And The Winner Is (Tri Wizard Victors Announcement)

Luna stood impatiently at the hufflepuff table waiting for the victor to be declared. The room darkened and the goblet glowed brightly. A pause. She felt as though her heart would burst out of her chest. Luna Valkyrie...was called out and Luna's electric blue eyes widen. Hufflepuff's hugged her and Luna just stood there. Frozen. ''I won?'' She whispers and managed a small smile. She looks up at Dellen and a grin forms on her face. She bows her head and leaned against a wall behind her, trying to process the whole ordeal. How the fuck did i win? She thinks to herself with a small smile. She walks over to the Gryffindor table to try and find Sirius.

Sirius laid on the bench, occupying more than two seats, as James sat next to him. Peter was on the other side of the table, and those two marauders were hearing everything Dellen said closely. Yet, Sirius didn't care anymore. In his mind, he was simply humming a song. He had his friends. Marvolo. He didn't need to win the tournament anymore. Of course wining would be nice, but still...who gave a rats ass. Upon hearing Luna's name, Sirius's eyes remained shut, as James shot him a glare. "Are you seriously not gonna care?" He asked, shaking his head. Sirius shook his head slowly, resting his head on his arms instead of the hard wood. "But...you lost." James said, with a smirk. "Who cares..." Sirius answered, as his continued to hum in his mind. James shrugged as Peter smiled.

Sirius wasn't happy. He was content. Somehow, Luna winning was better than Cian winning. Perhaps because the woman won, and no male had to be the Alpha Male. It made Sirius relax further, as cheers were heard. Many gryffindors cheered as well, but not because Luna won. Because the tournament was finally over...

Luna see's James and Sirius talk but concern filled her. Is there something wrong? She thinks to herself and walks over to Sirius. She see's a space next to him so she takes it and puts her hand on his shoulder. ''Hey Sirius...'' She whispers and then hugs him. ''Thank you...Without you by my side, i wouldn't have gotten this far. I owe you so much, Sirius...Ever need anything, i'm here...You kept me going. Don't ask why ya just did.'' She kisses his cheek and looks up at James and nods her head with a smile. ''Hello James...'' She says quietly, knowing he probably hates her for what she did.

Cian sat with the other WolfClaw students as everyone in the Great Halls awaited the announcement of the victor to the Tournament. Frankly, he was just happy it was over. These tasks had tested him in a way that almost reminded him of the tests he underwent during his 'coming of age' tradition with his family. Never again....It's over...... he thought to himself.

As the hall darkened and candles lit, a hush fell over everyone in attendance. Luna Valkyrie... As applause and cheers filled the area occupied by Hufflepuff House, Cian joined their cheers and smiled at Luna. He was happy that she had won. He saw the heart, bravery, and skill she use to complete these tasks, and was happy it paid off for her. Cian Dawson The area around him was suddenly filled with cheers and claps of its own as his housemates and several schoolmates offered their congratulations and pats on the back. Second was fine by him...

Cian didn't wait for the announcement of third place. Instead he got up and walked over to the Gryffindor table where Luna was talking to Sirius. He placed his hand on her shoulder and said, "Congratulations, Luna. You deserve it." His brown eyes found Sirius and he extended his hand to shake the Gryffindor's. They had had a rocky start, but he hoped that perhaps that could call a truce. "Good show, mate. I'm just glad it's over...." he said.

As Sirius kept his eyes shut, he felt someone hug him. As he opened his eyes, he caught the site of a familiar chest. Luna... Sirius smirked, not bothering to let her see his open eyes, closing them again. As Luna pulled away from the embrace, Sirius smiled and nodded, and didn't bother to get up. James didn't smile, but simply nodded. "Congratulations..." James wouldn't say she deserved it though. In his eyes, Sirius deserved it. But of course, it would always be like that.

As Sirius heard Cian's voice, he sat up nearly instantly. Cian had cost him Morgan. But now, Sirius could say he was happier. He took his hand, and gripped it tightly. "Same on my end..." He responded, as Peter waved from behind him, and James smiled at Cian.

Cian nodded to the other boys. "I'm sorry for the trouble I've caused you. I hope we can put it behind us," he said, his Irish lilt touching his words. Letting Sirius' hand go, Cian reached into the pocket of his robe. "Here. I had my mother send these for when the tournament was over.... I'll take Kestel's back to WolfClaw with me," Cian held out a CLOVER encased in clear resin to Luna and Sirius. "A little extra luck never hurts. Four leaves, four champions, one goal in common..... To finish....." he said with a wink.

Marvolo stood in the back of the great hall quietly watching the headmistress speak, she smiled as Luna was announced the winner, walking down the lines of tables she hugged luna "You did amazingly babe" she said before dropping to a knee next to sirius she kissed him "Your still my hero" she whispered in his ear and nuzzled him.

Luna looks up at Cian and nods. She didn't deserve to win. Sirius did. ''Well done, Cian.'' She says and listens to his conversation to Sirius. She took his gift and smiles kindly at him. ''Thank you, friend. Please..keep in touch!'' She reaches up and hugs him tightly. She releases him only to feel familiar arms wrap around her. She giggles and holds on tightly to Marvolo. ''Thank you love.'' She watches her with Sirius and she smiles, getting up to walk to her table.

*Kronos*

Kronos comes over to Luna and lifts her up in a hug. "Well done love" He was so proud of her. "You were awesome. You totaly deserved your win, don't argue it with me, I saw it in your eyes, so don't. You did deserve to win."

Jocelyn stood in a dark corner as the champions were announced, Cian was second, Luna first. Jocelyn was happy for them but didn't go in the lights, she stayed behind because the truth was there and so close. Cian was going back to Wolfclaw and she stayed behind, no more warm arms around her cold body, no more irish words through his sentences and no more having fun. It was like she lost another one of her friends. They talked about, sending letters everyday but was it going to last till the day they would meet again, wouldn't he grow tired of her and her letters or the other way around. Tears rolled down her cheeks as if she hadn't been crying for days, she was an emotional wreck. There she would stand again, alone with no one to protect her.

Cian looked around to find his girlfriend. When his brown eyes spotted her, he saw her lurking in the shadows, and tears wetting her cheeks. He walked to her and smiled his crooked smile. Raising his hand to her cheeks, he dried her tears. "Are ye not happy, Lassy?" he cooed to her. Cupping her face, he raised it to meet his and gently kissed her on the lips. After the small kiss he looked into her eyes, "Smile for me."

Jocelyn saw Cian looking for her and as he found her he came right up to her, shushing her. "I'm happy for you, second place i disagree you need to have the first place." Jocelyn said as she sniffed a couple of times before kissing him. Jocelyn wanted to smile so badly but him leaving would fall so hard for her. She gave him a weak smile.
