I knew I find you here (Morgan)

Lily was sitting in the library on the Morgan's favourite place. She wanted to apologize for her behavior even if she still thought the truth was on her side. But Morgan will never find her way back if she will act this way and even if James didn't really seem to care about what will happen with Morgan, Lily did care. She saw the good in her no matter what Slytherins did and she still believed the day will come when Morgan will their true faces.

Morgan entered the library, one of the few places that she actually felt somewhat at peace as of late. she was lonely, but didn't want to seek anyone out. As she rounded the stacks to her usual table, she found it already filled. She was about to turn back, when she noticed it was Lily. A small smile touched her lips as she walked over to her old friend. Morgan had to make amends and now was the time to do it...

"Lily? Mind if I join you?" she asked quietly, as she tucked her blonde hair behind her ear. Everything about Morgan was back to her norm: jeans, tee, sneakers, even her hair styled simply, pinned up at the sides and straight.

Lily looked up and smile. "No, not at all. I am actually waiting for you. And this is the only place I knew for sure I can find you," she said kindly as she also explained. "I wanted to apologize. I was acting stupid," she added as she noticed ring on Morgans finger and half froze in shock. She didn't expect this. She quickly pushed away all the things her mind started to shout. If she now snapped, she would most likely lose tha last change to wake Morgan up. So in split of a second, she rather went back to normal and tried not to stare at massive ring

Morgan sat her books down and took a seat next to Lily. "No, I'm the one who should be sorry..." she started and then paused as she noticed Lily looking at the ring she still wore. She hadn't had the heart to stop wearing it after Rabastan and she parted ways. Morgan moved her hands to her lap nervously.

"No, I was being a bitch. I was so full of my feelings towards them, that I didn't really think of how you feel it and I was afraid of losing you," Lily explained herself. "But as I see, he really means it with you," she added and succesfully hid bitterness in her voice and mind. She wanted to tell Morgan how unhappy she will be with that monster and how huge mistake she is making, that because of him, one day she will be on run, in Azkaban or worse, dead. But she didn't say a word. Because she knew non of it mattered. If Morgan really loved him so much to agree to his offer to marry him, she was most likely willing to risk all this.

Morgan's dropped her eyes and bit her bottom lip as she thought of what to say. "We aren't.... We aren't together anymore, Lily," she said looking up, her grey-blue eyes bright but filled with some sorrow at the loss. Morgan still felt for him and missed him dearly, but she was afraid to go to him. She didn't want to confuse either of them.

"Oh," said Lily, not sure how to react. "And who is the lucky guy than?" she asked, trying to cheer her up a bit because it was hard not to natice her face went sad when Lily mentioned Rabastan. And telling her it was smart move would be stupid. Lily knew that. She still wanted to know what happened.

Morgan smiled slightly and played with the ring on her finger. "There isn't one, now," she said. "Guess I really messed things up. First, Sirius. Then, Rabastan. But we left on good terms. I just...." she rested her elbow on the table and leaned her head on it. "I could be with him, but I couldn't support what he....does, believes. You know?" Morgan tried to explain without giving too much away as to what had happened to help her see. "He said I could keep it, the ring. I just haven't had the heart to take it off...." she added with a sigh.

Lily looked at Morgan and saw true sorrow in her face. She really loved him. And yet, she left him. What so horrible he had done to make her leave? "What happened honey? You know you can talk to me, right? I won't tell anyone," Lily said as she held Morgan's hand. Right now, all she wanted to do was help. "Was it really that bad?" she asked because she could clearly see the pain Morgan felt from losing him.

Morgan looked at Lily's offer and sighed, she leaned in and told her in a hushed voice, "He...killed...at least one Muggle, Lily. He came back the night Marvolo died covered in blood. That's when he told me what he was and how he was happy to be that way." As she spoke tears welled in her bright eyes. "When I told him I couldn't....be with him if he was like that, he understood. It was almost like he knew that I wouldn't be by his side for forever," she said as a single tear ran down her cheek. She wiped it away quickly, "But, he did say that I was a good fit on their side..." At the memory of his kind words, she smiled.

Lily looked down, slight regret on her mind. Why did she want to know this? Why did she force Morgan to tell her? Now she had to be quiet, because she promised. And meeting this bastard, this murderer every day in corridors. "I am so sorry Morgan," she whispered. This wasn't a time for I told you so and Lily knew it. "But you wouldn't fit to them. Their sun went down really long ago," she added. She wanted Morgan to see she did a good thing.

Morgan smiled and nodded slightly. She knew that she didn't belong with them, but now she was conflicted. She had friends on both sides, family on both sides, and didn't know where she belonged anymore. Sure she still had her friends, but she felt more alone than ever. "You and the others were right, Lily," she said looking at her friend, "I was just too much of a fool to see it. Can you ever forgive me?"

"For what? For falling in their charm? It's not really hard. I understand that. Important is you are back now," Lily smiled at Morgan. She meant it. She knew specialy Morana knew perfectly how to make people love her when she needed. "But in the end, only true feelings remain. Manipulation will pass," she added.

Morgan reached out and grabbed Lily's hand. "I'm sorry for the cruel things I said to you. I really am... And, I'm back," she said with a bright Morgan smile. "I'm touched by the darkness I walked in, but I'm me again. And, you know, it feels right...." she added with a small laugh. "They are quite gifted with twisting things, aren't they?" she asked. She knew Morana was very good at it, but she also saw a side of her that not many others had seen. Morgan saw, first hand, the caring Morana. The one who wanted the ones she cared about to be safe.

"I know," Lily said with smile. "And I am glad you are back. I missed you," she added, smile back on her face. "I guess that's all they know. They are not capable of having true friends, so they probably at least want to pretend they have them. But friendship is not about manipulation and making others worship you. I guess that's something Gaunt will never understand," she said matter-of-factly.

Morgan didn't know about that. Even though they might be Gaunts, she had seen the kinder side of both of them. She knew that was real, she could feel it. "I missed you, too. And the boys... Did James tell you I slapped him good?" she said with a laugh.

"What? No! I think he felt humiliated in that case!" Lily laughed. She didn't know that. What did she know actually? News were missing her lately.

Morgan laughed. "He better be humiliated after what he said to cause it! I didn't even think about it. It just.... happened," she said brightly. "But, oh, did he deserve it!" she added.

"What did he do anyway?" Lily asked, still laughing over this. She kept imagining the look on her boyfriend's face, when Morgan slapped him.

"He didn't know about Rabastan and my parting of the ways and said some pretty nasty things. He told me that I used to be something, but now I was nothing. And, something in me just snapped. So, I slapped him," she said brightly. "I guess I said said somethings after I slapped him that made him either forget or forgive it right away as he didn't really talk about it afterwords," she added happily. It really was a memory that was both sweet and bittersweet at the same time, but it was one that made her smile whenever she thought about it.
