Lesson Two

Jocelyn felt more proud, she thought that no one saw what she did but the professor had seen it and he gave her a compliment.

"Thank you professor." She said to him and practiced a little bit more.

Elija smiled down proudly at his young Ravenclaw and awarded him five points as well. "Very good, Mr. Lovegood. Keep up the good work." he said. Then moved on to the next student.

Severus stared at the toad in front of him in disgust. Why they would have to learn somethng as useless as transfiguring an animal into a water goblet was beyond him and he snorted annoyed. Whoever thought of this spell was a complete idiot in his eyes, but he knew he at least had to try it, so Severus got out his wand and incanted "Colloshoo!". The toad blinked stupidly at him, as it realized that it couldn't move anymore and Severus sneered down at it.
Then he hit the creature with his wand lightly three times and pointed his wand at it. "Vera verto!" he said under his breath and watched bored as the toad turned into the goblet as expected.
With a sigh, Severus looked up and around the classroom.

Marvolo looked over at Severus and chuckled "having a bit to much fun are we?" she said lightly, she looked at the toad, of which made a soft croaking noise. Picking her wand up from where she had placed it on her desk she performed the spell, the toad turned into a smooth goblet, tapping the side of the goblet she murmured "augmenti" then picking up the goblet she sipped from it.

Severus looked over to the girl with a raised eyebrow and snorted. "Why yes, don't you find it most amusing?" he asked in a low sarcastic tone. He watched her perform the spell equally flawlessly and smirked slightly, maybe she wasn't so bad after all.
"Urg... you drink from it? Don't you wonder which part of the toad you have in your mouth right now?" Severus shook his head. He also hated to drink configured water as it tasted a bit stale, but from a goblet that had been a slimey toad before? "Urg..." he gagged again.

Selena had been sitting in the back row of the class and listened captivated to her new professor. She really enjoyed studying and Transfiguration was one of her favourite classes. Selena chuckled when the toad landed on her desk and pulled out her wand with a smirk. She tipped the animal with it three times and then said "Vera verto!".
It changed into a water goblet, though when she touched it, it still felt a bit slimy. "Aww no..." the young Gryffindor pouted.
Looking at the other students, she rolled her eyes when she noticed two Slytherins chatting next to her.

Sirius was sitting on the back of the classroom, close to another Gryffindor. Vera Verto? This is simply to easy. Sirius thought. He watched as the toad arrived in front of him. "Poor little guy." Sirius placed his wand on top of the toad. He tapped his wand onto the toad's back, and then muttered, pointing the wand at the toad. "Vera Verto!" The toad began to, slowly, change it's form. First, its color changed, giving it a silverish tone. Then, his form began changing, as Sirius watched. Soon, that toad was turned into a water goblet. "As I said...too easy!" Sirius uttered.

Elija stopped next to the two Slytherins that were chatting quietly. Although he would normally forbid such behaviour, this week was a practical class and he would go easy on them. "Miss Gaunt, Mr Snape, well done. Five points to each of you." he said nodding to himself.
"For you as well, Miss Black. Though I expect for a fourth year, it's more a repetition, correct?" Elija knew that most of the older students had no problem with such transfiguration spells, but for the younger ones, they needed the practice.
"Don't give up, Miss Winter, you did very well for your first try." he told her and changed the goblet back into a toad, so she could try it again.
Elija stopped behind another Gryffindor and observed as the boy cast the spell flawlessly. "Very good, Mr Black. You also earned yourself five points for you House." Letting his eyes travel over the students, Elija thought about what homework to assign them.

Close to Sirius, was James, pointing his wand at the toad, and making it float. "Might as well do this. Vera Verto." The toad turned into a water goblet while it was on the air. It landed in front of James. "Ta-Daa!"

"Well done, Mr Potter. Five points for you as well." Walking to the front of the classroom, Elija raised his voice slightly to catch his students' attention. "So, you all did very well today and manged to earn your house some well deserved points."
With a flick of his wand the homework appeared on the blackboard. "For your homework, I expect you to write an essay about Transformation and it's subtypes. Then, I want you to pick one spell from that branch and memorize the most important details about it. In our next lesson, you will then tell the rest of the class about your spell. Homework has to be handed in till the start of next lesson, and no copying!"
With that, Elija waved his hand and the door jumped open. "Class dismissed."

Eric took down his homework into his homework planner. He wasn't to happy with an essay then again he was never happy if he got homework. He picked up his bag and left the class room, dropping his bag in the corridor he headed out into the grounds for some fresh air.

Sirius heard the homework assignments. He didn't write them down. He'd just say a certain dog had eaten his essay. He put away his wand and walked out of the classroom. He looked back before leaving. "You coming James?"

When the toad landed on Morgan's desk, she smiled. "Vera verto," she said as she did the proper wand movement. The toad elegantly turned into a rather fancy water goblet. She looked at the Professor and smiled, awaiting word about her word.

Jocelyn wrote down her homework and decided that she was going to make it right away, she always thought that this lesson was dull and not really important but now she read a couple of things out of it she liked it more now. She stuffed her stuff into her book bag and walked out of the classroom.
