Alive An Kickin (PG-13) (Magnus)

Chase slid down the icey path from her home, her feet taking her towards the forest. She carried a kitchen knife in her boot, she didn't wanbt to be a victim anymore she didnt want Malphas to always have the upper hand. Walking towards the woods that surrounded Merlin's court she sighed, since the attack and losing her hand she had been much more cautious. Now she was just angry...very angry. Nearing the frozen lake hidden by the trees she spotted someone sitting alone, slipping the knife from her boot she crept up and recognized Mal's jacket. Running as fast as she could she got up behind him and pressed the blade to his throat her new bionic hand crushing his wind pipe "I wont let you fucking hurt me anymore" she growled.

Magnus was sitting on a rock near the lake, there was a light snow in the air and fresh powder on the ground. This was one place Magnus could get away from his over bearing father, he was wearing black combat boots with blue jeans a sleeveless shirt and his brothers jacket. Magnus was drawling int he sand when he felt the cold steel of a blade being pressed against his throat. After the person holding blade spoke Magnus gave them no chance, Magnus used all his strength slamming the back of his head into the soft under part of his attackers jaw braking lose from the hold the person had on him. Turning he drew his wand and summoned a small blizzard, "lets see how you do when your the one who cant see." He hissed in a whisper that carried through the storm.

Blinded by pain she fell backwards, struggling to her feet she grabbed her wand from its place on her hip and making a small shield she waited for the snow to fall away. It kept pushing at her and with a cry of frustration she yelled "INCENDIO" a ball of fire burst from the wand fueled by all the pain and hatred she felt for the boy.

Magnus dances to the side as the fire ball came rawring past him, "your going to have to do better then that." He said as he waved his wand making the wind blow harder and the snow turn to hail. He cut his way through the storm until he was right behind the girl and whispered boo in her ear.

Screaming she turned her metal hand slamming him in the face, her heart beat pounded fast all she could think was not again..

Magnus felt what was like metal slam into his face, he feel back stunned but soon recovered now he was mad. With a wave of anger he brought the once raging storm to a stand still, but he wouldn't give the girl a chance no sooner was the storm over another on started. Magnus was now holding two wands and sending one spell after the other at the girl in a violent flurry.

Her fear conquered her rage and she turned to run when a spell slammed into her back sending her flying to the snow. Shaking with fear she cried out in pain as another spell hit her, covering her head with her hands she lied in a ball her eyes screwed shut as she waited for malphas to beat her again.

Magnus's rage quickly settles when he saw the girl hit the ground, stopping the onslaught of spells he replaced his wands and started his way over to the girl. "What is you reasions for being here," he asked as he stretched out his hand to help the girl up.

Chase' eyes snapped open when he spoke, looking up slowly she realized "y..your not mal.." she whispered horror sinking into her skidding across the ground she stumbled to her feet. "p.please don't hurt me.."

Magnus could tell something was wrong with this girl the fear that flashed in her eyes was not put there by the cat fight thy just had. Laying a hand on her shoulder and with all his might Magnus smiled, "I am not going to hurt you." he said as he reached for her hand and helped her up to her feet.

She got to her feet and shuffled back a bit "..b..but yo.your Malphas' brother..." she whispered

"I am his brother not him, why do you fear himso?" he asked the girl as he offered her a seat on the soft snow.

She wanted to explain why she was so afraid of malphas but words failed her. With shaking hands she turned her back and held the hem of her shirt up where the angry scars of the letter M with a S above it sat on the majority of her back. Giving him a moment to see his brother's mark she dropped the edge of her shirt and sat down close but not directly next to him, pulling her collar aside she showed him the G scar over her heart. Looking away her dark hair in her face she said "thats why.."

Magnus looked as the girl showed him the makes left by his brother, Magnus almost felt sorry for this girl but he knew that was a weakness he would not have. So he closed his heart, "he can be cruel sometimes." He said in a stiff voice.

She rolled down her sleeve revealing her metal arm "I dont think cruel is quite the definition" she said

"It is he is just well his fathers sun," Magnus said as he looked at the girls arm. Standing up he offered the girl his hand, "come on lets get somewhere warm." he said and waited for her to take his hand.

Looking at him warily she accepted his hand, using her flesh and blood hand. "Don't tell him you saw me..he'd kill me.." she murmured unsure if she could trust the boy.

"He wan't lay another hand on you," Magnus said with a small smile and lead her off in to the woods to a near by pub.

She followed him towards the pub "Your Magnus right?" she said looking at there hands he was being so gentle so unlike malphas. "I dont think your brother would listen to you"

Magnus chuckled as he opened the door to the small pub and showed her to her seat, leaving her for a moment to talk the the barman he soon returned with two large mugs of hot chocolate. "Here you go," he said as he sat down and sat one of the mugs in front of the girl. "Your right he wouldn't but he wouldn't hurt me ether," he said with a sly smile. Taking a small sip of the drink he sat it down, "so you seem to know my name but I do not know yours, may I know your name?" He said letting the question linger in the air.

She lowered her eyes looking into the drink "..um ..my name is Bri" she whispered giving him her mother's name instead.

Magnus raised his eyebrow, somehow he felt that she wasn't telling him the truth if that was true or not he did not know. Taking another sip he forced a smile, "that is a very pretty name." The smile slowly faded as he lifted the mug and took another drink.

She watched him carefully, she felt like she should doubt him but he was being so kind, "Why is your smile always fake?" she said without thinkng.

Magnus looking at the girl his dark eye's piercing through her, "because there is nothing to smile about." He said as he sat down his mug, "why did you lie about your name?" He asked as he looked at her.

Her cheeks flushed scarlet and she dropped her eyes to the table again "..i dont want malphas to know you saw me.." she whispered with shame.
