Melodies (Hunter)

Vanessa began reading a book on wizard bands and found herself being entirely fascinated. It was so interested to see how much the muggle world and the wizard world had in common. For example music. She began humming and tapping her fingers.

Before she knew it, she was singing softly to herself, "I hear melodies in my head Find little notes in my bed I’ve got songs tangled up in my hair I see piano keys everywhere My heart is a beating drum Repeating my favorite song I hear Beethoven number Nine All the time."

Vanessa pulled out a quill and some parchment and began writing the lyrics. She then began to work on the chorus for her song. “And it's kind of like do re mi About as easy as a b c Beautiful like a symphony I’m talking about you and me here” She smiled down at her work and turned when she heard footsteps,.

Hunter was walking in with his friend Achilles, "Akkie, I'll see you at lunch, I actually have work to do, don't need snape on my case again" he smiled as his friend dashed off to go join Felix and Wulfric training. Hunter walked quickly with a purpose, he grabbed three books then dashed over 'borrowing' a quill and parchemt from a slythein who wasn't paying attention before choosing a desk at random, he slid into his seat and opened all three books, reading them all in his head in unison, before writting down information in a haze of ink and neat writing, the pages turning every 60 seconds, and within ten minunets he'd wrote on three peices of parchemnt, both sides before stopping the books falling gently on top of one another. He paused and sighed rubbing his temples before looking up and realising he had company. "Oh..." he said slightly emabarresed about what he just did, not something he finds flattering. "Hello there."

Vanessa watched as the boy took amazing notes. She wondered just how he did it. She hadnt even noticed her noticed her until he spoke up. She jumped slightly and looked up at him. "Oh, um, hello there." She blushed and pushed her hair behind her ear. "Impressive strategy you got there." She smiled and bit her lip

Hunter smiled slightly not a fan of his own abilities "I...thanks." He looked at her and assesed her in mere moments, reconising her with ease "Hello Vanessa Masters, I'm Hunter Grimm." He had a perfect memory and recall not to mention he could match voice patterns with faces and after a few miniutes could tell yout the differnce between somone and a imitation via boggart, reflection, and Polyjuice potion. "It comes natural to me"

"Well, it must be an interesting gift." She smiled and sat down beside him. "It is a pleasure to meet you, Hunter." Vanessa knew a bit about the Grimms not alot. Just that they should not be messed with. But hunter seemed nice and innocent enough. But then again, so did Vanessa. Faces sometimes lied about what was hidden beneath the surface

Hunter shifted in his seat slightly to keep his back to the wall. A habit. "Its rather embarressing actually. I don't like it" he clicked his fingers and cracked his knuckes before pulling his sleeves down to hide his scars. "Believe me, the pleasure is all mine." he smiled slightly and looked her in the eyes, "So, what are you doing in here"

"working on a new song. WOuld you mind telling me what you think." She sang the part she had just sang once gain and then continued it, "I hear melodies in my heart
Hear melodies in my head I was a little off key Then you melodie me And I’m better than ever I hear melodies in my heart Hear melodies in my head I had the beat a bit wrong But I got a new song now So I put my headphones on Plug into you, plug into you Boy you're my favorite song, Plug into you, plug into you Whoa oh Whoa." She looked up at Hunter and smiles

Hunter drummed his fingers unconsciously along with her. Eventually he noticed and stopped. He nodded, not an expert on music nor a particular fan of the style, he preferred things with loud guitar rifts. Heavy metal. Hunter smiled "Its good, you have a nice voice."

"Thank you." Vanessa stopped singing and looked at Hunter. She smiled and brushed her hair out of her face. "So Hunter, tell me about yourself?" She looked at the boy, her new friend, and smiled. She wanted to know more about him than just his name and his family legends

Hunte raised an eyebrow slowly. He tilted his head and looked at her "They really isn't much to tell, I am the son of one of three Nexian Monarchs, Ares, I'm a Grimm and the name speaks for itself. "My existance isn't really note worthy...yet"

"I think you are note worthy. You are cute, sweet, and funny. If that is not note worthy what is?" She smiled at her new friend and realized how well she got along with the boys from Hufflepuff. Maybe she should have been one herself. She smiled and pushed her hair back as it kept falling forward

Hunter looked up at her "You may hav a point, although, that doesn't really wash with my family" he responded, he looked at her more carefully

"Why is that?" She didnt really know much about the grimms, just that they were well known and kind of scary. She smiled and looked at the boy. He was really cute. Even dateable. But she was Ethan. And she would be loyal to him. She would not make her cousins mistakes

Hunter was incredibly proud of his heritage, his father being Ares Grimm, thus making Hunter the heir to Ares' throne. Hunter found great pride in talking about is his family, and so, he did. "You see, my family, or clan if you'd like. Are the Grimm's current rulers of a society called the Nexus, the Grimm's are the join oldest and probably the strongest, to sum us up quickly we're war obsessed, wand totting, sword wielding, armor wearing, chaos loving, evil personified, complete and utter psychopaths to the core, every last one of us." he said with a smile before tilting his head "Although, saying that we're not uncivilized...well not all of us are. The Grimm's you've heard of, seen and/or met here belong to two bloodlines, the Dragons being Felix, Emrys, Celeste, Damion, he's from wolfclaw, or from mine, the Paladins, Rhea, Jupiter and Kadia. We're two of three, us Paladins rule the Nexus as we won the battle for the throne, and one helluva battle it was." he paused to allow questions and it to sink in before continuing. "No doubt by now you've heard or come across one of the Shadow family's finest. Kain, Wulfric ect ect. There family was born from the Grimm's after a young Grimm, his name forever dubbed "Shadow" Grimm was betrayed and his family was slaughtered. In his rage him and his twelve brothers started to lay waste to the nearby villages before forming the Shadow Clan, our arch rivals and most formidable enemies." he paused again before finishing "That is why it won't wash with my family"

Vanessa was fascinated by each and every word he said. As he spoke, she got more and more drawn in. "That is fascinating. My family is just a bunch of assassins and theives. The Masters family is well known in both the Muggle and wizard wrold. My father is the best wizard assassin in the business. Or at least thats what I have been told. Youre story is much more interesting." She smiled and scooted a bit closer to him

Hunter smiled, although he never heard of the masters, his face briefly displayed that, although it was quickly suppressed beneath his smile. "You should always be proud of your heritage. Its important." he said to nobody in particular. "Being part one of the oldest nations on earth has its bonus's I suppose."

Vanessa smiled and nodded. She liked talking with Hunter. She could see them being good friends, maybe even more. No. No, she was Ethan. She lvoed her ginger boyfriend. He made her smile, but so did Hunter. No, she was destined to be with Ethan. She held her head and groaned without realizing how odd it would look to Hunter that she was doing so.
