Lion Hearts (Ricardo) [PG-13]

Harry had been walking around the castle, getting familiar with everything. He stepped through a door, and came out on the 3rd floor corridor. As he passed by, he bumped into a tall, blonde, sharp looking gryffindor, "Sorry," Harry said nervously as he turned to the boy.

"Well if it ain't Harry Potter, the boy who lived," Ricardo half teased, as he smiled, "We're from the same house bud, no need to be so nervous around me," Ricky sang out as he placed a hand on Harry's shoulder, "C'mon, let's walk as we talk," he said and laughed at his own rhyme.

Harry smiled warmly at the way Ricardo seemed to not mind the bump. If it was a Slytherin, he'd be in trouble, that was for sure. "Well, let's start by you telling me your name," Harry said as he smirked up at Ricky.

Ricky laughed out loud, and then turned serious, "Name's Ricardo da Costa. Ricky for friends!" He responded. Harry didn't need to say his name, as Ricky had known it ever since the sorting ceremony. It had been only about a week since then, but Ricky couldn't forget something like the name of Harry Potter.

"Awesome, Ricky. It's cool we're both from the same house," Harry said, kinda repeating what Ricardo had said, to sound like he knew a bit about Hogwarts. In fact, he knew close to nothing, and wished he knew more.

"So, why are you so famous?" Ricky asked nearly instantly after Harry went quiet. It was something that had been 'bothering' Ricardo, since he still didn't know why Harry Potter was so famous, and why his nickname was 'the boy who lived'.

Harry's eyes widened a tad bit, but then he sighed, "To be honest...I don't know that well...all I know is that I survived Vold....You-Know-Who...and I gained his scar," Harry said, as he lifted his hair bangs, showing the famous scar.

"Wow, that scar is so cool!" Ricardo said as he inspected it closely, "Can I touch it?" he asked with a grin.

Harry nodded slowly, as if he was unsure, "Go ahead," no one had touched his scar before, not that he didn't let them, only because they never asked.

Ricardo lifted a hand and extended his index finger, pushing Harry's head slightly backwards. He then formed a gun-like form with his fingers, "Bang," he said with  a chuckle.

Harry felt like a lighting bolt struck his forehead, but held his groans back. His scar burned slightly, but he didn't let any scream escape, "Haha..." he chuckled hiding his pain.

"So," Ricky started as his fingers fell down from Harry's forehead, "Any favorite subject so far?" Ricardo asked.

"Well, I like DADA...you know, Quirrel ain't the worse professor," Harry said as he chuckled at the thought of that weirdo of a professor.

"DADA huh? I prefer Potions..." He drawled, and had a serious expression. "Alright I'm joking," Ricardo said and put on a wide smile, "I really like Care of Magical Creatures," he then said, honestly.

"Yeah, Professor Snape is huh...well, not very friendly. I like professor Carrow as well though," Harry admitted, as they kept walking.

"Yeah, Prof Carrow is pretty slick. Tho' he's sorta of scary sometimes. Ya know, when his shadow towers over you...I pretty much need new underwear whenever that happens," Ricky joked as they approached the door to the stairs.

"I know what you mean, he's a big lug," Harry sang as he grinned widely.

Harry shrugged, "I don't even know where I was going before...but I guess up," he then yawned. Harry had already eaten, so he was ready to go catch some z's.

"Alright then, I'm gonna go eat something, see ya on the flip side," Ricardo said happily as he slid down a set of the stairs, and Harry began to climb them.
