Reading you like a book. Empty Reading you like a book.

Dante was in the mood to do a little light reading and by that he was skipping class, he was walking of the rows of books lightly brushing his fingers over the spins of the volumes. Some older some newer but soon his finger tips found a pleasant and familiar feel of leather old leather. Looking down his eyes found the book that his fingers rested on, it was old indeed but how old he pondered.

Carmen was relieved that it was her study period. Not that she needed it for study, but it was the one amount of time per week that she could just sit in the library and read. For the past three years, she'd made an effort to read a row of books per year. Her row for her fourth year, seemed to be occupied though. The boy in question was striking, but what drew her attention the most was the book that his fingers rested on. "I swear that this library holds more old books than modern ones. I, personally, love it."

A smile spread over Dante's face, "this library holds more than old books." he said in a whisper of a voice, turning he smiles at the girl, it was not a real smile but a smile none the less. He removed the book from the shelf and held it in one hand and ran his hand over the cover with the other. "It's beautiful isn't it," he said with a smile.[/color]

Carmen returned the boy's smile, and nodded, "That's true." She watched as he took the book from its place on the shelf, and her gaze fell upon the details that spread across the book's cover. The smell of leather and parchment had always been one of her favourite scents, and the old tome in front of her paid good on that promise. "It is.." Carmen said, dragging her eyes from the book to the boy again. "Do you have study period, too?"

At the girls question a sly smile carved its self into Dante's face, "you could say that." He said as he placed the book back on the shelf and turning back to the girl, "I am taking a breather," He said as he moved closer to the girl, she appeared to be in Ravenclaw and a about his age but he wasn't sure. "Where are my manners, I am Dante, Dante Spardason." he said giving the girl a small bow.

Carmen raised an eyebrow and smirked, looking the boy over before stating, "You're cutting class?" She would admit that she had been one to cut class from time to time. Usually it was Divination, which she had had the thought to cut out this year and take on something more useful. When he introduced himself, she smiled and nodded, "It's nice to meet you Dante. I'm Carmen." She looked at the book that he had returned to the shelf for a moment, before sighing. She would read it when she got to that place in the shelf. Instead, she took the book on the very left of the row and held it to her chest. "Do you like to read? Or are you just hiding out in here?"
