Sweet and Sour (Sarah)

Armen walked out of his hut and through a hunk of meat to Kuroma, the wolf snapped it up with his huge jaws and grumbled appreciatively. Sitting down on the steps he nibbled at a piece of raw meat and watched students run by.

Sarah came quietly. She wanted to surprise Armen. Usually it wasn't her, who was working outside. She was head of her depaartment after all and this wasn't even her case, but she offered herself, because she wanted to see him. "Well hello," she smiled brightly as she saw him. They spent last weeks together and she started to trust him. He was gentle and honest with her, he cared for her. And that didn't happen to her for a very long time. If ever.

Having the last bit of his snack he turned swiftly with a glare, seeing his target he turned to a sweet smiling gentlemen "Sarah!" he said stepping off the steps to swoop her into his arms and kissing her "you startled me little dove, what brings you here?"

"Officialy ministry bussines. Unofficialy you," she kissed him back still with that smile. "I missed you," she whispered to him.

"I miss you too" he said, behind them Kurama sneezed in distaste knowing his companion was not interested in her. "Will you be here more for the tournament?"

"It looks like that, yes. Some people at the ministry are worried. It looks like something big and horrible is coming," she said a bit more serious. No one really knew what exactly was coming, but world alredy knew about dark wizard who called himself Lord Voldemort and as far as Sarah could tell, he had a lot of followers. But that was something she couldn't tell anybody. Not even Armen.

"I heard things down the pub last week" he said rubbing her back "I will protect you little dove"

Sarah smiled as she hid in his arms. She knew how to protect herself. It was her who was supposed to protect others, but she couldn't tell him that no matter how much she wanted. "I know, my love," she said only and kissed him again with all love she felt for him.

He returned her kiss "I love you" he said the word feeling like ash in his mouth "Would you like to meet my old friend?"

"I love you too," she said back. "Of course I would love to," she added right away.

"He was about to show up to have a drink and discuss bussiness with me" he said the moment a large python slithered into view "Nagini" he said with a grin offering his arm to the snake, the snake slithered up his arm not yet full grown she wrapped around the limb and rested her head on her shoulder, a tall man with dark hair came out of the forest he was dressed in a well tailored suit.

"Tom" Armen said warmly "its good to see you, may i introduce you to my girlfriend, Sarah Jones"

The man named Tom gave a cold half smile and extended his hand "Its an honor to meet you"

For a single moment, Sarah's eyes widened in complete shock. She froze on a spot and for just that moment, she had no idea what she should do. Did Armen know who this man was?! In the second moment, her face went back to smiling girl. She was head of Unspeakables for a reason after all. So she decided to play this game for a bit, so she could find out more. Besides, if Armen knew, it meant she would be one against two of them. And even her wouldn't stand a chance. "It's nice to meet you," she said perfectly calm outside, with her typical bright smile. Inside she felt fear like never before.

"Let us step out of the sun for a few drinks" he said Kurama got to his paws and walked into the hut, followed by armen Leading sarah, Tom shut the door and Nagini slid to the floor lying next to the large wolf.

The three sat around the table and Armen took out a few drinks "So how is the research going?" Armen said easily "I heard you are making progress on how to bring Nagini's species out of extinction"

Tom nodded "Indeed, I found a petrified python egg I am working with the muggle scientists to try to re-animate it" he sipped at his drink slowly his eyes watching the two.

Armen nodded "I'd be glad to hear they are safe and sound old friend, he glanced at Sarah "Sarah works for the Ministry I never get to see her but today she decided to surprise me, i hope you don't mind"

Tom held up a hand "Not at all, though I need to speak to you privately " Armen looked at the blonde at his side "would you mind stepping out love?"

Sarah watched two men talking like ordinary friends. She was surprised by Tom saying he works with muggles. That didn't really fit into profile of Tom Marvolo Riddle. And it was profile created by the best together with Sarah and even Dumbledore. She wasn't sure what was going on here. She trusted Armen, but thought they may made a mistake and Voldemort was in reality someone else seemed very unlikely to her.

"Sure," she said kindly and walked out of the hut. She still hoped she might be able to hear the conversation, but in the end, she wasn't, so she just kept waiting patienly untill Armen calls er back. She didn't know why she didn't run away instead. Because she should have. All her instincts were telling her to do so. To alarm ministry. But her heart simply refused to believe Armen was bad. That it was all just a lie. Again.

The two discussed what they needed, as they finished up Armen walked him to the door and Nagini followed, opening the door some twenty minutes later he said "Come back soon you owe me dinner and now a drink"

Tom laughed and shook his head "it was a pleasure Ms. Jones" with a boy he was off into the forest.

"Come in love I saved you a drink" he said

"Pleasure is on my side," she replied automaticaly while she wished this all to be just a bad dream. She smiled at Armen as he invited her back in ans sat on the chair, waiting for him to start speak. Mainly, because she had no idea what to say.

"Its always good to see an old friend" she said with a smile

Sarah nodded nervously as she was looking into the floor. "So how did you two meet?" she asked first stupid question that came on her mind. She simply couldn't ask him honestly, she was afraid of his answer. But she had an idea how to find out without asking. Ministry knew Voldemort had his mark, which he used to mark his followers. If Armen had it, it meant Tom really was who she thought he was and Armen was with him. She just needed a plan.

Armen shrugged out of his shirt his bare arms and chest visible for her, he could feel her eyes almost searching for the mark she wouldn't find one. "We were dorm mates in school he was a strange kid but we got to be friends after I was thrown into the black lake from the quidditch stadium in a horrible storm, he's the one who fished me out and we were just second years practicing for try outs" he laughed at the memory as he pulled on a sleeveless t-shirt that showed off his muscular body.

It was almost like he rad her thoughts, but mark was nowhere to be found. Her fear was mostly gone in that moment. Of course she knew he would most likely find a way to hid it, but still, seeing him like this made her feel much safer. "Oh, so you two have a long history than," she smiled. "Why does that surprise me, you really talked like you know each other for a lifetime," she added imidiately.

"We haven't seen each other outside of sending owls for years he only had time for a beer but its better then nothing" he said as he got them both some meat pie and sat down at the table.

"It's always nice to see an old friend. I used to have one. Back in muggle world. After what happened with my parents, I saw her only three times and than never again. I hope she is still alive, has a family and happy life. Sometimes I imagine what wuld it be like if we saw each other again. If I could be part of her life again," she said partly lost in her memories. She didn't really want to say that out loud, but she herself wanted to forget about the fact, that she shaked hands with Tom Riddle and didn't call whole ministry.

"Why don't you look for her love"

"I can't. Maybe more like I am afraid of my father. I don't want to meet him and with his insanity, I believe what he said all those year ago about keeping an eye on her in case I will try to come back," she explained. She knew her father wouldn't stand a chance against her right now, but she wasn't capable of hurting someone. And that was her biggest weakness.

Armen frowned and hugged her "shh dont worry if that devil comes near you...i will drag him to azkaban and send him tot he dementors"
