Like every other stroll (Serena, PG-13)

Summer was finally here and Adrastos couldn't be happier. Although yes he and Ivy wouldn't see each other for a bit, he didn't have to attend the forsaken classes any longer. And of course his mom would be spending time with Allison since their dad was on an assignment in Czechia and hadn't came back yet. All that allowed Adrastos to do whatever the hell he wanted and being a fourteen year old, that meant mischief of the worst kind. Like that day, that fateful day he had readied many pranks, but he was only experimenting the first. That Hogsmeade path was known amongst Hogwarts students and so, someone was bound to pass by it. It was filled with snow, and of course that was suspicious but all those who were curious would sneak in. Halfway through the path were nearly transparent very thin cables, that once were touched, would make the snow turn into gas from the stinkbombs Adrastos owned. Plus if their target stepped over the snow, they'd eventually step on some zapper, which would still allow Adrastos to laugh although not so much. Hiding behind a wall, Adrastos saw a blonde about to enter the pathway and smirked impishly as he waited.

Serena was on her own, once again, since her mother was out running errands and Drake was off with his friends. Glad that it was summer, she decided to take the path to Hogsmead and see what kind of treasures she could find. As she neared the well-worn path, her eyes fell on what looked like snow... "Snow, in the summer?" she thought out loud. Looking around, she wondered if this was the real deal or some kind of joke. Not wanting to step into this phantom snow, Serena took a good look at it and then walked around. Reaching the other side, her foot connected with something that sent a hard shock through her. "OUCH! What in Merlin's name!" she yelled as the quick pain from the zapper entered and exited her small body.

Hearing that zap sound made Adrastos bite his lip and then his hand so he didn't laugh and finally, he then heard the cable being touched. The snow began dissolving and soon it evaporated turning into that familiar smelly gas. It surrounded Serena, getting beneath her clothes and latching onto her skin so she was stinky for a long period of time. Once the gas had dispersed and the snow along with it, Adrastos carefully made his way to his path so he didn't get zapped, "TADA!" he smirked.

As the snow dissolved into a vile smelling gas thanks to her tripping the hidden cable, Serena coughed and nearly gagged as the smell surrounded her, getting into everything. When the gas cleared, she looked all around her, trying to find the one responsible. Seeing Adrastos appear, Serena nearly growled at him. "Don't you TADA me, Adrastos.... Are you behind all this?" she asked, still waving the stink away before smelling her own clothes when it continued to linger. Scrunching up her nose as she smelled the stink on her, Serena put her hands on her hips and looked at him, waiting for an answer.

Adrastos mirrored her stance but his face did not express anger, it expressed how outraged he was, "How dare you ask me that? Is it not obvious this is my work, my art?" he asked his eyes narrowing. No one mocked his art and got away with it they always found payback in a dark corner so Serena should pick her next words carefully because although she was a gryffindor, Adrastos would not refrain from aiding his art in retaining a good name.

Serena held her glare at his words, but before long, a small smile cracked her icy looks. Letting her hands fall from her hips she shook her head in defeat. "Guess I've not been on the receiving end of your pranks to be able to fully see the....art...in them, as you so put it," she answered, with a light laugh. "Summer got you that bored already?" she asked, slipping her hands into her pockets. She wanted to walk over to him, but she didn't know if this prank was complete or if she was in the middle of a field of untripped booby-traps.

Adrastos shrugged at her question because in fact everything but pranks and Ivy's company got him bored, unless he was on his 'special' days. And that didn't happen often. "Everything gets me bored you know that," he smirked and motioned for her to come over since the prank was done with already.

Chuckling lightly at his answer, Serena moved to him when he motioned for her to. "Hence why you are a prank master," she teased. As a gust of wind blew over them, a fresh whiff of the stink from the gas reached her nose, again. "What in Merlin's name did you use for this stink, Adrastos? It's positively vial!" she asked with both a laugh and a small look of disgust.

Laughing at her question he winked and held out a thumb, "T'is the one I use in my stink bombs. I made it along Fred and George. Pretty powerful heh?" he grinned and opened his arms, "Give us a hug then," he smiled.

"Powerful is an understatement, I think," she said with a laugh, trying to wave the smell away to no avail. She knew that Fred and George were quite the pranksters, and it seemed, Adrastos was one, too. Seeing him open his arms for a hug and his asking for one, Serena raised an eyebrow and then shrugged. Wrapping her arms around her housemate, she hugged him. "Following in their footsteps, huh?" she asked.

Hugging her back Adrastos grinned, and then pretended to gasp, "They're following my footsteps," he laughed as although they were all going to be fourth years, Adrastos was months older, and so, teased the twins about it often.

"Fine, fine.... They are following in your footsteps," Serena teased, letting the older boy go. Looking back at where the trap had been set, she raised an eyebrow and glanced at him. "Was I your target, Adrastos Moody?" she said in mock seriousness. She was pretty sure that he was really just waiting for anyone to come along and spring what he set. She just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Smiling as Serena gave in Adrastos pat her back and chuckled lightly. He enjoyed his time with the gryffindor because she knew how to have fun and to not take his jokes seriously. "Nah, Serena Black, I was aiming for anyone that passed by" he answered as he tilted his head whilst he grinned widely.

Nodding as she looked at his impish grin at saying that really anyone that happened by was a target. "Lucky me...." she said, rolling her eyes playfully. "So, what are you up to beside pranking innocent passers by?" Serena teased with a bright smile. She didn't mind her fellow Gryffindor. In fact, she enjoyed his company. He had a light hearted air about him that always had a way of lightening the mood.

Her question made him snort because when Adrastos thought of it, when did he do something beside pranking others? Well yes there were times where he and Ivy were busy and his lips were captured by hers however, now that it was summer what could he do? She was at home and he was there, with nothing else to do but once again, prank innocents, "Making more pranks?" he rose a brown and shrugged, "I have no idea what I'm doing with my life," he commented and laughed lightly.

"Makes two of us," Serena scoffed with a giggle. With her brother and mother off doing whatever, Serena was often left to her own devices, which meant a lot of time for whatever. As the breeze brought a fresh wave of smell to her nose, she crinkled it and looked at her friend. "Any way to get rid of the stink? Then maybe we can go and have a little fun together," she said. Serena wasn't below a little prank here and there, and since they were both kind of on their own, even just hanging out to pass the time was better then just being alone.

Holding up a palm to tell Serena to wait he went back to the corner and retrieved his dark brown cloak. Placing it around his back and tying the knot around his neck, he took out a flask from a pocket within the cloak and opened it. Squirting the liquid at Serena the bad odor was suddenly washed away by a powerful breeze and was replaced by a smell that mirrored the smell of roses, "All done," he smirked.

Waiting as instructed, Serena watched as Adrastos picked up his cloak and secured it around his neck. The bottle he brought out and sprayed her with, to her surprise, made easy work of the vial smell from his prank. Taking a deep breath, she let out a happy sigh. "Much, much better. Thank you. I love roses..." she giggled, happy to just be rid of the smell. "Now... What now?" Serena asked, sticking her hands in her pockets, and thinking for a few moments.

Leaning down on the field that had been before covered by his fake snow Adrastos wrapped his fingers around a flower, taking it from the ground. Offering the rose to Serena, he smiled warmly at his friend, "Wanna go get a drink?" he asked with a wink, as they were in Hogsmeade, why not make the best of that situation.

Taking the young pink rose from his hand, Serena put it to her nose to smell. It's fragrance was just as wonderful as the spray he had used to remove the smell from his prank. "Thanks," she said with a happy smile. Even for a prankster, Adrastos Moody knew how to be a gentleman. At his offer for a drink, Serena nodded. "That sounds like a great idea!" she answered tipping her head for him to follow her. Hogsmeade was one of the best places to get refreshments, drink or otherwise, and, seeing as it was generally hopping with people, should an opprotunity for a prank arrise, it was also one of the best places for them.

Nodding Adrastos followed Serena back to the middle of the village, and he looked around, spotting a bright bar, and motioning for her to tag along. "Dad knows the owner. He's nice," Adrastos commented as he held the door for the younger gryffindor.

Looking behind her when she lost sight of Adrastos, she noticed he was motioning her towards one of the many bars, though brighter bars, in the area. Walking over, her look asked how they could enter when they were underage, but his answer was enough for her. "Thanks," she said as she slipped in. The atmosphere of the bar was quite cozy and open all at the same time. And, really, it didn't feel like a bar too much. "This place is great! How does your dad know the owner?" she asked, looking around for an empty table for them to have a seat at.

The owner looked over at Adrastos and smiled warmly pointing at the table that was always reserved for his dad. Grabbing Serena's hand, he pulled her along, and sat there. "Dad's the head Auror. Perks of being in the business for so long...he knows a lot of people," he whispered with a broad smirk.

Following his pull on her hand, Serena took a seat across from her friend at the table indicated to them by the barman. "I guess that would help him to know lots of people. It's must be exciting to be an Auror," she said before her smile faded slightly. Aurors had been who had taken her father away before she was born. Thanks to them, she had never gotten to meet her father... But, they were doing their job, she supposed. Serena didn't know what to believe about the man that was the missing piece in her family puzzle. Some said he was this horrible person, while others, like Morgan, believed the complete opposite. Quickly snapping back to the conversation at had, her smile brightened back to how it was before. "How long has your dad been an Auror, Adrastos?" she asked, folding her hands and setting her arms on the table.

Calling the barman Adrastos nodded which meant he wanted the usual. A butterbeer. In this case, two, one for himself, the other for Serena. When she mentioned that his father's job must be exciting his attention was brought back to her, and Adrastos nodded, "Being an auror is dangerous, however, fun, and it pays out. I wanna be an auror when I grow up actually," he admitted with a shrug and at her other question his brows raised as he thought about it. His dad was about fifty years old, maybe older and he had been an auror ever since he graduated. "Thirty two years," he responded with a teasing grin on his face.
