Shopping for a new broom

Eric tapped the bricks with his wand and came out onto the busy streets of Diagon Alley. It took his eyes a few minutes to adjust to the blinding sun. Looking around he noticed that quite a few of the shoppers were around his own age and he noticed quite a few from around school and nodded in their direction. He was so excited about getting a new broom and walked around with a large smile on his face gazing into shop windows and mummering "WOW" whenever he saw something that excited him.

Being the roguish misfit of the family was quite a wondrous perk. This was an unintended scapegoat to do whatever one pleased, and disregarded any repercussions that were placed on them. Andromeda's case, for example, was extremely similar to that makeshift privileged lifestyle. Aunt Walburga's commands and scolds didn't seem to penetrate Andromeda's mind and have an effect on her, so she would usually nod her head and pretend to agree. But the best things was yet to come: being able to wander about anywhere and everywhere that she pleased.
Andromeda strutted down Diagon Alley with her curled dark-indigo hair waving in the wind behind her. She was in her own moment right now, free of the burden of what the rest of her family attempts to force on her. Andromeda was humming softly when she spotted a boy entering the alley from a brick wall. Hm, that's the boy in Narcissa's year, she thought to herself as she passed a few of her own classmates. Still caught in her jovial trance, Andromeda wafted through a small crowd of kids to head for one of the stores in the shopping district.

Eric noticed a dark haired girl staring at him whom he immediately remembered was Andromeda Black from the year above him. He saw her turn away from him and make her down the street, at gut feeling told him go and talk to her so he made his way over to her. Upon reaching Andromeda he tapped her on the shoulder and said "Hi Andromeda how's your holiday been" with a big smile. He had never talked to her before but he wasn't the type to be shy.
