How'd you Do (Jericho, Invite Only)

Stephan sat behind Jericho's desk, with the chair's back facing the desk, so once Young came in, he wouldn't notice Stephan was there right of the bat. With his leg crossed, Stephan held his wand, twirling it in his hand, while holding a glass of scotch in the other hand.

While Lord Voldemort was busy with his personal affairs, Stephan was doing everything. Gathering followers, assigning death eater tasks. Although he felt as if his master should do more, he understood that it was his duty to do what he was doing. But that was why he was in Jericho's office at the time. The things he was doing. Jericho, at the position he was in, and with Moody always clinging onto his ear, was bound to hear something about what Stephan did. And Avery was there to find out just how much he knew...

Jericho flung the door to his office open, letting it hit the wall behind it, and bounce off, shutting itself. Taking his leather jacket, he tossed it onto his sofa before pinching the bridge of his nose and exhaling heavily. He had heard rumors about his friend Stephan, and, while he didn't want to believe what he heard, a part of him already knew they were true. Letting his hand fall, he turned to his desk and put a hand on the back of his chair, turning it to face him so he could sit. "Stephan..." he said, not expecting to see him, but not surprised to see him sitting in his chair.

Seeing his friend's wand in one hand and a drink in the other, Jericho took mental note that his wand was sheathed in his pants' pocket. Opening his desk drawer, he took out a tumbler and the bottle he kept for rougher days. Pouring himself a drink, he watched Stephan closely. "Still after my chair, huh?" Jericho joked, lightly.

As Jericho entered the room, Stephan instantly narrowed his eyes, and let a grin form, but it soon vanished. Taking another sip of the scotch, Stephan contemplated if killing Jericho would be for the best. He'd suffer much less, and no one would be hurt by his death, since Joelle had perished. Of course, Stephan was his friend, but he had Thane, Dragon and Bruce now.

As Jericho placed his hand on the chair, and turned it around, Stephan exhaled quickly, before his face lost emotion. "Hello...", he greeted Young, before chugging down the rest of his scotch. "Me? After your chair? Ha..." Stephan stated, letting out a chuckle, but his face never showed happiness. 

"So, how much has Alastor told you about me?", he asked, his tone coming out a bit more loud.

Drinking the drink he had poured, Jericho backed away from his desk and leaned against the closed door to his office. Stephan's question was one that he had hoped he wouldn't have to answer, ever, with him. They were friends, but the news that Moody was feeding him threatened to destroy that. Drawing a deep breath and exhaling in a heavy sigh, Jericho looked at the man sitting in his chair. "I think you might know what all Moody has told me about you, Stephan. If what he tells me is true..." he said in low tones. The worst of the worst was pretty much what everything came down to with everything Moody had told him. Moody had never lied to him, and he knew that Stephan always had favored the dark arts over anything else.... But, that didn't change that a part of him didn't want to believe what he was told....

"In other words," Stephan began, as he got up from the chair, "That fatass has told you how many innocents I've burned alive, how many mudbloods I've slain, how many wives of aurors I've killed..." he said, letting out a subtle hint that Jericho could easily get to if he was paying attention. "Basically, he has been telling you the truth. I am the right hand of Lord Voldemort!" Stephan said proudly, hitting the table with his now close fists, never letting go of his wand, "What do you think of that, Jericho?", Stephan inquired.

Jericho set his jaw firmly as everything he said confirmed what Moody had told him. But, something he said made his brow furrow. ...how many wives of aurors I've killed... Jericho knew that Philip had been the one to take Joelle... But who had hired.... Slowly raising his blue eyes, now cold as ice, to Stephan, he growled, "You mean, you were behind..." He wasn't able to finish.... He simply couldn't accept that his best friend would do something so heartless as taking the love of his life away.

"You know, it doesn't surprise me that you would pick them over the rest of us..." he spat, slipping his hand into his pocket, his finger-tips touching his wand. "Why throw your lot in with them?" he asked simply.
