no your my one true love" she said meaning every word she kissed him on the nose and looked at the ring happily.

Bruce breathed deeply, keeping himself from starting another conversation without meaning. "What matters is you're mine!" he said, powerfully, before looking at the ring as well. "Do you like it?"

"I love it" she said with a smile kissing him lightly on the nose. "its perfect and so are you"

"Very well..." he said smirking. "After Malphas is born, you'll become Mrs Carrow..." Bruce said with a smirk. A wedding, even if it was a secret, could be attacked...who knew who could be trusted. Bruce wouldn't take chances with his possible son's life...
