Example Role-play (100 words min.):
Claire was sitting on the beach near her home in England. With a small smile she stared out over the water, a book open in her lap. She'd been reading most of the afternoon but now she just wished the weather would clear. Her mother didn't much like it when she went out with all the rain. All it ever did in England was rain. Claire turned her face to the cloud and a glare shaped on her face. Rain, why always the eternal rain? So maybe it wasn't raining at that moment. If it had been, Claire surely wouldn't have kept her book out to be damaged like that. Her spell books were waiting upstairs for her and she knew it. Although Claire loved magic and honestly couldn't wait to go back to school, she loved being at home, watching the ocean and wondering what was hiding below the surface today. A sigh escaped her lips and Claire closed her book, running to her house to put it away safely.
Just as she stuffed her book in her trunk for Hogwarts, her mother called that dinner was ready. Claire smiled and sprinted down the stairs. Her blond hair was strung up in a ponytail and a bright happy smile was on her face. "Est-ce les fruits de mer?" She asked her mother. "Yes Claire. Please remember to speak English here." Claire nodded quickly but she didn't like all this English. She missed France and she still wondered why she couldn't have gone to Beaubatons Academy. It was a good school right? Not to mention it was right in France so the weather was much better and a lot less wet. Claire pushed the thoughts from her mind as she sat down for dinner, speaking animatedly with her father. Claire loved family dinners, as she was quite fond of the cooking skills of her mother. Her father was a horrible cook but nobody really cared. Claire chuckled and fished her food, giving her father a quick kiss on the cheek before sticking her tongue out at her brother and running out with nothing but a quick "Au revoir!" before she was gone again. Off to take a swim, or that was the plan.
