Gloom uprising (open)

It was unusually quiet in the large castle today and even with four schools inhabiting Hogwarts, the halls seemed almost deserted as Violet made her way to the courtyard to get some fresh air. Her siblings seemed to have abandoned her and even her friends were oddly absent. She sighed and ran a hand through her thick black hair as she stepped outside.

The courtyard seemed to be empty and Violet walked over to a bench where she sat down and pulled up her knees to her chest. Her thoughts went towards the upcoming Yule ball which would happen in a few weeks only and she frowned slightly as she thought about still not having a date. Even if she was only a first year, Violet really wanted to go there, but without a boy that would be quite pathetic. She had already thought about going with Sithon as he was her best friend, but so far had not asked him about it.

"Booya!" Lezar shouted into the girl's ear after he had crept up from behind. He had been sitting on the roof of a smaller building for a while now, enjoying the view from above when he had seen the familiar Slytherin enter the courtyard. He remembered her from earlier that year when he was introduced to her. "All by yourself, young Miss Snape? What if a bad man comes by and snatches you away?" he asked with dramatically wide eyes, as if he was quite terrified of something like that happening.

Violet almost jumped out of her skin when someone screamed into her ear and she spun around with a death glare that would make her father proud. It was one of the Wolfclaw students and she rolled her eyes at him. "Lezar, right? Well don't do that again or you will find out just what I do with men that try to snatch me." she told him, smiling sweetly at the boy. She was not some innocent small girl even if she might look like it.

Chelsea was wandering the grounds and saw two people. One from this school a girl and one that was from her school in and in her house. "Your bugging this girl Wilkins" She called her arms crossed by her side as she raised a eyebrow at him. She leaned against a tree and gave a tiny nod to the girl. "Hello girl." She said softly trying not to sound angry.

At her answer, Lezar threw his head back and started laughing loudly. "I like that spirit, love." he chuckled and shook his head in amusement. "How is the rest of the lovely family? Chased them all away have you?" he grinned at her and flopped down on the bench, looking up at the girl when suddenly another voice called over to them. "I would bugger the girl, but I fear I'd get killed then in quite a brutal way." he shouted back, a sick leer directed at the other girl.

Violet growled and punched the other student's shoulder with as much force as she could. "You are so rude, Lezar. Really why don't you get lost?" she gave back, half annoyed, half amused. When another girl approached them, she glanced at her, not quite sure how to react to a Wolfclaw student she didn't know. "Hi..." Violet smiled slightly at her and sat down again.

Chelsea smiled she liked this girl. She didnt give into him like most girls would have. "I like you, your not dumb enough to fall for Wilkins tricks. Names Chelsea Daniels may i ask your" If was rare that she was mean to someone at first glance but this girl seemed cool enough.

"Aww but no, I would not leave you all by yourself. That would be not the gentleman's way." Lezar gave back, still grinning before turning to his house mate. "My tricks?" he touched his heart. "You hurt me, Daniels. I would never trick this fair lady." he winked at Violet and threw his arm around her shoulder.

Violet had to smirk at the other girl's words and she snickered slightly. "Nice to meet you, my name is Violet Snape. And whoever would take Lezar seriously would have to be quite dumb indeed." she said, sticking out her tongue at the boy. "You two know each other then? You are in the same house, right?" Violet asked the girl.

Chelsea smirked and nodded. She sat down on the ground and crossed her legs. "Yes sadly me and him are in the same house he does nothing but trouble" She smirked "Well Violet it is nice to meet you" She rolled her eyes at Lezar and just shook her head at him.

Lezar rolled his eyes and sighed. "How boring would school be if I wasn't around, Daniels?" he asked her. "You'd fall asleep after the first five minutes without me to cause some trouble." Seriously, although most lessons at Wolfclaw were quite interesting, they could always use some spicing up and if no on else was there to do it, he would.

"I can so believe that!" Violet exclaimed and started to laugh, her dark eyes sparkling brightly as she thought of all the trouble Lezar was likely to cause. "Sometimes I wonder how different your school is from ours, but we also have many trouble makers." she said thoughtfully. She had been told a few things about Wolfclaw of course, but it was always interesting to get more opinions.

Chelsea smiled and laughed as well. "Many people make trouble Wilkins not just you ya gotta remember that" She smiled and laughed shaking her head. "Your such a idiot Wilkins"

"Pah!" Lezar pouted and crossed his arms in front of his chest, looking like a five-year old as he shot a glare at the other Emperor. "I'm special, I can't help it." he said and grinned at her. Then he looked back at the Slytherin girl. "Well... we get taught more dangerous stuff than you do, more dark arts and so and of course our teachers are a bit more violent....well...actually you have pretty violent professors as well." he laughed.

Violet laughed along with the other two, feeling more at ease with these Wolfclaw students than she felt with many of her own school. "Very special ...yes I can see that." she remarked sarcastically before bursting out in laughter again. When he talked about the dark subjects, that quickly caught her attention. "About that...I know it's illegal here, but I was wondering if you could teach me a few things. I had planned to ask Elena or Amatus, seeing as they are a bit older, but you probably know a lot as well already."

Chelsea laughed and looked at her with a eyebrow raised. "I dont see no problem with it but why do you want to lean spells that we get taught. I dont know if Wilkins is brave enough to help me teach you though" She smirked and looked at Lezar with her eyebrow raised as if saying are you gonna teach her as well.

Lezar snorted at Chelsea's words and rolled his eyes, pulling out his wand and leaning forward slightly. "Of course! I can't let you teach her something wrong, can I?" he gave back cheekily and then looked at Violet. "So, what could we teach you...How about occlumency and legilimency? I heard your father is quite good at that, so maybe you have some talent for it already." he suggested with a smirk.

Violet watched the exchange between the two Wolfclaw students and shook her head, feeling really amused by them. When Lezar suggested what to teach her, she immediately sobered and sat up straight. "Oh yes! That would be great! My father said it is too dangerous because I'm too young, but if you can teach me, then I can show him that I'm capable." she agreed readily.

Chelsea smiled and laughed at her eagerness she smiled and nodded. "Okay then which one should we start with first. They are both nice to start with but ya gotta pick one of them to start with" She smiled and waited for a answer knowing about both well she was better at Legilimency then Occumency but it didnt matter really.

"I think we should teach her how to protect her mind first. It's more important for her to be able to defend herself than to attack someone." Lezar voiced his opinion, though he was up to either. He liked the Dark Arts more than all this mind magic stuff, but he would be trying his best to teach Violet a bit of what they had learned.

James wandered through the corridors of Hogwarts, certain that studying would be the end of him. He was a bloody first year, for goodness sake! Why was there so much to learn? Of course, he knew that it was best that they be taught everything that they could in the time that was given, but that didn’t mean he’d enjoy it. No matter how much he looked forward to classes.

Of course, his forming excitement when it came to lessons had little to do with the things he could learn, and more to do with the first year Slytherin who seemed to plague his thoughts. He hardly knew her, only by name really, but that didn’t mean he couldn’t like her.. right? Slytherin or not, she was pretty smart. Not only that, but she was also pretty pretty and that was definitely enough to get the young Gryffindor’s attention.

With thoughts elsewhere, he found himself no longer surrounded in all six directions by stone. The air was a little easier to breath and he realised that he had managed to reach the courtyard with hardly a second glance. “Speak of the bloody devil,” he muttered as his gaze fell upon the object of his thoughts who was speaking with a couple of older, foreign students. “Hey Violet,” he said a little louder as he grew near, hoping that she wouldn’t dismiss him like a few of her housemates had throughout the year so far.

Vanessa had been lurking in the shadows listening in on the groups conversation. She was rpetty good at lurking. She stepped forward and shook her head, "Violet Snape, are you really asking the Wolfclaws to teach you stuff. You know thats a bad idea." She crossed her arms and cocked her head to the side. She recognized the blonde girl as the one her brother had been tlaking to, "Hello miss Daniels."

Chelsea sighed and got on her knees leaning a bit forward looking at the boy. She nodded and waited for Violet to say something. "Hello Miss Masters" She said politely even thought she hated Vanessa she liked her brother alot. She had to at least pretend to like her. "Voilet can lean the spells me and Wilkins learn if she likes it is up to her not you"

Violet was more than excited to finally learn this art which she had hear so much about but never really how to achieve to master it. "Okay, sounds like a plan to me. Then we start with Occlumency." she agreed and pulled out her wand, ready to study it when suddenly a new voice chimed in and she looked up to see another Hogwarts student walk towards them. The Gryffindor was a first year as well and Violet remembered that it was the younger brother of her own brother's best friend. "Oh, hello James!" she called back and smiled slightly at him. Violet did now know him very well except from some of her classes, but he seemed less childish than most of their classmates and she really liked that about him. Turning to her "teachers", she quickly introduced them. "This is James, he's a Gryffindor from my year. James, these are Lezar and Chelsea." Violet was about to go on and when she was interrupted. “Eavesdropping, are you?” she asked, sounding quite irritated. “That is not very polite, is it? And for your information. I know whom I can trust and whom not. You definitely fall into the second category.” Violet really hated to be told what to do and this patronizing tone from the Ravenclaw did not sit well with her at all.

Vanessa giggled softly and flipped her red hair over her shoulers, "Trust me Voilet. Trust... its for the weak. You can never trust anyone. Hell, I dont even trust my own brother half the time." She glared at Chelsea when she said that, "I dont trust the people he associates with." She looked back at the wolfclaw boy and smirked. "Im guessing youre Lezar?" She looked him up and down and scoffed lightly, "Shame, I had heard stories about you. Guess you dont live up to them."
