Years, decades, centuries (Hades)

Amelia felt exhausted after anothr long day of teaching and keeping her mask on. It's been over five decades, since she woke up from horrors of days spent in unbearable physical pain, just to end up in emotional one. It took her months to gather herself together enough to leave the room. But thanks to her age, she somehow made it. And now she basically spent her days pretending nothing changed. Just to keep that heavy crown on, because who else could she trust with her beloved school and land? Maybe the Gaunt twins, in distant future. But the two were still too young and too engaged with current events to do her job. 

Sitting down she mixed some absinthe with werewolf blood, taking double shot for start. She needed to relax, to forget. Alcohol was temporal help for her issues.

Hades waited in Amelia's office, sitting in the rafters like some sort of demonic bat. She watched as the woman walked in and made herself some shots, she smelled of exhaustion and depression. The woman was the closest to him in age next to Dellen, and he appreciated both of them and loved to visit Amelia from time to time. Though work and life had been so busy it had been awhile "long day?" he purred

Amelia was so distracted today,she let down her guard. That, together with alcohol and the fact she did not expect any visitors caused her to jump slightly and fall of her chair. Very queen-like she thought to herself sarcasticaly as she got up, her heels making it slightly more complicated to stand straight. "Hades, hey," she said, pretending the incident did not just happen.

Dropping to the floor he picked her up and placed her on her chair with a chuckle "graceful as always amy" he teased hopping onto her desk he sat back and grabbed a bottle of her blood wine, biting off the cork he drank from it unceremounisouly. "whats on your mind?"

She made a sarcastic chuckle at him. How old was she? She was supposed to know how to walk this shit off. "I forgot, approximately two shots of absinthe ago. But for some reason, I believe that was the point. What brings you here?" she asked him back.

"I heard about the professor who was killed by witch hunters, though my sources wouldnt say who so i wanted to make sure you were alright" he admitted with a shrug.

Amelia sighed. "Travellers couldn't kill me, they were so desperate they hoped I'll get the job done myself. And even that failed. I may be drunk vampire witch with issues, but don't worry old friend, I am not leaving. Not that easily," she told him half bitterly. "But they are problem... the hunters. I think we should take some action before they get the idea that we can be defeated."

"They killed a vampire last month" he said his dark eyes finding hers "they are a problem but i am only half a century older then you and i dont remember a time existing without them"

"Most of the big fish these days were forged in hands of hunters. It's almost ridiculous. They are the reason I am here, right now, like this. I would be history and ash by now otherwise," she said, thinking. "We need to make these filthy cockroaches go back to their dirty holes. They annoy the life out of me," she said, full of hate.

"Ever since i lost cadence i fear  they will take rhea from me too," he confessed his fear for his daughter "those two gave me life" he missed his wife more then anything and the fact she was murdered by hunters still hit him hard.

"They won't," Amelia stated. "Not if I have something to do about it," she added. "Your daughter is under my watch. She is a spider like me. She lives in my lands, goes to my school. And she is dear to you, which gives her special place," she said firmly. First she thought of standing up to give her statement even bigger value, but in the end thought better of it. She shouldn't have gotten drunk.

Hades smiled, a real genuine smile not many witness, leaning towards her he kissed her cheek "thank you Amelia"  sitting back he took one of Amelia's shots and knocked it back with a  chuckle.

Amelia smiled just to frown like a little child shortly after, watching her friend drink her alcohol stock. In the end, she decided she probably had enough anyway and let it go. "We've got to help each other. After all, years, decades, centuries will pass and so will all the people. We are all we will have left in the end."

He nodded as she spoke "that remains true" he said picking her up again he moved to sit in her chair and placed her in his lap with a smirk "you poor thing, too drunk to defend yourself against dangerous old me."

If Amelia was surprised by his actions, she did not show it. Instead she laughed slightly. "I lost the charm of young ladies long ago. Guys usually don't go for old grandma's," she teased.

He grinned at her raising a hand to her face he ran his finger down her jaw "you dont look so old" he teased his finger grazing her bottom lip.

"Just a little magic trick," she replied, unsure where this was heading, but for some reason, she did not want to protest.

He let his hand drop, not wanting to go too far. She was beautiful but also a close friend and he couldnt tell what he felt.

Flash of disappointment and relief in the same time crossed her eyes. As attractive as Hades always was to her, friendships like the one with him were greater. And she would hate herself for ruining it.
