Table For One (Amelia) Empty Table For One (Amelia)

Post by Guest Mon Jul 15, 2013 1:47 pm

It seemed as the Inn was better than the last time Philip had visited it. Since then, he had nearly massacred every one on the inside. He wasn't gonna even try to hide that. It was extremely pleasing. He sat alone on a table, drinking a classic butter beer. His mind was still processing everything. The way he was able to withstand Moody, but couldn't fight Jericho head on afterwards. Although knowing he made him mad, made Philip much more content. His thoughts still circled Victor. As his friend had already perished. But yet, he didn't care. He was simply thinking of why he was so loyal to Amelia, when she mostly didn't care for him. A most intriguing matter.

Amelia entered the place and looked around, when she saw Philip sitting at the table, alone and with butterbeer. She smirked and approached him with her typical elegance and arrogant aura. "Would you mind if I join you, mr Malfoy?" she asked with that seductive smile of hers.

Philip looked up. As that day passed by his mind, Amelia had to appear. He couldn't say he was displeased. She wasn't hard on the eyes. The contrary actually. He set the glass down on the table, and chuckled internally. "Why not? It seems the only other chair next to my table is empty. Go ahead and sit down Miss Amelia." Philip was usually polite to Amelia, and always tried to respect the boundaries of his relationship with his, what he could call, boss. "Want to drink anything other than blood?" He asked, in a very low tone.

Amelia had to smirk, when he mentioned blood. "Firewhiskey, please," she replied and turned smirk into smile again. "I hope my and mr Salander's, let's call it diet, didn't upset you much last time we saw each other," she started conversation. "I am aware this is not exactly usual in human society, but I am sure you would understand I have quite hard time to get used to civilization again," she explained herself. Not that she cared. And not that she expected him not to know it. But she was raised in different times and even if she lost even that small part of humanity she was born with, she still managed to keep her manners of pureblood lady.

Philip moved his arm in the air, looking back at the bartender. "Firewhiskey for the lady," He said, in a tone that was heard by those who were paying attention. "Let's just say I am not used to seeing such things. But worst things have happened and I haven't been bothered." He answered, looking back at Amelia. "Well, my only advice is to not do such thing in front of people like, well, Dumbledore. I'm sure he wouldn't find it too pleasing!" Philip exclaimed. He was well aware of what Amelia was. As was the rest of Wolfclaw, but Philip didn't exactly know how old this beautiful woman was. He wasn't gonna ask. A matter of manners of course. But even though she seemed to be stone cold, it didn't mean Philip was gonna treat Amelia that way. Specially after what happened with Victor.

Amelia laughed, but her voice was still full of coldness. "Don't worry, I maybe forgot lots of things, but I am not stupid to do such a thing. I know Hogwarts are very different from Wolfclaw. Always have been. Even in my school years. After all, that's why Slytherin left this place," she said and took a sip of firewhiskey. She was quite disappointed from alcohol in England. After centuries in deep Siberia and another centuries before in Bohemia, she had taste for much stronger stuff. "You know, when you spend more than four centuries only with cruel snow storms and group of soldiers colder than ice, you forget easily how world looks outside of battlefield. But there are still things that never change. Like Hogwarts and their headmasters," continued Amelia with hint of disgust.

"Tell me about it..." Philip grunted. "I was away from my brother Abraxas because my father thought Hogwarts was not worthy of me. And I believe he was right. I don't exactly know how Hogwarts works in terms of behavior. Really don't want to. It's bad enough the classes aren't half as good as ours, but having mudbloods in there? Unacceptable." Philip picked up his glass, and drank the rest of the beer. He wasn't in the mood to drink too much. He was a bit tired from running around all the time. "I still don't know how Slytherin didn't put an end to it all. Surely others would help him. As it's gonna happen now, with this new lord." Philip set down his glass, and quickly looked around. No one seemed to have heard. Although he didn't say anything concrete, people could take it somewhere else.

"Things weren't that easy back in his days. We used different kinds of magic. You would probably call them ancient right now. It was powerful magic. Extremely powerful. But usualy with huge consequences. Slytherin was smart enough to look into future. He was very patient, but cruel man, I can tell. His patience allowed him to built amazing things. His cruelty allowed him to make them deadly. His lack of naivity allowed him to let other generations win this fight. But for thousand years, no one step out of the crowd to actually finish what he started," Amelia explained and looked out of the window. How easy was for people talk about old ages, when everything they knew was from what was once written in history books. But she was there. She saw it. All of it. How times were changing. And just like Slytherin himself, even Amelia, one of his best students was more than aware of that fact. She knew even back than that loser now will be later to win. Shame she had to wait thousand years.

"Well, I wish I could've met him. He's not exactly my idol. But now that someone has stepped out of the shadows. Now that someone wants to finish it. Do you think they'll have a chance? The only difference is that...he has followers. And they're growing. That is easily seen. But what will we gain? A world rid of mudbloods. That will be pleasing. But then what? What tells us he isn't gonna try to control the world?" Philip quickly shrugged those thoughts off when he looked at Amelia's face. Why was he beginning to worry about it? She was there. Amelia wasn't exactly weak. At all. "Well I guess I was starting to underestimate you Miss Amelia. You'd end that new lord in seconds. Heck, I still don't know why you didn't take over this world. But then again, if you did, we'd probably never meet. That'd be most unfortunate." He grinned at Amelia. He knew she probably wouldn't care about his small, growing, affection for her. But he still had it within him.

Amelia laughed bitterly. "No life is easy, mr Malfoy. And leaders are eventually all destined to fall. Trust me, I had lot of time to learn this thing. Besides, I don't like being seen. The more people see you, the more of them knows you. And the more of them hates you. It's hard to hide your best tricks once you are seen as the leader. I prefer to be a puppet master. I kept that position for nearly thousand years. I am alive and people have no idea who I really am," she explained and than thought about world without mudbloods. "And to your first question, I don't know if there is a chance. But if there is and we win, wouldn't it be nice for once to live in perfect world? That might last lifetime. At least yours," she smiled at him and took another sip of her drink.

Philip smirked. Having a general idea of how old Amelia at least was, he compared his lifetime to hers. The difference was enormous. He could only laugh, at how fast his life seemed. Even if he wanted to be by Amelia's side, why would she want someone that would perish so quickly. "As I said, I would love living in a world rid of that filthy kind. With powerful woman by my side." He made his intention clear. Not just to try to charm Amelia. He knew he couldn't do that. But having a woman stick by him would be extremely important. "My lifetime is indeed short. That's why I got to think advantage of the good things that come in my short life span. Tell me, miss Amelia, what do you think about the upcoming Yule Ball?"

Amelia narrowed her eyebrow and put on her smirk. "Are you offering yourself to be my escort, mr Malfoy?" she asked and than smiled seductively. She had to admit he was very handsome man. And he was sharp just like this age, which she liked. Of course there were never enough true gentleman from old times, like for example Armen. But the point was always the same. Amelia wanted every man or woman, speak truth. The fact, that she killed half of them afterwards, specialy last century when she had so much fun with russian and japanese mafia, that didn't seem to matter. And Philip was honest. She would love to go with him there.

Philip grinned, as Amelia instantly understood where he wanted to get at. "But of course. I believe there's a big possibility someone has asked you this, but surely you'd prefer me." Philip felt enticed by this woman. He knew other men who knew of her, and were scared of coming close. But he didn't feel that way. He was always exciting by being next to Amelia. It was just how he went. She was a gorgeous woman. And although Amelia wasn't the most friendly person in the world, Philip still thought she felt something for him. Didn't have to be love. Just plain fondness of having him around. "That is, if any other men have sparkled your interest."

"I would love to have you as my escort, mr Malfoy," Amelia replied only and left the rest of his words disappear into silence. Amelia had to admit one thing. This man was lucky he was sexy, because sometimes, the way he spoke, Amelia killed even for less.
