Tick Tock (Briana, PG-13) Empty Tick Tock (Briana, PG-13)

His hands were still latched to the bars of his cell like every day, almost showing that no matter what Philip would one day rip them apart and escape. He had yet to try and he was unsure whether or not he'd succeed considering security was tighter and there was a dementor stationed at all times right next to his cell. But one day, he'd try... "Malfoy, you have a visit," a guard growled.

Briana, cloaked and hood up, had followed the head guard to the cell she sought. While Philip and she had only a passing fling long ago, hearing he was locked up in a place such as this chilled her unbeating heart. She knew he was a criminal, it was no secret, but still... She felt a little something for him that she never thought she would. Briana wanted to see him, maybe for the last time, just to give him a little light in a dark place...

As the guard announced her arrival, she kept her midnight blue hood up, concealing her features as she waited for Philip to acknowledge her. Briana could only hope that he would instead of simply remaining silent and she leaving without him seeing or speaking to her...

"Now let go of the bars will you," Another guard growled and Philip whipped his head to the side, growling and salivating placing his head between the bars and trying to reach him with his mouth, "As soon as you pry them from my cold, dead fingers," he growled hungrily and the guards shook their head and left, "Who the fuck are you and what the fuck do you want," he asked inhaling the scent of the woman that stood next to his cell. It was a familiar scent he had never lost track of, but still his sensory abilities were already damaged as it was from his stay on that prison, so it was normal he didn't remember Briana just from her smell.

The near feral voice of Philip was almost enough to make Birana remove her hood without a second thought, but she resisted. It wasn't until he lashed out at her, not knowing her at all, it seemed, that she finally brought her hood down. Her blonde hair was down and draped neatly around her shoulders. She hadn't aged a day since the last time she saw Philip, as was part of her being what she was. As her brilliant blue eyes looked into his, she spoke softly, "A friend who seeks to bring you company..."

He softened slightly as he laid eyes on the woman that had been there off and on when he needed her. More often than not he had found that she was a true friend he could rely on much like Alchemy, "Briana..." he whispered his rugged voice returning to his once, beautiful and calm one.

Hearing his voice return to the voice she knew, Briana smiled gently and nodded, sighing softly. "That's right, Philip," she cooed to him. As odd as it seemed, he was a friend that she held dear to her heart. True, their meeting and coming together as friends was unique, but they were unique themselves. He was someone she never hesitated to call for anything. Stepping to the bars, she reached out and placed her cool hands on his, very much against what the guards had advised her. She didn't care, though. Even here, in this horrific place, Briana trusted him. "It pains me to see you in this place..." she said softly.

Turning to stare at the wall Philip took a second to breathe deeply, Philip sighed and looked over his shoulder, "What are you doing here?" he asked with a growl.

Swallowing dryly at his growl of a question, Briana kept her hands on his and answered, "I thought to bring you some light in this dark place. You're... You're a friend, Philip..." It pained her to see him behind bars. She knew what he was put there for, but it still didn't change that she didn't want him there.

Swatting her hand away he turned back to her his eyes showing that he was not in the mood to have a fun talk, "If it pains you to see me in here so much do us both a favor and destroy the bars," he snarled reminding the little blonde that she had enhanced strength.

Pulling her hand back as he swatted it away, Briana's jaw flexed at his request. "I cannot. I could and I want to, but I can't. I shouldn't have said that, Philip. How about this, I wanted to come and give you some company," she said, amending her previous statement. The last thing Briana wanted was to upset him. It was hard for her to see him caged, but her hands were tied as to do anything about it other then let him out. She couldn't...

"I do not require the company of the likes of you. I do not require anyone's company. Either get me out or leave," he growled not caring about anything other than his freedom so he could go after Alastor Moody, and put an end to the bastard's life once and for all.

Philip's words stung her as she stood there. In that moment, Briana wished there was something she could do, anything at all... "This horrific place has changed you so quickly..." she nearly hissed, the hurt of his words to her light but apparent. "You are my friend, Philip. I thought you would enjoy seeing a friendly face," Briana said firmly. If she wasn't a professor, wasn't with an auror, maybe... Just maybe, she would act as he wished of her, as she wished in some small part of herself, to do.

His growls were gradually becoming louder, even disrupting some of the other inmates, "This place has done nothing to me," he snarled banging on the bars, "But you are not my friend if you are forcing me to stay here while my children die on the outside," he spat.

His growls and hard words, even his banging on the bars, did nothing to rattle the calm that surrounded Briana. Her brilliant blue eyes turned to ice as she chose her words wisely. Leveling her eyes with his, Briana said softly, dangerously calm, the killer she could be glimmering on the surface, "I am your friend. Life has not been kind to you as of late, Philip Malfoy, but don't you dare say that I am no longer your friend." Looking away, she pulled out a white handkerchief, the edges lined with blue and green ribbon, that held something for him from her pocket and carefully set it on the crossbar of his cell a few bars away from where he gripped the iron. "Your sons thrive, Philip. Maybe... We can meet again...as friends," Briana said coldly, but her eyes warmed as she turned to walk away, her fingers lingering on the item she had left for him. Letting her blue eyes linger on him for a moment longer, she dropped her hand and walked away...

"Come back you undead harlot, free me, or you can be sure I'll be coming for you once I escape!" Philip warned his yells echoing throughout the prison making the other prisoners yell and growl at Briana as she passed by. Looking to his side he bent over and picked the handkerchief, only to stuff it in his pocket, along with the picture, as he continued to bang on the bars. He would only be happy once that photo with his sons also had him there, so he could protect the children. His children.
