Let the bird fly (Hekate, M)

Falcon sat next to a tree reading from a book about the fabrics of the ancient swords, and the most intriguing one was the goblin made sword which was made of enchanted flexible steel. He wondered just where he'd find a sword like that nowadays but stopped his mind from wondering any further and returned to the book.

"Next week we will meet to do drills" Dominic said to the other quidditch players. Nodding Hekate seperated from the others and stowed her broom. After showering she tied up her hair and wearing shorts and a hoodie she walked away from the pitch and towards the woods allowing herself to relax for the first time in weeks.

Apollo was worried about her and about the two of them in general, after a serious blow to the head during practice last week things werent feeling right. She kept to herself alot lately which is why a walk in the forest was a better idea then going to the common room.

Slipping into the trees she began to wander when she saw a long shape leaning against a tree. Approaching from behind she recognized Falcon's spikey hair, silently she leaned over looking at the book "Whatcha readin?"

Falcon had heard someone approaching but in fact, he was no child, he could defend himself. He closed the book and took a deep breath, before the person spoke to him. Smiling happily he looked over his shoulder stealing a kiss from the girl, "Swords...and stuff," he joked.

She smiled at him and slid to sit next to him taking the book from his hands she flipped it open "metal that can bend" she said raising an eyebrow "what are you some knight in shining armor? she teased.

He shrugged and didn't drop his grin instead begin looking at her fondly, caressing her cheek with his thumb, "You can say that," he answered brightly, "How have you been?" he asked leaning onto her.

Leaning into his gentle hand she shrugged "its been a rough few weeks..missed you though," she bit her lip a bit "is that silly?"

He couldn't stop chuckling at her question because if she had missed him he didn't know what to say about what he felt, "Silly?" he kissed her forehead, "Nah," he added. "Everything alright?"

"took a bludger to the head in practice week an a half ago, blacked out for about two days, all's well save for more migraines then usual...and apollo being strange." she played with his free hand twining there fingers then untwining them, "what have you been up to? other then being a knight in shining armour"

His eyes widened and he instantly embraced her clenching his jaw because he knew he should've been there, she probably needed him there and he failed her. "I'm sorry... I wasn't there... will he be okay?" he asked. Deep down Falcon now loved only Hekate but he cared for Apollo, he was a part of the woman Falcon wanted and he not only accepted but embraced that. "Nothing much...just, reading," he added.

Tell him.. hekate grimaced a bit as apollo's voice rang through her head. They had been through this a thousand times, arguing over the fact she desperately wanted falcon but she didn't want to drag him into her fucked up life. "its okay" she said nuzzling him then putting a bit of space between there two bodies "and yeah he'll recover my head is where he lives he'll heal"

Falcon felt a slight passing pain in his chest as she distanced herself from him. He didn't comment her move nor did he speak up he only nodded and gave her a weak smile telling her he was happy Apollo would be alright, but afterwards, dropped his head. "I'm glad..."

Folding her legs under herself she looked at him as he dropped her head "look what you did hekate, he's sad" she frowned a bit and shook her head "stop this or i'm speaking up" she grit her teeth a bit "F..falcon" she stammered a bit lowering her eyes "would it be foolish to assume you care about me?"

He instantly shook his head at her question "N-No," he answered simply trying not to stutter, "I care for you," he trying giving her a wider smile but failed miserably.

She pulled her hood over her head and looked at the ground trying to hide "I've made the most terrible mistake.." she said "i've fallen in love with you and i don't want to admit it"

He took a deep breath this one brought in a fresh breeze along with a sensation of relaxation at her words. Turning to her with a more softer touch he pulled her hood down, "You mean... you made the same mistake as me? he grinned.

She resisted the urge to shrink away fearfully "Why would you do that? fall in love with a girl who hears voices and has a fucked up family.."

Falcon raised a fist and rested it on the three, sighing, "Your heart doesn't chose who it falls in love with," he answered simply.

She looked at him for a solid minute unspeaking before raising a hand to touch his chin gently, her hands shook slightly though she'd done this before so many times. "I love you Falcon" she whispered softly before leaning in to kiss him gently, timidly.

Leaning in as well he crushed her lips hungrily, he was sure he wanted this he had no doubts sometimes he was shy sometimes he was not, this time he was being bold and wasn't backing down. The girl in front of him would be his, no matter what, she could be a slytherin, a mulciber, whatever. He loved her all the same, "I love you too..." he whispered.

Wrapping her arms around his neck she kissed his lips like she hadn't in the past, this time with love and passion letting her true emotions shine through. He was different and she didn't care she wanted him to be hers and he would be.

Stopping for a moment, breaking their kiss softly, he looked into her eyes, "Does Apollo want this?" he asked trying to find the male he had taken a liking to in her eyes.
