Example Role-play (100 words min.): Dominic sat in his livingroom amidst dim candlelight, a heavy tome propped open against one knee, and a parchment and quill perched upon the other. He had had to pre-order this book from Flourish and Blotts. Merlin, did Dom pay a pretty sum of galleons for it, too. It was the wizard’s hope that this idea of his worked as well as he had planned it out in his head. So far in his reading it all seemed plausible...

He absently traced an Egyptian hieroglyph he didn't know with his finger. What in Merlin’s name did it mean? Learning to read hieroglyphs been one of his boyhood obsessions, and now his mind had gone blank for the translation. Was it a misprint? Dominic looked at his notes and realized that, for this particular spell, it was in a spot that was too crucial to simply disregard the symbol. ”Zekhme’ urdalag qelak’nim!” he snarled. Dominic cast a drying spell on his ink, shoved the translation parchments into the book to mark his place, and slammed it closed. “That can’t be an error...” The wizard stood and strode to his bookshelf, now on a search to learn or re-learn the strange glyph. One way or another, he would find out what it meant.
