Room of Bruce Carrow

Bruce laid in his bed, with several bandages around his body. His back, his arm, his forehead. The most shocking thing anyone could notice was his lack of left hand. It had been amputated for good measure, after how disfigured it was. He was already awake, and could only think about leaving the hospital.

Marvolo accepted treatment and her back was stiched up, due to the fact the blades were cursed she would be scared. Her eyes were full of black rage for what she had seen at the battle field and she was ready to strike back. The healer sewed a cut on her face closed on that almost hit her eye, as soon as she was done she stood up and grabbed Bruce's coat from his things they had taken and put it on. Leaving the room she walked down the halls, nurses and healers avoided her as she moved she was covered in dirt and blood and hardly resembled the nice girl she could be.

Opening the door to her beloved's room she sighed with quiet releif that he was awake. "Hello love" she said

Bruce tilted his head towards the doorway, not even budging a smirk, "Hey," he greeted her, before sighing with pain and tiredness.

She walked over and kissed him gently on the lips, "Your going to be ashamed of me on top of your anger at this whole fiasco" she said without pre amble

"Ashamed? Why would I be ashamed?" he questioned her, clenching his remaining fist, thinking of the things he'd do to Marcus and Fenix once he discovered where the rats were hiding.

"He was going to kill morgan" she said her voice hard with anger "he ordered I kneel or she dies, I knelt and accepted the torture he rendered."

Opening his fist, he took one of her hands, kissing it softly, "That I can understand...if it were you or Dragon or one of my closest friends in a position similar I'd kneel as well," he said, trying to sound understanding. This, he could forgive and not feel shame. It meant Marvolo had a heart, and Bruce wasn't ashamed of that. The Felix situation was different, so he could accept this.

If possible she felt herself fall in love with him even more at his understanding words, she leaned over him and hugged him gently careful not to touch his wounds "I barely stopped them from ending you" she said her voice muffled because she had her face in the crook of his neck "I summoned snakes to surround you while we fought, truly i couldnt stand the idea of losing you i'm glad he was distracted with me. I know i was his target and taking away my love would have been to good for him" she kissed his cheek several times wishing she could squeeze him into a tighter hug.

Bruce sighed, "I think Marcus wasn't looking to kill me...otherwise, he could've done it...Marvolo, I think he simply wanted to destroy you..." he said, clenching his jaw afterwards. Touching him was one thing, but touching his fiancee. The Shadows had gone too far. Changing the subject, he asked, "How many students died?"

"Thirty in total, we lost the brave heart twins amongst it all, my uncle will be furious when he hears about all this" she rubbed her eyes "I'm going to see Thane and Dragon we need to strategize on protection before we move forward with a counter strike, I've sent your mother away with Malphas because i know marcus wants to kill our son because I killed his. so Shayera and Malphas are in the wind for now."

"That's good, I don't want my son endangered. Lord Voldemort ordered you to kill Felix, and so you did. If they should be trying to have revenge on someone, they should damn well try to hunt down your uncle. Who'd most likely destroy them with one finger," Bruce shook his head, finally letting a grin hit his face. "Speak with Sirius too. I know he'll want to have something to do with this. Hurt me, hurt you, hurt Regulus, Lupin, Tonks and Kronos...I'm pretty sure Sirius will have something to say about that. And he'll probably bring his...urgh, friend around. I didn't want to say this, but Potter would also be a great help. Along with Remus, whom I'm sure will help after what happened to Morgan," he said.

She nodded as he spoke, gingerly her fingers touched his arm where his hand once was "once this has healed we'll get you a new hand.." she said "you should be here only a few days"

a knock on the door turned her attention to a man who stepped into the room "Nott, i am glad you got here so promptly" the death eater nodded curtly "M'am i assembled five men as you requested" "good i want twenty four hour guards on this room. they know that one man alone cannot take my fiancee down so they would send a squad if they wanted to harm him"

with a nod the man said "Understood m'lady we'll be posted outside at all times" as the interuption left she laid on his chest gently hiding her face in his neck her hands loosly on his shoulders "I hate the idea of being away from you after the attack" she confessed.

With his remaining hand, he played with her hair, and sighed, "It's needed. I'll be out of here in no time, and after that, we can be together again. Just know one thing Marvolo, once I get out of here, I won't lay in my bed resting. The first thing I'll do, is track the Shadows down, and end them!" he said, looking at his arm, where once, his hand laid.

She kissed his cheek and sat up so she looked into his eyes a gentle hand on his face "there deaths will be painful and we shall make sure that they are not forgotten but remembered for the fools they were to do this to us."

He smiled at her determination. However, those fools sure did a number on Bruce, and their plan was proceeding. What if they won? Who'd be the fools then? "I'm just...this all, clearly was to send a message. But why....why didn't they just end us. It'd cause the Grimms even more pain. They had the opportunity. I could be dead. But I'm not," Bruce wondered.
