Out and about (Ethan)

Vanessa roamed the castle, not really thinking about anything. Well that wasnt true. She was thinking about the upcoming ball. It seemed that everyone had a date except for her. Even her brother was going with that wolfclaw girl. She sighed and sat underneath a giant tree and thought about what was going on.

Ethan rarely roamed around the castle, especially since the wolfclaw people showed up. Most Muggle borns could get around without much notice, but Robert and him, they could not. They were the twin sons of the famous muggle singer Ed Sheeran after all. So they were well known enough to get accosted by purists. At least Robert had Lilith to help protect him, Ethan had no one.

He was leaning against a pillar as he noticed a cute red head. he didn;'t go up to her, just admired her from a distance.

Vanessa felt someones eyes on her. She looked up and saw a cute ginger boy watching her. She gave him a small shy smile before returning to her thoughts. But for some reason, her brain kept shouting at her to go talk to him. So she did. She got up and walked over to him and smiled, "Hello."

The boy was cute, and something about him was very familiar. She cocked her to the side slightly as she tried to figure it out. She couldnt quite put her finger on it whatever it was

Ethan smirked slightly and replied "Hullo" He was not sure how to act, normally he treat most people he did not know with cool detachment, as Robert was the more friendly of the two twins. Now a days he did not even talk to anyone, afraid that they were in league with some wolf-claw student.. but this girl was cute. So he was not as cool as he could have been.

When she cocked her head to the side, Ethan did the same "Problem?"

"No problem. You just seem really familiar for some reason." She recognized him from around the castle, but there was something else. The red hair, the facial structure. She shrugged and decided to just brush it off. "I saw you watching em so I thought I'd come and say hello. Im Vanessa." The boy was rather cute. She liked his curly red hair

Ethan laughing lightly "You may have seen my twin, Robert." He of course didn't mention how she could be seeing Ed Sheeran in him, not wanting to pull the 'famous' card on her quite yet. He then shrugged and apologized "Yeah..sorry about that, you caught my eye. I'm Ethan." He did not drop the Sheeran bomb quite yet.

She smiled and giggled when he mentioned he was a twin. "Its funny you have a twin. I do to. Well not exactly, Im older than Ronan, but we look alot alike." She smiled pushed a strand of red hair behind her shoulder. "Its a pleasure to meet you Ethan." She smiled and tugged on the hem of her shirt, "Youre a hufflepuff no?"

Ethan chuckled "Well, my twin is like a minute or two younger, but don't mention that to him, he likes to pretend he's older.. we're identical" Ethan did not miss her slightly suggestive moves. She then asked if he was a hufflepuff "What gave it away?" He asked with a smirk, gesturing to his yellow and black striped scarf, and the Hufflepuff crest on his robes

"Youre vibe just screams hufflepuff." Vanessa was not wearing ehr scarf so she covered her crest on her robes. "Take a guess." She bit her lip shyly and looked up at him with her big brown eyes. She found it rather easy to talk to Ethan. Like Ian, but she could possibly have a chance with this one. Were all Hufflepuffs this way, or was it just them. Whatever it was, she liked it

Ethan chuckled when she covered up her crest and asked him to guess "Hmmmm" He said, thinking "Gryffindor?" He asked, curious. She could be anything really. He almost said Slytherin, just because it seemed people in his family feel for Slytherins.

"Im actually in Ravenclaw." She smiled and lowered her hand to reveal the blue and silver crest upon her robes. "But you did a good job." She smiled and giggled. Her giggle always made her feel like a little girl. She had an airhead giggle that some found adorable while others found it quite irritating and annoying with its high pitched sound. She hoped Ethan was the type to find it adorable. She continued tugging on her shirt and the ends of her hair

Ethan chuckled "That was my second guess" He said, crossing his arms over his chest, as his eyes flitted to hers, to make sure it was the Ravenclaw crest on there. Her giggle was kind of weird, but not truly annoying, just weird. "So miss Ravenclaw, is there any reason you are out here at this time of day, in this weather?" He smirked

"Just walking around. Thinking about stuff. The ball coming up and all that." She sighed at the thought of the ball and played with the ends of her hair and then remembered what Tatsu said so she stopped. She looked up at Ethan and smiled, "Are you going to be attending the ball with anyone?" She wodnere dif he had a date or not already. A big part of her hoped he didnt and the other part hoped maybe he would ask her

Ethan nodded "True, the Ball is coming up" He said, acknowledging that she was indeed correct. He had planned to go alone, since Robert would be going with Lilith. next she asked the very question that was on his mind "I will be going, and I will be going alone. My Brother has a girlfriend he will be going with so..." he shrugged

"My brother will be attending with his girlfriend as well. And I... Well I might not go." She sighed and looked down. "I dont really want to go alone. So I probably wont go if someone doesnt ask me." It sucked that she might end up not going to the ball. She had already gotten the perfect outfit for the ball. She was rather excited, but bummed because of her lack of a date

Ethan shrugged 'why not' he thought to himself before he said "Well I'm not excactly thrilled about going by myself.. We could go together" He shrugged again, then quickly added "As friends of course" He did not want her to jump to the conclusion that he wanted to date her or anything. Sure he found her attractive, but he wasn't that quick.

Vanessa thoguht to herself for a moment. "Sure, that could be fun." She was just happy she had someone to go with. Even if it was just as friends. That way he wouldnt get jealous when she danced with other guys. She smiled. He was cute and all, but she didnt know if she would date him yet or not. But that didnt matter, she was just happy that she had a date.

Ethan smiled "Well that's great." He said. he then decided it was best to leave it like that instead of stay and make everything awkward. "Well.. I should get going.. homework will not do itself." He sighed saddly. he would have rathered stayed and 'got to know' her a little more..

Vanessa nodded and looked up at him> "Same here. I will see you around." She was excited to find Winter and tell her she finally had a date to the ball. She walked off before running up the path to the Gryffindor tower to hell her friend the good news
