Elin looked back into her room for the last time. Making sure that there was nothing left to take, she said a mental goodbye to her room for one last time. She was going to Hogwarts! Excitement built in her as she hauled her trunk down the stairs. “Moooooom! Where are you? I’ll miss the train!” Her mom answered her from the kitchen, “Just a second, Elin! I’m coming!” Emerging from the kitchen, her mom handed her a small bundle. “This is your lunch. It’s your favourite apple tart.” Elin hugged her mom and said “Thanks so much!” “Shall we go now?” her mom said. “Yes!!”

Upon reaching the Platform 9 ¾, Elin happily loaded her trunk onto the Hogwarts Express. Just after that, they heard the train’s whistle signalling departure. Elin threw her arms around her mom and said “I’ll miss you! I’ll write soon, okay?” Rushing back to board the train, she waved enthusiastically to her mom as the train pulled away. Settling down in her seat, she was filled with anticipation. What would Hogwarts be like?
