Welcome Back

Morgan hurried to the Great Hall after dropping off her things in her dorm after the holiday. She was excited to see all her friends from the previous year! Sure, writing to them was wonderful, but it wasn't the same as seeing them. Morgan hoped that she would see them all soon, and catch up with the ones that were super busy all holiday, keeping them from writing. Not only was she excited to see her friends, but she looked forward to the new term and all the adventures they were bound to have.

Morgan took a seat at the Ravenclaw table and opened the book she brought with her to pass the time. She smiled when a cup of hot apple cider appeared in front of her. "Thank you," she whispered to the unseen house elves who produced her favorite drink while she waited.

Severus walked into the great hall and let his eyes wander over the row of students, searching for a familiar face. It had been a summer like always, his mother barely doing anything and his father drinking away their money while Severus tried to get out and find some way to spend his time, now without Lily by his side.
Now back at Hogwarts, he was glad to be able to get back in touch with his friends.
A sly smirk slipped onto his face when he noticed his cousin and quickly slipped up behind her. Then he put his hands over her eyes and said softly "Welcome back, Morgan."

Morgan jumped when a set of hands covered her eyes. She heard a familiar voice in her ear... Welcome back, Morgan. Morgan reached up and pulled the hands from her eyes and turned to look up at her older cousin, Severus. She stood quickly and threw her arms around him. "Welcome back, Severus. I missed you over the summer!" she said hugging him. She broke the hug and asked, "How was your holiday?"

Letting out a surprised laugh, Severus gathered his cousin in his arms and hugged her tightly. "I missed you too, Morgan. My summer was quite dull without anyone to talk to. Most of the time, I just spend outside reading or doing potion research." he told her.
He looked around to see if there were other Ravenclaws around who would mind him at their table and then sat down when he noticed nobody in sight. "What about you? Did you visit Black?" he asked her cautiously.
