Continuing to the Pitch

David smiled as he was chucked the broom, he mounted it and kicked off expertly, then realized he shouldn't have known this.. looked a little sheepish "i'll be chaser, obviously" He added the last part in his best 'professor Snape' voice. he then smirked at Mio "good practice for the future eh? teamwork!" he winked, then flashed another wink at Sydney, just for the heck of it

Sydney smiled shyly at David before shaking her head. No she had to focus. "I want David on my team." She said confidently. "So Ill be a captain. And Mio can be a capatain. Sound good?" She looked around for an objections

David lost his stride "er.. Okay then" He knew Mio and David couldn't actually be on the same team.. but now that he thought about it.. he didn't want to face his best mate either. He wasn't excactly thrilled to be taking orders from Sydney either, he would have preferred himself as captain, but he saw the sense in it so did not complain

Jace flew around the pitch and watched as everyone talked about teams and what not. "Come on! Lets just play!" What had gotten into him lately? This wasn't normal for Jace. "OI SYD! What if I wanna be Captain huh? Make it a bit of a sibling battle? May the best twin win and all that rubbish?" He looked over at Mio and smiled apologetically. "You dont mind, do you Mio?"

Mio looked around at the others and shrugged. He didn't really saw the sense in having two captains if there were only to chasers and one keeper, but if they wanted to play that way, he really didn't care. "Sure thing, Jace. Though I thought we would just make it a little practice for everyone with David and me trying to get the quaffle past you and the two seekers trying to catch the snitch, but if you want a match, fine. So it's Ian and me against Sydney and David?" he asked to clarify things.

"Looks that way Mio. Well Jace is still technically on your team. Oh, by the way bro, you're going down." She shouted down to Rowan and Stacy, "Hey guys! Can you release the balls?" She wanted to get tarted just as badly as Jace did, but she want going to be as abrasive about it. She turned to David and smiled before throwing  a quick wink his way and flying off in search of the snitch.

Rowan was highly impressed with all of them as they took to the air and sorted out who would play what position. When Sydney asked if they would let the balls go, Rowan looked around for the chest that held what they needed. Seeing a maroon leather chest just up from where she and Stacy were, she motioned to her to come with. At a jog, Rowan took off up the pitch until she reached the chest. Popping the lid open she smiled at seeing the Quaffle, the two Bludgers squirming to get free, and the little chest for the Snitch. "You want all of them?" she asked looking up at everyone. She wasn't sure that having both bludgers free, or one for that matter, with so few of them flying around was a good idea.

Ian was circling the pitch to get used to the school broom which moved a bit differently than his own, which he used at home. But it was fast enough for him to catch the snitch.
Looking down at Rowan, he called out "Just the snitch and the quaffle, I think." They didn't have any beaters and if any of them got hit by a bludger then it would be difficult to explain to the mediwitch how they got injured without admitting to having played quidditch.

Rowan nodded in agreement. Opening the chest that held the Snitch, the smallest ball spread its wings and took off, up and out of sight, whizzing past Mio's ear. Picking up the Quaffle, Rowan smiled at Stacy and made her way out to the middle of the field. Looking up she grinned and said, "On three! One.....Two......Three!" As soon as the word was out of her mouth, she tossed the Quaffle as hard as she could up into the air for their game to start...

Mio followed the golden snitch with his eyes and hoped that Ian would get after it right away, but his attention was soon drawn to the ground where Rowan was holding the Quaffle. As soon as she threw it up, Mio pushed the handle of his broom downwards to dive down to catch it.
Putting it under his right arm, he used his left to steer the broom towards the hoops where Jace was guarding them. Mio flew to passed the left and middle on towards the right, but then twisted his arm backwards to throw the Quaffle through the middle hoop.

Sydneys eyes followed the Golden snitch from the moment it left its case. She dove through the air toward the ground where she saw a little speck of gold whiz by her. She reached out to grab it, but missed by a few mere centimeter, "Dang it!" She soared back up and hovered in search of the nasty little bugger.

Jace watched from his spot in front of the hoops as his sister soared through the air. She had gotten better since last year, what with all her training with Sam in the back yard over the summer. Suddenly, Mio was in front of him ready to throw the quaffle into the middle hoop. Jace flew straight up and guarded the hoop ready to block the shot, "Not so fast, Snape."

David missed the quaffle as it was thrown so Mio got the head start. he flew after Mio, but veered off as he got close to the hoops. He watched as mio aimed the shot..then..

David came zooming out of no where and flew over mio, using the sloth grip roll to grabb the quaffle out of his out stretched hand "Nice try Snape" he smirked back at him as he flew towards the other hand, still smiling to himself. he had actually stolen the quaffle, meanwhile using a move he hand never tried before..maybe he had a chance of joining the team after all.

When he was close to the other end, he deeked left, then tossed to the far right.. his right, not hers.

Sydney smiled as David stole the quaffle before Mio could score, "Way to go, Shuter!" She shouted across the pitch. She winked at him before flying off after the snitch. it zoomed by her left ear and she reache dfor it. but again, just barely missed it. "OH COME ON!"

((I feel really stupid cuz i totally forgot Mio and Jace were on the same team. So ignore my previous Jace post))

(OCC: ignoring the post is cool, since he really did not do anything. Now i think Jace needs to post trying to save David's shot)

Jace dove for the Quaffle that David just threw toward the hoop and miraculously cuaght it. "HA! TAKE THAT SHUTER!" Jace threw the Quaffle back into play and watched as his new friends scrambled for it. He looked down at the ground and smiled at Rowan and waved at her

David couldn't help but smirk at Jace "nothing special about nearly missing a shot from a first year Di'Angelo. ne who has never played quidditch I may add" he laughed and then sped off after the quaffle.

"Oi, Shuter! Take it easy on my brother." Sydney shouted as she sped after the Golden snitch. Her arm stratched out, she made a nose dive until her broom hit the ground and made her flip over. Sydney landed flat on her back and groaned in pain.

David groaned quietly. if she had not called out to him as he shot, and concentrated on him as he talked to her brother. "mind your own business Di'Angelo!" he shot back to her as he flew for the quaffle, he did feel a pang of concern.. but he was more angry than anything

"SYDNEY!" Jace shoutd as he watched his little sister crash to the ground. He dove for her and jumped off his broom. He slid across the ground and stopped by her side, "Time out guys! Syd, are you ok?" He tried to get her to sit up, but stopped when she yelped in pain. "Syd?"

"Shite!" Ian cursed and stopped his pursuit of the golden snitch although he had been quite close when suddenly the hufflepuff girl hit the ground. He quickly dived down and landed next to her and her brother, stumbling slightly from the impact. "Is she okay, Jace?" he asked worriedly.

Sydney groaned in pain, "Jace..." She opened her eyes slowly and saw Jace and Ian staring down at her. "Did I catch it? Did I catch the Snitch?"

David had expected her to get back up, but when Jace called time out, he tried a difficult move that would allow him to flip around fly down towards them, but messed it up and almost fell of his broom. he was able to catch himself, and with a grunt, pulled himself back onto the broom. He flew down in a calm and safe way, then landed and said "is she okay?'

"David... my head hurts." She held her head and groaned. "Jace..." She held her arms out to her brother and waited for him to pick her up like he always did.

Rowan watched as the five of them flew around crazy, playing their game. When Sydney fell, Rowan took off to her just after Ian and her brother landed next to her. "Sydney, are you ok?" she shouted breathlessly as she slid to a stop. Hearing that her head hurt made her worry. Putting a hand on Ian's arm, Rowan looked up at him and said, "We should take her to the hospital wing...."

"No! No hospital wing. I dont want you guys to get in trouble." She looked straight at Ian and David as she said this. "I'm fine." When she tried to stand up she swayed before falling into her brothers arms.
